Lois Lane has always known exactly what she wants. An army brat raised by a single father, it was right after graduating from Raleigh College that Lois was hired by the Daily Planet. There was no intermittent period for the precocious young woman, she’d studied to be a journalist & so it was that she became just that. Perry White, however, would be the man to send her off on a path of indecision. It was in a region of the Canadian Arctic that Lois had her first encounter with the man the world would soon come to know as Superman. 

Initially saved by the man, Lois would go on to deduce the stranger’s identity & eventually fall in love with him. Her fascination though, would act as a defining moment in her career as the newspaper head first refused to run any of her wild-eyed stories about the supposedly great feats this stranger could perform. It was through her unrelenting compassion & dedication to an ideal of truth that the world would be given its savior. For better or for worse.

Backing Superman while simultaneously working alongside Clark Kent has proven again & again to be a source of contention between her career & her relationship with Clark, though more often than not, Lois can persuade Perry to let her chase a story well beyond reason. This is, in part, due to her clear & proven sense of perception. Despite all of her strengths, no one was prepared to deal with the creature Lex Luthor created. Again & again, Lois has been asked to throw caution to the wind & believe in the unbelievable. Never more so than when the smoked cleared after the battle in Metropolis. Superman was dead & Lois had to bury the love of her life. Perry offered her an extended leave, but as soon as Lois left Smallville she was anxious to bury her head in another story. Anything that didn’t have something to do with capes or glory. Though she has seemingly lost all hope, Lois is determined now more than ever to dig out stories from underneath the corrupt. Her scoops can be vastly compromising, but she actively seeks these moments out with tenacity of a person who no longer sees their own safety as a priority.

                                                               Personality

Lois typically does not assume the role of damsel in distress. Though she may not have been as physically capable as her boyfriend, Lois possess more bravery than most men. She is also resolute & determined. While she seeks major breakthroughs in current affairs, she is willing to sacrifice her own success for the sake of the greater good, in this case not revealing Superman’s identity. Fair & loyal to her core, Lois is not only a fantastic reporter but an even better friend.

Enlisting in the army under falsified documents at the age of sixteen, Slade’s initial combat training would serve as the bedrock for a litany of more to come. Adept from day one, Slade was taken under by his mentor, Captain Adeline Kane, after returning from a stint on duty in Iraq. She’d seen his boundless potential & harkened on sharpening Slade’s skills as well as developing new ones. The two of them eventually fell for one another & Kane was due to be pregnant just before Slade was called on tour again, this time in Afghanistan. By this time, Wilson had achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; his clearance made him one of the few privy to a top-secret program the military had been working on parallel to Lex Corp. Volunteering for the unnamed experiment that was supposed to have increased his ability to withstand trauma as well as chemical methods of torture & interrogation, Slade was doused with an experimental brand of metahuman DNA. 

As progressive as the project was, it failed. To an extent. Slade was placed into a medical induced coma after his vitals became irregular. When he awoke, Kane had given birth to their son but the monumental moment in his life would be eclipsed by the depression that would grow on him after being discharged from the Army & enable to reenlist. Slade’s second chance came by way of his second son, but Slade’s inability to advance his military career still ate away at him. The serum had unlocked a wealth of potential in Slade, who was now capable of actively using ninety percent of his brain as well as the physical side affects that appeared to be increased strength & durability. 

Life, however, marched on. Slade provided for & found wealth for his family via big game hunting. -- In actuality, Slade’s slow amassed fortune was acquired largely by contract kidnapping & killing. The Wilson’s wealth would eventually attract the attention of a group of mercenaries that broke into their mansion & kidnapped their youngest son. When Slade returned home from a trip to Africa, he swore revenge on the men but hotter still was the anger of his wife. The truth had come out. These men were no ordinary robbers & in a fit of rage, Adeline discharged a .44 at her husband. Once, then twice. Slade had put his family in jeopardy, evidently for years, & it was that night that Slade lost his right eye. The first bullet had missed but the second destroyed his vision. Their fallout would later be reconciled, but it took a generous amount of time before Slade became convinced that he was just as proficient a hunter with the use of only one eye. Under the alias & guise of Deathstroke, Slade has proved himself over & over again to be one of the deadliest men on the planet. A highly sough-after assassin for-hire, Slade has maintained his identity & still lives with his children in Bludhaven.

                                                                Personality

Servitude is something Slade knows a lot about. In his case, initially, it was too his country. Now a mercenary by proxy, Deathstroke does not have to appeal to any higher power. In fact, he rages against authority. Raised & made by the ideals of an army, Slade Wilson operates under a strict code. He’s still very much haunted by the ghost of what might have been his life had he kept climbing rank within the military. That being said, Slade is an extremely arrogant individual, as made evident by Deathstroke’s helmet being sightless on the right side. Confident, tactical & a lone wolf, Slade Wilson is a force to be reckoned with.
