Macross Delta 26/End
Well, that was...messy. I need subs so I might get stuff answered...but it was so rushed, everyone was smiling too damn much when it was the middle of a war lmao. The mecha fights were...idk, comparing them to Gurren Lagann, so underwhelming I couldn’t care less. So, stuff. -When they are in the naked area, Hayate goes “Freyja!” and Mirage who is like inches from him goes “Hayate!Freyja!”, that felt so stupid idk, why name him. It feels like she has a ocd by calling names, especially Hayate and Delta 4. -Her confession....one can argue she helped save everyone by giving Freyja courage...but idk, I didn’t like the timing. I hate that the only purpose Mirage had was just pushing HayaFre together when they didn’t even need it. -Mirage. If she wasn’t in the promotional art, I can’t call her a MC at all. It was a waste of a good character design, she had so much potential, at least she did some air moves in the last episode but they totally waste it with her. Delta 4. She needed to get out of the triangle after 16, but that didn’t happen and she ended crying again, that’s the last shot of her. -I always felt Keith and Roid had something more than friendship. a la ReiReiMakina -Makina is badass. -Huh KanameArad? I still don’t get why we had so many I remember Messer from Kaname, like if it was stopping her to try something with Arad. She never showed signs of liking him back. I’ll pretend AradKaname happens off screen. -Or Mikumo and Kaname go on a holiday, that can work. -Windermeare makes my eyes roll. As villains they were super lacking. -The pace was great up to 16~17. Then they should have developed some characters better. -Lady M? who? Now... -FreFre <3 Freyja became my fave so fast, I’m glad she survived and suki’d the situation for everyone. -HAYAFRE~ I wouldn’t have liked this Macross that much if HayaFre didn’t become canon tbh. Their progress was amazing. With Frontier even if the one I rooted for lost, both couples were developed properly. This wasn’t a triangle at all. -I love both MC. I never got to like Sheryl or Alto tbh. I rooted for Ranka but I think I liked her VA more, that bias. -The other MCs, Walkure, I also really like them. -Mikumo was a great plot point and character, but she could have be given more development. -The songs, I LOVE THEM. I have them in replay~ JUNNA’S voice damn. All in all a good ride. Messy plot, very likable characters, great songs, HayaFre.
