Iโve never been great at introductions, but here goes. My name is Jewel and Iโm a 33 year-old multidisciplinary artist and designer working under the name Geekyloft!
I got my degree in Videogame Art and Animation at 20 years old (from a stupidly expensive private school) and did some contract artwork in Midwest before going back to the local community college to study more traditional studio arts! There I fell in love with clay and ceramics and shifted a majority of my undiagnosed adhd attention/resources to exploring clay and becoming immersed in my local art community.
Earlier this year I found out I have hyper mobility, especially in my hands, so being a production potter is off the table. Honestly being in constant production/sale mode was burning me out mentally and physically so on the bright side this also means that I now have the opportunity, and the skills, to really let myself explore more of the illustrations and fantasy art that Iโve always loved creating!
Iโm still figuring out exactly what route to take things but Iโm excited to share my art, dnd oc and campaign chaos, art resources, and just general vibes along the way!
