Ray Gigant NG+ Epilogue - Transcript (Major Spoilers)

Ok so I know this acc is inac to hell and back but I promised to upload Ray Gigant’s epilogue transcript once I completed it on my Twitter account and this is the best place for it, so here it is! Originally this epilogue is exclusive to NG+, but it’s trickier than the main game and even with god mode activated the fights take a while so nobody’s really played it, so I’m uploading these for the people who want to read the epilogues but aren’t really interested in replaying the whole game for it! I’ll be posting pics I took of the CGs (with the exception of the CG officially released) cause I don’t think my vita could handle screenshots, and I wasn’t able to get one before the text showed up, so apologies on the quality there, but they’re kickass CGs either way so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ichiya: Well, it’s been one year since...

Ichiya: Now that I have a chance, I figured I’d talk...

Ichiya: About the future we won with our hands.

Ichiya: Uh, I guess the simple story is, I’m just gonna let you know what happened afterward.

Ichiya: First, Nil. She said she was gonna go and explore the world, but...

Ichiya: ...as you can see, it looks like exploring the world wasn’t enough.

Ichiya: Right after, Nil started saying that she wanted to go to space, so she sent in her resume to become an astronaut.

Ichiya: And, what do you know, she passed the test with flying colours, and made it in as a final candidate. No, seriously.

Ichiya: Well, that alone is awesome, but this is where things get Nil-freaky...

Ichiya: It’s common sense that astronauts need years of training before actually going out to space, right?

Ichiya: Well, Nil doesn’t have common sense. The moment she heard that, she resigned.

Ichiya: Then she used Ezekiel’s secret stash to join a space tour conducted by a space travel agency.

Ichiya: I dunno where to start with what to say about her...

Ichiya: Note that this travel agency was shady as hell with no pedigree behind it...

Ichiya: As expected, there were system troubles on their return, and they got caught in an accident.

Ichiya: Well, stuff happened and in the end they were safe, which is good, but...

Ichiya: ...we already know she’s super active but I wish she could’ve been a bit more calm.

Ichiya: Huh? Kyle?

Ichiya: Oh yeah, you gotta listen to this! I don’t know what got into his mind...

Ichiya: He somehow landed a part in a movie, which became a huge hit, and all of a sudden, he’s acting like some pompous young rising actor.

Ichiya: I don’t have a clue what’s so good about that sulky face of his, but it looks like he’s super popular now.

Ichiya: That would’ve been fine and well, but he’s such an ass, even on television.

Ichiya: “I was born to be a hero.” Pfft... yeah right.

Ichiya: I can’t believe he’s acting like a poser when all he’s gonna appear in is some lousy instant ramen commercial...

Ichiya: But, I guess it’s just like him to act like that without a concern in the world.

Ichiya: Come to think of it, I saw him on TV about getting some sort of movie actor award, but...

Ichiya: ...from the looks of it, it seems like he’s doing pretty well with Riona.

Ichiya: Damn it... I dunno why, but seeing that pissed me off. What a show-off!

Ichiya: I mean, like Riona’s too good for someone like Kyle.

Ichiya: Uh, but I can’t imagine being able to handle Riona...

Ichiya: Well, that’s about it for everyone.

Ichiya: Me? Well, nothing’s really changed...

Ichiya: Whoops, sorry... I just got an emergency contact from Mana.

Ichiya: Huh?! An accident at the Sky Tower construction site?! I gotta get going!

Ichiya: Looks like we need to get in action again...

Ichiya: I’ll borrow your power again, Habakiri!

Ichiya: Uh, not that I’m trying to act like a hero, but...

Ichiya: It was a major pain just to get the world back in order again, so I want to make sure it stays like that.

Ichiya: No one’s gonna complain about having a few more happy endings, right?

Ichiya: Anyway, off I go!

Ichiya: See ya’ again!

An incomplete list of some of my favourite early Pokemon game glitches

If you end an encounter in a draw, the game will behave as if you lost, but the victory jingle will still play anyways.

You can evolve a Pokemon that requires a stone to evolve without using an item by leveling it up in battle, and then finishing the battle with a Pokemon with a hexadecimal identifier equal to the needed stone.

All items intended to quadruple attack accuracy actually quarter it instead. Whoops.

Some of the hidden items in the Japanese releases of Red and Green just have flat-out incorrect coordinates for the itemfinder’s reference, and if you pick up one out of this set of six miscoded items, the other five become unobtainable.

The aforementioned hidden items can, however, somehow be made obtainable again by moving a fossil item out of your inventory.

You can use the storage system to get yourself a party of only fainted pokemon. This results in the player character blacking out four steps after leaving the PC

If you catch a Pokemon that has used transform, via legitimate moveset, use of metronome, or otherwise, the game will just assume it was a ditto once it’s in your possession.

You can end the encounter with the Ghost Marowak without a Sylph Scope by just throwing a Pokedoll at it.

Catching an ‘M with a Hexadecimal identifier of 00 will leave behind an invisible but otherwise Completely Normal Ditto with its previous moveset at level 0 or 80 that needs to be caught or defeated before the battle can properly end. These games have been out for twenty years and we still don’t know why this happens.

You can buy any of the drinks in the Celadon vending machines as long as you have enough to buy a Fresh Water.

Walking around enough with Pikachu off screen in Yellow can just completely destroy the game for some reason.

If you force a glitch Pokemon with a hexadecimal value of FF into your party, the game will treat it as a hybrid of both Charizard and the cancel button. The game treats this whole scenario about as well as you would expect.

Attempting to use the Mew Encounter exploit with a Pokemon with a special stat of over 250 results in encountering a glitch trainer who causes the game to just flip the absolute fuck out when trying to calculate how much money to award you afterwards. This causes the relevant memory poiner to shoot off to god knows where, and as a result it just sets a solid two hundred unrelated hexadecimal values in the game to 99 in the process, filling your party with level 153 Bulbasaur that can only use explosion.

it unfortunately creates a few inconsistencies within the story though…

7TH DRAGON DIRECTOR WANTS TO REMAKE THE ORIGINAL DS TITLE

Kazuya Ninou, the director of the 7th Dragon series, wants to revisit the first entry in the series for a remake. He would also like to create a new installment in the franchise. Ninou shared these thoughts via his personal Twitter account.

According to Ninou, he already has the idea for a new game completely planned out in his head. He’s hoping sharing this information will spur on some interest from developers/publishers out there.

The 7th Dragon franchise saw four installments, with the first releasing on DS, and the last releasing on 3DS. Sadly, the first game never received a release outside of Japan. The success of the Switch, when paired with the lack of localization for the original game, seems like the perfect reason to greenlight a remake.

Professor Layton’s whole thing is he walks around some town investigating, says “Interesting” a lot, pisses some people off, and then reveals the answer to the mystery he actually solved on the way to the town in a grand fashion, and then everyone forgives him for pissing them off and that’s the end of the game.
