So I finished the project hail mary book today and while technically I'm supposed to be sleeping like a normal functional human being right now but I had a thought about Grace's 'me burgers.' Grace didn't have any plants with him so breads, vegetables, and most seasonings would be off the table. Were the 'me burgers' just slabs of cooked clone meat and nothing else then??? I mean I get it, human meat is supposed to taste somewhat like pork, and that up untill the 'me burgers' came along Grace was just eating either Taumoeba, coma slurry, or nutritional shakes curiosity of the science eridians but still. Come on Grace your better then this, he litterly brings up that he has at least one 'me burger' a day. (ಠ_ಠ)

AU where Grace while yes still being the first to interact with astrophage doesn't speak up at all to Stratt and ends up back in the classroom. He still enjoys teaching but his students are bringing up the star a hell of a lot more and its eating away at Grace. A small part of him still wanted to help study it but he doesn't have the guts to call Stratt back after his break down infront of all those people and Stratt included. So he doesnt, he hears about the hail mary mission from the news, gets a new set of students the next few years who are all equally just as curious about astrophage as the last. When the news breaks out that the main science specialist and his replacement died a week before launch and how they brought on a new one, Grace knows somthing is wrong. He KNOWS that the new scientists won't have enough time to learn about astrophage but again he does nothing and says nothing. The mission is sent off and the world starts to get colder. Do the others survive in space? Who knows. Did they even learn enough about astrophage let alone breed enough for the mission now that Grace wasn't helping? How could we know? Grace is just a teacher to a classroom of students slowly loosing its attendance.

And Rocky? If the same thing happens where Yáo, Ilyukhina and whoever else was taken in place of Dubois and Shapiro where all to die in their induced coma then Rocky probably dies in space alone after hundreds of years with only his ship and the Hail mary that made it to Tau Ceti but only with three corpses and four empty Beatles who never saw use.

You ever think about how Eridians mate for life by laying an egg next to each other so by Rocky and Adrien being mates that probably means Rocky also has a kid. And knowing that it took months for grace to even find out about Adrien im not entirely shocked if Grace either found out by 1. talking about his kids (students) and Rocky bringing up his own to relate or 2. Grace makes it all the way to Erid before being introduced to a small Eridian that (let's be honest here Grace is bad at naming things) will probably be given the name Pebble.

I really want to draw bloodymary but I've litterly never drawn a man before in my life and is pissing me off. They keep looking like twinks and I cant figure out how to draw facial hair without it looking weird.

Anyway if anyone has good suggestions on how I should start i would greatly appreciate it

Not only does Markiplier now know and acknowledge the Bloodymary ship but I love thinking about the Markiplier fans who hadn't yet found out about it and must have been so confused as to why Ryan Gosling was mentioned only to look in the comments and see the entire Bloodymary fandom freaking out about the containment breach.

This is how we indoctrinate new followers of the wonderful ship that is Bloodymary

Sometimes I think about what would happen if Grace ended up coming home to earth. If the taumoeba didn't leak from the xenonite breeders and Grace had no reason to go back and save Rocky.

Imagine how the world currently freezing and suffering from starvation would react to the suicide mission suddenly comeing back to earth. Did the Hail mary even have a way to land? It was designed to go out to space and send information back so maybe Grace has to use the little training Rocky gave him to try and land in the ocean and hope he survived especially with all the ice now forming on earth now. Would everyone assume the mission failed? That the hail mary never even made it out to Tau Ceti? Then come to find out only one person survived and it was the one guy who didnt even want to be there in the first place. Ryland Grace, the man who made first contact with alien life three times and would probably be emotionally attached to any of Rocky's xenonite puppets because that's all he had left of him now that Rocky was going back to his home Erid.

I imagine Stratt and him meeting up for the first time since she "betrayed" him and how awkward it would be especially because the other two died in the coma so he had no one except for Rocky and now he wouldn't even have that.

Would Grace go back to teaching? Would he leave the taumoeba to Stratt and try to rejoin the society that had put their faith in him without knowing it? How would Grace even react to being with humans again after YEARS alone? I imagine Grace meeting up with his students from before he had left, or at least whatever was left of them hoping they where part of the people who survived, and telling them all how much he missed them and all about Rocky, his best friend who helped save the stars.

Anyway I cried while writing this. I just love Rocky so much it hurt a bit thinking that he wouldn't have anyone to watch him sleep once again. Also think Grace might have attachment issues anytime he sees a rock that reminds him of Rocky and Stratt and his students would just have to nod along and hope this is normal.

Bonus pov of Rocky coming home to Erid and Adrien having to deal with the stories of a leaky space blob who helped save the stars. (They're right where they want to be as long as Rocky is there)
