I love this beat here. Something so appealing about Batman just pausing to marvel at the simple beauty of a city at night. This comic has regular narration; it's very intentional to have this be Bruce's thoughts.

So often, I feel like Batman is reduced to a very cynical role, somebody who only sees the shadows, never the light, so I love this. And just the sort of gentle, poetic way he describes it too. And it's not a moment where he has peace of mind in the story; he's already worried and suspicious, but that doesn't turn his mind dark. He can still see the beauty in a city glittering at night.

Dc writers writing a jaybin or pre-robin story need to have red hood, joker, and crowbars put on a shelf. It needs to be locked up. Prove you can handle writing the Robin run and Jason as a character on his own before you earn foreshadowing
