Talks between the US and Irani delegation were expected to take place on Sunday, and the Irani lead negotiator was interviewed as saying he felt positively about the possibility of a new deal
Netanyahu bombed Iran and killed that exact negotiator on Friday.
There is heaps of footage of Netanyahu claiming Iraq had WMD/nukes, he was a lead proponent of the war on Iraq.
History is fucking repeating and it is MADDENING. I was at protests against the Iraqi invasion in 2002/2003. We all knew there were no nukes. US and Israel wanted regime change in Iraq anyway so they could install puppets and that's exactly what they're doing in Iran.
People will study this period in history and go, "WHY DID NO ONE STOP NETANYAHU AND ISRAEL IN GAZA, IRAN AND THE WIDER MIDDLE EAST? WHY DID THE MEDIA NOT COMMENT ON THE FACT ISRAEL HAS NUKES AND HASN'T SIGNED A TREATY BUT IS CLAIMING TO BE UPSET ABOUT A FICTIONAL SITUATION WHERE OTHER COUNTRIES ARE APPARENTLY DOING THE SAME?"
My baby sister Soso is not doing well. Until recently she was such a calm and brave child, but now every little thing scares her to death. She barely plays anymore, she cries for food we don’t have and I can’t do anything to change that because of the insane inflation in our area in Gaza.

for those who don't know, the freedom fretilla, a ship headed to gaza to try and get some aid past the israeli siege, just left with among its crew swedish activist greta thunberg, irish actor liam cunningham, and french member of the european parliament rima hassan.
the ship has already been bombed twice during previous attempts at approaching gaza.
my only hope is that if we make enough noise this time, israel won't dare bomb it with such prominent international figures on board, from fear of making them martyrs and turning the rest of the world against them.
so talk about it, post about it, and expect, demand their mission to succeed and their safe return 🙏

If you've ever appreciated my posts about LGBTQ issues, this Pride month, as a favor to me, please do something to help my friend Fadel ( @fadel-dani ).
Fadel is multiply disabled. He has thalassemia, a blood disorder, which leaves him incredibly fatigued. The medication he needs costs €400 every month. He has also been in a very serious accident that left his leg paralyzed for a long time, and now he walks with great difficulty.
Over 550 days ago, Fadel's family home was bombed and he was left with iron shrapnel embedded in his body. The medical infrastructure in Gaza has been decimated and he needs to get to a better-resourced hospital to get them surgically removed safely.
He cannot sleep at night because any movement while asleep causes the shrapnel in his body to move, and causes extremely severe pain. He suffers from PTSD, chronic pain, and insomnia from the bombing.
The people of Gaza, Fadel's family included, are going through a severe famine now. They struggle to afford food, let alone his medication. He urgently needs to raise funds for food, medication, travel costs to get to a hospital who can perform surgery, and ultimately for his family to escape this genocide.
Fadel has spent his very limited energy building relationships with strangers in the hopes that enough of us can help him to raise the money he needs. His campaign is vetted by @gazavetters list (#197), @90-ghost, and @a-shade-of-blue.

i wake up and go to sleep thinking about palestine.
i brush my teeth and i think about palestine. i get dressed and i think about the weather in gaza. i go to class and i think about the islamic university of gaza. i eat my lunch and i think about the starving children of palestine. i go home and i think about the bombed-out apartments, homes, the piles of rubble, the kitchens occupied by colonizers. i lay down and i think about the hungry, weak, and weary sleeping in tents. i go to sleep and when i dream it’s nightmares about dead children, amputated limbs, starved infants, the gaunt faces of the deathly ill, graveyards upon graveyards upon graveyards. and then i wake up and i do it all over again the next day.
the circular nature of my thought process and my pain is nothing compared to the lived reality of people in gaza. my friend ibrahim is one of those people. he is only 16 and is trying to provide for his diabetic mother, his father with cancer, and his extended family. recently he bore witness to his neighbors being martyred en masse. he is hungry, tired, hurt, and desperate.
i know we’ve asked you for a lot of help. you’ve all been so kind in giving it. and as tired you are of this war, as tired i am of it, ibrahim is far, far, far more tired than we could comprehend.
