Hurricane Beryl weakens to a Category 1 for those in its path for Texas

I am located around the Texas coast and so far it's not that bad. Usual tropical storm weather. There was a baby hurricane in May going into June. A category 1 hurricane in June going into July isn't too far off.

If you are used to weather, it's the usual preparation plan: eat at home, expect to not go into work Monday and Tuesday, possibly no power. If someone is not used to the weather, it's probably best to evacuate. Crazy lighting and thunder, however. Eight inches of rain every day it happens.

Stay safe out there, Coastal and Port Texans. By the time it hits Louisiana, we should be alright. Great way to start the July season /j.
