Guilt
Anyone else every feel guilty for being unmotivated? As in, sometimes I literally lay on the couch thinking of all the things I need to do like wash dishes, fold the laundry, etc and I just for some reason don’t do it. Then I google ways to increase my motivation and again I don’t do it. Then I feel guilty for feeling guilty for not doing something. Like how much more trivial can I get?
No one makes me feel like you do. Anyone know who came up with this?
Faking it
You know the hardest part about customer service is the faking it. You’re expected to smile and be polite and gracious and accommodating but not too accommodating that you’re smothering, but also you have to be funny but not too funny that you’re obnoxious or awkward... it’s just so draining having to try to read people on the spot, trying to gauge what their preference is for personality and tuning yours to fit that. Sometimes I’m literally gritting my teeth as I smile because all I want to do is take a tequila shot and make bad life choices.
Drawing a blank
I just got a new laptop after going about 5 years without one. Of course I’ve always had access to computers, but not one of my own. I used to be really big on blogging, in particular with Xanga. One of the first things I did when I get my laptop up and running was go to check out my old stomping grounds, only to find it completely and utterly dead. I know I haven’t been on it in quite some time, but I felt a little pang of sadness and frustration to see a place that once held such strong community for me gone. Ah well, I guess I’ll make the most out of tumblr.
Sketching
Quick watercolor sketch. Painting in general is frustrating for me, so I try to practice but dont enough.
