Well, #TheView decided to insult healthcare providers across the country. Apparently there was a little confusion about those Littmanns that we carry around. Contrary to your belief @joyvbehar, they don't all belong to doctors and get used daily among a multitude of healthcare professionals. My precious pink stethoscope has heard the first breath of a newborn, the last breath of someone's mother, the absent lung sounds of a gunshot victim, the stridor of a choking child, breath sounds after a successful intubation, the rattle of pulmonary edema, and blood pressures a machine couldn't register. #Paramedics, #Doctors, #RespiratoryTherapists, and #NURSES bust their tails day in and day out, TOGETHER, to save lives. We all sacrifice our bodies, our families, holidays, sleep, and meals to make sure others get to spend another day with a loved one. We don't always win, sometimes we are just there to hold a hand and be empathetic. There isn't a day that passes that healthcare is easy. Eric John is still one of the best men I've ever known. Every bit of this stands true today. His Faith in the Lord has carried him through some obstacles that on days may have seemed unsurpassable.
