13 year old boys are fine, actually :). since i am a grown adult with critical thinking skills i can recognize that even if one called me ugly 6 years ago, they are not somehow an oppressor class that i can dunk on. they’re children. they just wanna get through middle school lol

actually @staff bc disabled users genuinely need some of the tags it looks like you've started filtering. "Flas/hing" is an essential tag for a lot of people with epilepsy, "C/P/TSD" and "trau/ma" and "suic/ide prevention" and "c/w" are all tags that provide essential resources and filtering options for people with various mental illnesses, "st/im" and "sti/mboard" are tags used almost exclusively by autistic folks celebrating their neurodivergence, and stuff like "pa/in", "bo/dy," and, yes, "gynecolo/gy" are essential tags for folks dealing with chronic illness and physical disabilities

I understand that you're under constraint by Apple to provide a sanitized app experience, and I suspect your ridiculous filtering system is as much from deliberate distaste for said constraints as it is from simple incompetence, but the fact remains that you are fvcking over your substantial disabled userbase with the tags you're choosing, independently of Apple, to disincentivize and block for viewing. we, ur disabled & neurodivergent users, deserve better than to be the discarded casualties in your petty game. none of this nonsense is cool or okay, but surely - surely - you can do better than punching down at the people who have literally nothing to do with your latest snafu and neither the power nor the energy to fight Apple on your behalf.

anyway literally everyone is critical of the media they consume based on their own morals. literally everyone in the entire world besides people who are actively forming their opinions based on said media (like toddlers). whether it's "this part is kinda homophobic and i do not agree with it" or "this part has gay people who i find morally disgusting and detestable". everyone does it and the idea that real people who live among us think there are some people just blindly basing their worldview off every piece of media they enjoy is just insane to me. i love this website so much.

That is absolutely not what bipolar disorder is. Please go read up on it. No one is feeling manic one minute and depressed the next. The cycles can last months to a year at a time and there are extended periods of neutral mood in between.

admittedly I don’t normally like modern shakespeare adaptations but once I went to see my cousin in a midsummer night’s dream and it opened with a high schooler saying “I don’t wanna read this play” so he sits down and eats an entire chipotle burrito on stage and then immediately falls asleep and the play begins but instead of the forest the faeries all hang out in a rainforest cafe TM and at one point in the middle of a scene the guy from the beginning just slowly drifts across the back of the stage on a skateboard, staring at all the characters as the events of the play transpire in the form of some sort of chipotle-induced coma lucid dream

Oh buddy IT’S ABOUT TO BE. I am like, 98% sure this was my high school’s production and I’ve got photos and video clips like craaaazy…

Here are some fun additions… the Mechanicals were also based on the characters of The Breakfast Club (here I am below, eating an actual Captain Crunch and Pixie Stix sandwich on stage.)

…and the one on the longboard was actually our Puck - he rode it through the whole play in the background. Please note his “Forest Cafe” shirt… which we also had logos for on the cups.

…and we had both a flash mob at the end AND an interlude where myself and one of the other Fairies danced to “Sexy and I Know It” while we were cleaning up the tables at the cafe.

I will post more of this later. I have a DVD at my house and will endure cringing at myself to bring you some quality clips… there’s probably one of K eating the burrito before the start of the play, too.
