30+/Cis-Asexual/She-Her. #BLM #FromtheRivertotheSea #Transpositive #LGBTQ+positive. I've had this tumblr since 2011 and I don't plan on leaving any time soon. I'm an old lady by Tumblr standards but you kids can play on my lawn as long as you like. Just don't be hateful. Mostly MCYT content - Hermitcraft and Life Series. Other stuff too, hence the username
I have successfully copied all my mcyt fanfics onto my AO3 account and I'm willing to link that here. I was wary at first cause it has some really old fanfics from some fandoms I haven't been in in such a long time. And also a very NSFW minecraft vore fic I wrote as a dare back in 2015
Even if she HAD stolen the diapers... Why are you shooting at someone over diapers. That wasn't because he cared about no damn theft. He wanted to shoot, and he killed a one year old over it.
Hey, hey, look me in the eyes when I tell you this okay? The whole "do trans women or trans men have it worse?" debate going on right now is the most obvious CIA bullshit on earth cause honestly we've both got it pretty shitty and fighting each other isn't helping anyone
I think it's a fed goal to get us to split with this kind of discourse. How much does it like materially affect us to decide who has it worse. We're both being murdered and systematically oppressed. Irrespective of whether you're right if they're right I just don't see how it's productive for us to spend our time on "oh actually trans men have it easier than trans women." At the end of the day, Juniper Blessing was still stabbed 40 times in cold blood, and Brandon Teena was still raped and murdered. There's more important things than arguing about this stuff.
Exactly. Arguments about who's not oppressed enough don't matter right now, THEY ARE KILLING US. THEY ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO ERADICATE US. ALL OF US. Who cares who's having a worse time in the foxhole, THEY ARE COMING FOR ALL OF YOU!
It’s also not below them to do this shit either. We literally had it confirmed multiple times that 4chan kept having fucking psyops designed to destroy and radicalize that community. And that was fucking 4chan!!
In the ye olde days, when technology allowed phones to become small but there was no general concensus on what a phone should/ought to look like, it was like the wild west of phone design. The crazier it was, the higher the prestige. Phones back then did two things and they did them with flamboyance.
hey. you have to love your trans brothers of color okay. and your trans sisters of color. and your nonbinary siblings of color. you have to okay. its simply non-optional
Golly, I absolutely adored their intro!! I think I'll be really fun following along with the letters to their mom as her character goes through everything the plot throws at them (Cleo is gonna survive until the end, trust!!!)!
[more closeups & yapping below]
General symbolism and details:
1.The bats! Small reminder:
The upper, active bat, represents turned vampires, and the lower, passive bat represents Oakhurst's human residents. A bats open eyes literally represents the knowledge of vampires. Likewise, closed eyes represent them not knowing about or simply not believing in vampires.
It is no secret that Cleo does not believe in vampires, instead alotting the death of the entire village 200 years ago to some sort of virus. As of such Cleo's bat has it's eyes firmly shut.
2.Their corset and accessories!
Nothing mayorly lore relevant about the corset itself, I am just really pleased with how the paneling and stitch work came out!
Cleo's accessories however are strictly made out of gold, unlike Avid's, as they don't need them to be made out of silver to ward off vampires and are purely asthetic! [psssst, peep the amazing chain!!]
3.More references!
The most obvious nod to their character are of course the nightsade flowers adorning her head and being pinned to their blouse.
The small satchels on their belts are for keeping seeds, and she has a special holster for a small shovel, as a nod to them taking over most of the farming for Oakhurst.
The clock next to those shows three quarters to midnight as a nod to them being unable to be oblivious, or uncaring, about vampires for not much longer.
The four horsemen of characterisation:
Every character portrait will be accompanied by four icons representing them, their past, and their personality. For Cleo they are:
1.A parchment roll and feaher as a stand-in to what I imagine the letter to their Mum to look like. There is obviously so much more to this part to her backstory and ,gosh, am I exited to see what it is!! The timeline of them living in Oakhurst and the big massacre just doesn`t add up unless their mum is either ancient, a vampire, or I am just stupid and misunderstood something. [the last one is very likely, lets be honest...]
2.A Nightshade flower! Little fun fact for you: Nightshades, like Atropa belladonna (deadly nightshade) beong to the family Solanaceae, to whom common field plats like potatoes and tomatoes belong too!! So not only is it a cute little nod to Zombie-Cleo and the undead but also a reference to them being a farmer [intentionally or not]!!
3.A virus trappeed in the most darling little bottle. Very obviously representing Cleo's adamance to alotting the death of the entire village 200 years ago to some sort of virus or illness, almost like she bottles the idea of another reason up inside herself [aaaaa, you see what I did there!! Bottles up!]
4.Carrots and seeds. At this point I am hitting you over the head with these obvious references, oml... But yeah, gotta fill the farmer reference quota!! Plussss, carrots are part of the family Solanaceae (Nightshades) aswell!!
Ok enough with my obsession about symbolism in art and on to my final words!! I would genuinely freak out if the village had been wiped out by something that could tecnically be classified as some sort of illness or disease. Something that turns the infected into some bloodthirsty, dehumanised versions of themselves. Vampires, perchance?!!!
Oh I am so normal about this and all the implications!! Imagine Cleo's mum being "infected", having gotten turned all these years ago! That certainly would explain the weird time problems. And the heartbreaking thought that she sees it as some disease she is afraid to spread to others?? Cleo venturing out to Oakhurst to find something that can cure their mum? Oh these tragic little block people...
"Diversity of opinion" but the opinions are "We should use a chainsaw to rescue a cat from a tree" and "We should trap more cats on the tree and then set it on fire"
