hi y’all — i can’t believe i’m actually doing this in the year 2023 but after 6 long years of burying bbc sherlock into the back of my brain, the hyperfixation has resurfaced. earlier this year me and my friends decided on a whim to watch the first episode and i was hooked again. i was obsessed with the show between 2014-2017 but never made a tumblr account for it, and only ever lurked within the fandom. i never interacted or got involved despite it being my #1 special interest for so long…..but the brainrot has taken over so much that i finally have caved and decided to make a tumblr for my infinite love of johnlock and sherlock in general. it’s 90% of what i think about nowadays and i really want to make friends who love it and want to talk about it as often as i do. especially so i stop harassing my irl friends about it. anyway! pls let’s be moots and friends if you love sherlock. it would mean the world! 🫶

materializing on tumblr after an age of silence because apparently this account can only be summoned by the ancient and powerful need to scream about the hobbit again. i have an entire house to myself and apparently the way i’ve chosen to celebrate that freedom is by watching it alone and thinking about how thorin’s last gift to bilbo was permission to go home. go back to your books and your armchair and your garden and your simple little life because you were right, bilbo. that was what mattered all along.

but then thorin dies and ensures that home will never feel completely like home to bilbo again. EXCUSE ME?????? he sends bilbo back to the shire but bilbo can never return to the person he was before he loved him. and then decades later this entire enormous inexplicable life-altering bond can only be compressed into the words “he was my friend” because what else could he possibly call him?????

anyway i am alone in this house but unfortunately so is bilbo baggins, spiritually speaking

how tf do you be around people while grieving? i have to but i have zero desire to socialize and if i have to listen to my coworker bitch about the weather for the 10th time and seek me for validation while all i can think about is my terminally ill father who lives in a trailer by himself, i am going to blow a fucking gasket.

but no i’m actually so lonely and another coworker keeps trying to involve me in social activities, probably because it looks like i need it but really all i need is maybe a good hug and to be left alone. i just can’t focus on anything anyone says. the grief is too loud in the brain to absorb anything else right now. :/
