derek begrudgingly catches feelings for stiles somewhere along the way. stiles started flirting with him to piss him off but at some point it became real. little bit of a slow burn (knowing me, it would end up over 100k). but stiles, being human and not believing in the supernatural, is trying to psych (!) himself up to tell derek that’s he’s not an actual psychic before they take things seriously between them. right before he gets the chance, there’s a werewolf reveal for some reason outside of derek’s hands (saving stiles or a storyline bad guy has like a wolfsbane bullet or smthn).

… is the vision there? or is this a brain worm i should try to kill?

I love frank langdon so much and always have because he's such a skillfully written and acted addict.

If you hated Langdon season 1 and find yourself endeared to him now, it's because active addiction makes people dicks, especially when they have dickish tendencies to begin with. But recovery requires you to engage with yourself, it requires vulnerability and insight and people you didn't like in addictive addiction are often lovely in recovery.

Being able to laugh at yourself and how frustrating and stupid addiction is goes a long way in humanizing yourself to others but also yourself.

Anyway, I love Frank Langdon and I'm so pleased with what we've gotten so far in season 2.

Langdon is CONSTANTLY asking “am i doing good?” and she’s always honest which is exactly what he needs. he doesn’t want platitudes or blanket praise, he wants direction. with him trying to get back into everyone’s good graces and all the things they aren’t saying, his time with mel is a safe haven of transparency. it’s simple with her, she says jump and he asks how high. he just wants to do good. even before his addiction and subsequent rehab stint, he’s always had this need. it certainly helps that he’s kind of a little bit maybe obsessed with her.

Mel is used to working long and hard for what she wants even if it doesn’t end up the way she’d dreamed so it’s novel to her when frank just… does what she says. she’d never ask something of him that he couldn’t handle or wouldn’t enjoy. she’s not sadistic, just bossy. she’d thought that, with her constant caregiving, frank’s eagerness for direction would be too much. no, it’s a breath of fresh air. he doesn’t need her, he just wants her. it’s not life or death, it’s simply pleasure. she also gets a bit of a power high when he gets that blissed out look on his face. she likes the withholding the most, though. she likes knowing that he wants her so bad that he’ll beg. sue a girl for wanting a little confidence boost (but don’t actually bc she does not like getting sued).
