tbh i couldn’t care less about “illegal fiction”, because all that matters is the ethics of it. if your morals are based only on what the law says, then your morals are not strong and you just rely on what the people in charge say without actually thinking deeper on it.
laws are different everywhere. if someone lived somewhere where homosexuality was outlawed, i would not think its wrong for them to engage in it.
because i see people argue that lolisho isn’t illegal and that’s why it’s okay, but even if it were illegal, which it is in some places, that wouldn’t change my view on it. because it still harms no one. and i don’t care for obscenity law.
rape is wrong because it involves someone’s autonomy and consent to be violated, murder is wrong because it kills someone, incest is wrong because the power imbalances and abuse often involved, it isn’t wrong BECAUSE it’s illegal, it’s wrong because of how it affects others. CSAM is wrong because it involves the exploitation and violation of a child. NOT because it’s illegal or icky. and i often see people try to lump lolisho into the same category as CSAM which is a term that refers to the exploitation of real children, and has nothing to do with fiction that just grosses you out.
i do not judge people for breaking laws that don’t hurt people. like pirating digital media, reading weird smut fanfiction, or loving the same sex in a country that criminalizes it.
if you need a law to tell you something is bad, maybe do some more thinking. you should be able to understand yourself what makes it wrong.
