Funniest thing about that plague apparel is that none of these items go together. Individually we have:

- Bone Harp of The Underworld. Could probably summon some malevolent spirits with that if you’re a good musician. If you’re not they’re just regular spirits who are really pissed at you specifically. Might also double as a washboard for your clothes because I can’t imagine how you’d strum on bones. - Robin hood feathered hat for when you’re robbing the living. With your harp? Is this a pied piper type of situation? - Beads! That well-known staple of the plague aesthetic - Mad scientist bottles with dirty pond water inside, as a snack. - Situation neutral cape that you shredded yourself with a pair of scissors, but you made it too symmetrical so now it just looks cheap

Hmm! A decision of this magnitude requires study and contemplation. Let’s turn to the authority on the subject…

A Comprehensive Guide To Flight Rising Breeds As (Miniature) Pets

Tundras: Invest in lint-roller stock, learn to live with it. Good hand-warmers in winter. Keeps the lawn trim.

Pearlcatchers: Nacre will happen to your household; accept it. Very social and will definitely gossip about you to neighbourhood pets.

Imperials: Very nice, but you can have only the one. May incur unforeseen theological quandaries.

Spirals: Difficulty setting: high. High energy, able to wriggle into almost anywhere – and then you went and made it small.Fae: They’re already so small! What happens if they get smaller? Are they sea monkeys now??Mirrors: A sugar glider, but with a knife and night vision. Tactical. Like Batman, if he was into sugar gliders. Sugarman.

Bogsneaks: Deceptively low maintenance, until they decide to nest in the toilet.

Snappers: The kind of pet you lasso other pets to to make sure they don’t go anywhere. Reliable. Sturdy. Up at all hours.

Skydancers: Only recommended to the emotionally stable and financially secure. Empathy plus feathers equals stress molting.Nocturnes: The novelty wears off quickly after common household objects come alive for the fiftieth time.

Guardians: Good, loyal. Obsessive. Ideal pet if they manage to adopt the houseplants as a Charge.

Coatls: Needs appropriately sized anvil and a real smelter to truly thrive.

Wildclaws: Like chickens, but if chickens stole eggs instead of laid them. Reverse chickens. NOT LIKE THAT. Keeps pests (and everything else) out of the yard.

Ridgebacks: Not recommended for beginners, who may find themselves blindsided by the unforeseen necessity of having bail money on hand at all times. Great sidekicks that will always betray you in the sequel.

Gaoler: So You Went Ahead and Adopted a Retired Police Dragon. Be prepared to have an alibi at all times, especially if you’re prone to getting home late.

Banescale: These can easily pick up pretty much any song, though they usually settle on one song to sing throughout their lives. Try to avoid exposing your pet to a song you really like (just trust us). WARNING: Any banescale that has heard “Piano Man” one time is technically classified as a weapon of mass destruction.

I am having some real kind of feeling about looking at the site art and realizing how far back pearlcatcher mouths go.

So.

Am I saying pearls can unhinge their jaws? no. … Am I saying they’re terrifyingly close? …. ….. yeah.

tbf, at least in the case of horses and dogs, their mouths/jaws do go back further, its just the lips don’t, or at least don’t naturally.

That’s a horse skull. They have pretty massive mouths.

If you look at dogs panting or baring their teeth you’ll see they actually draw their lips back quite a bit further too. However at rest the edge of their lips are much further forwards, like that beagle.

On-site most dragons, PCs included, have more reptilian mouths where the actual “lips” go very far back, as seen in most reptiles. Personally I draw them however I want, be it very far back like the site art or much further forwards like on a horse or dog. Helps display emotion better.

i am once again reminded of how fucking weird pearlcatchers are, as a species

they’re herbivorous, with a vaguely ungulate-ish body plan. they’ve got those strange… whiskers? and other mammalian features (external ears, hair, mobile lips, boney horn, leathery wings). 

BUT

they also have some kind……… of horrible gular pouch + ungodly jaw hinge for that nasty business where they regularly intake their own calcareous eggshell-based organic pearl and cover it with memory secretions. what the fuck. lightweaver w h y

these things are just….. the weirdest fucking horses you’ve ever seen in your life. but also a magic dragon. ok pearlcatchers ‘we are the most regal and majestic species’ yeah alright sure

flight rising either needs to have consistant naming schemes for their apparel that are intuitive, easy to remember and mention the actual colour instead of making me remember that “ferocious” means green now, or in places like the dressing room and AH there need to be drop down menus with names of clothing sets, sub menus with piece names, etc

either way they need to take mercy on me cause i dont have any short term memory or patience to keep checking back through tabs to see what the damn things are called

i keep discovering entire sets of clothing that i didnt even remember existed as an option
