For all its faults in how it handles it I have an immense respect to Godzilla King of the Monsters actually trying to be like one of the earlier Showa movies where its trying to say something about our relationship to the natural world with Godzilla as a vessel for that.

But also the best movie in the Monsterverse if it didn't exist is the one where Godzilla bathes in the blood of a giant mcfucking crab and Kong fights ozempic King Louie in the center of the Earth.
