i was at an event last night in california and i went to the bar to order wine bc wine was like, a thing, and i looked at the menu and saw i was completely out of my depth bc idk any wine names, so i turned to my right and there was a man in a gorgeous suit standing at the bar beside me and i said “do you know anything about wine?” and he said “a little, yes!” i told him i liked white and dry wines and asked if he’d order for me. he asked the server for two glasses and had one poured for each of us and then he clinked his glass on mine but he didn’t take a sip, he just watched me taste mine and then he asked what i thought and i said “it’s pretty good, but like i said, i wouldn’t know.” he laughed and told me to have a good time & i walked away. fifteen minutes later i found out he’s the winemaker.

with the way tfpyro ended his letter back home commenting on how his father's writing has improved and saying that Igna being 7 years old doesn't mean anyone has actually taught her how to read heavily implies that education in Tegrith isn't... the greatest. and it really makes me wonder how well read pyro was before he left home and how much he had to catch up on when he got to Moffa. How well could he read and write? How much did he have to learn on the road?

and if he did struggle with it, It gives a lot more context to his "wizard speak". Like he clearly went to greath lengths to learn how to speak eloquently to compensate for receiving a less than stellar education growing up, and it was most definitely necessary for any position they wanted to hold on the local council (and obviously being seen as capable and competent to other people is important to him). I can very easily imagine him specifically studying how the people around him talked and popular literature in Moffa to expand his vocabulary. he gets teased for it a lot but it makes sense that he wouldn't want to give anyone a single reason to dismiss him.

It also makes me look at how vocal pyro is about sharing information and keeping people up to date differently. He knows what it's like to be in a new place with a completely different culture while trying to play catch up with everyone else. He just wants everyone to be on the same page with all the knowledge currently available and helps anyone who seems like they're lagging behind (to the point where one could argue he's being a little too free with certain information). it's a trait that endears me to him even more lol I love you characters who extend a helping hand because they know what it's like to struggle.

honestly in my book any time assassinduo get a major plot point the stocks go UP UP UP because holy shit, THE DRAMA? the possibility of betrayal already implies a high degree of closeness. you cannot betray a stranger... and we all know no matter how hard they will try they can never be free of each other >:D

and fr, i love ash so much as a character, and to me it makes sense WHY he acted the way he did, and i love the nuance there, how there's no easy solutions when it comes to these two. and it all boils down to the same conflict, again and again:

cause we have ash who realized his mistake in handling the situation, but still too stubborn, the whole thing too fresh on his mind, to fully admit it. and ewron who isnt mad, just disappointed. speaking of ash in anger, he excludes him from his family when talking of him, but still... he didnt take the easy way out and agree to killing ash for dark cucurucho. friends, allies, or enemies, ash is his to keep and his to lose.

i knew it in my heart of hearts ewron wouldn't go through with killing ash ngl. partly because of being on ewron's streams and hearing him pondering his options, and getting this one absolutely goated donate that said it would be extreme aura to stay loyal to ash despite it all, really make it sting once ash realizes what he has lost. absolute cinema

you should have a rough outline of a plan for if any of your loved ones experiences psychosis, it really does happen a lot.
