Heya, it's the Land of Fantasy here.

So, you may be asking: What the hell is Gensokyo?

Gensokyo is a fictional place in Japan where the Touhou Project mainly takes place in. A land of fantasy sealed off from the Outside World, where folkloric or forgotten things reside such as Yokai (Youkai), forgotten items/items that have fallen out of fashion (Modern ones are rarer), and even some extinct animals such as the Yamainu. It is run by 3 Sages, Yukari Yakumo, Okina Matara, and Kasen Ibaraki.

I'm Gensokyo. Technically a country landlocked on all sides by Japan that's been sealed from the outside world since 1885, or 140 Seasons. I've been keeping all the Yokai and other strange things that are either forgotten or not feared in the Outside World anymore so they can keep on living.
