do actors get boners while making sex scenes this is one of the things i’ve wondered my whole life
Idk if you actually care for the answer, but they have to put their dicks in little sleeves that attach to the leg so if they get a boner it just get held down.
that sounds like a garment that should be sold everywhere and considered polite if not mandatory to wear, like bras
Omg I can’t
As a guy I second this.
If I have to wear a titty sling because there might be an event where it becomes chilly and my nip noops become visible through my shirt, people who have a peenor should be expected to wear a peenor sling in case there is an event where a gentle breeze occurs and their peenor becomes erect.
I kind of feel like if we’re gonna do that we should go all-out and they should be IMPOSSIBLE to size, VERY expensive, flimsy, and made of uncomfortable, itchy materials.
And the little ones should have cute designs but the big ones only come in white, black, and tan
and there should be a company that sells them called Victor’s Secret, that has uncomfortably large, close-up photos of enormously-endowed male “angels” stuffed into their gorgeous little pouches spread all over every mall and TV channel, which changes societal expectations on penis size as a whole, so that men who don’t have incredibly large penises feel impossibly inadequate and feel compelled to make up for it by spending a fortune on overpriced penis pouches as a way of compensating.
Then Victor’s Secret should be sure not to actually carry any of these garments in the sizes that they advertise, so that only modestly-endowed men have the privilege of being seen in the shop, which is the type of place that simultaneously clamors for huge dicks, but refuses to cater to them in any way, leaving everyone involved vaguely uncomfortable and slightly ashamed.
This is legit one of the best posts I’ve ever found on tumblr.

Exactly.
All of this. Amazing.
To the lady whose dog attacked mine this morning;
I know you’ll probably never read this, but writing to you is somewhat therapeutic for me so I’m going to go ahead.
We (my partner, our dog and I) were having a great morning this morning. And because I have educated myself about how to handle aggressive dogs and break up dog fights, we will continue to have a good life together. I am sad to say though that if I had been less educated and my dog not as well trained, that might not be the outcome.
I am trying really hard not to be angry; on some level, a dog has a mind of their own, and who knows, maybe this is the first aggressive incident your dog has ever had. My dog certainly isn’t perfect either: she ate my shoe just last night. Many people would label her “aggressive” or “mean” or “frightening” simply because she was “flawed” at birth: her mom or dad was an American Pit Bull. We rescued her, and never looked back. Those descriptors are just the opposite of our Maggie: despite her "aggressive" heritage, she is the sweetest, gentlest (although clumsy sometimes about sitting in my lap), most playful, loving dog you could ever hope to have. There is not a mean bone in her body.
But I digress.
When your dog growled and showed teeth to my dog, challenging her, putting himself (or herself?) between my dog and I, that was a sign for me (and apparently you were unaware… Too busy with whatever else was on your mind to be paying attention, maybe?). I saw my dog’s posture change… She tucked her tail and ears, and looked at me, then back at your dog. Still no response from you. I stepped away, and called my dog to my side. She tried to come to me, but your dog would not let her pass.
Because I have built a relatively large vocabulary to communicate with my dog, my response was “come on Mags, it’s ok, come here.” She tried again. I would venture to say that when Maggie’s hackles raised, she growled to warn your dog, but I couldn’t hear because of the wind.
Somewhere around here, you started calling your dog in a casual way. Then more aggressively as your dog was non-responsive.
I gave Maggie another “it’s ok” and a nod, “come on, mamma.” She trotted out around your dog, and approached me (so proud!). Your dog, however, continued to follow us. I brought maggie away a few more steps, and stopped… I could still hear you calling and not getting any closer.
Your dog approached us again, hackles raised and growling. I retreated a few more steps and put my Maggie into a sit-stay by my side.
At this point, your dog again tried to get between Maggie and I. That was kind of the beginning of the end. Maggie is, to her credit, highly protective of her family. When it’s playtime and a dog gets around us, her tail wags and she boops the other dog on the head and they go off and play. This was not playful. She warned your dog with another low growl, and I think that’s where your dog lost it. She (he?) fully lunged at Maggie at this point.
I handled my dog. I pulled her away by her rear hips, got a hold of her collar and put myself between your dog and mine. Your dog continued to lunge at me and Maggie. I turned us, twisted us, deflected your dog, until you managed to run the 40 yards or so you had allowed to stretch out between you and your dog. Even then, though, you didn’t know how to manage the situation. You were afraid of your own dog, didn’t know how to remove it from the situation and control it.
I want you to see the story in intimate detail: that is how I remember incidents like this, car accidents, etc.. I also want to stress to you that unlike the statement you made, that they were “both going after each other,” your dog completely instigated the situation. And I need you to see that dogs do have their own minds and therefore require an enormous amount of consistency and training to be good, trustworthy, reliable dogs.
I hope to god that you take this incident as motivation to do better by your dog: well trained obedient dogs are happy, safe dogs. And they deserve that effort from us. If I didn’t make that effort with Maggie, she wouldn’t be able to chase squirrels to her heart’s content off the leash at our favorite parks. And that would make her a much less happy puppy.
You, your dog and everyone around you deserve for you to learn to be a better dog parent. Please do. Oh, and please stop blaming other people for your failings. It just makes us more frustrated. If you had just apologized and handled your shit like an adult, I wouldn't have been mad at all. Dogs will be dogs. We just have to do our parts to help them be the best dogs they can be.

Why is it that pedestrians like to proceed out into the street in front of me on my bike like I don’t exist?
This morning, I was hauling ass with traffic , and because of the way the lights changed I had gotten a little out in front of the rest of the cars approaching the next intersection where...
Yep. Don't even get me started on the cars.

My heart
These two fur babies…. Are my heart.
I don’t mean to just post a sentimental photoset though. It comes with a message today, with a heavy heart.
I am still lucky enough to come home to both of our babies. Two of our dear friends, however, woke up for the first time in their house this morning without their fur baby. They lost their handsome (big) baby in a tragic accident yesterday morning.
A little too far. A driver not paying attention. Instant devastation.
Questions. Regrets. Fear. Anger.
I can’t imagine what they must be going through. It was hard enough to say goodbye to my first dog when she was too old to go on. I can’t wrap my head around losing one of my current babies so suddenly.
So here I sit trying to make sense of it all. And I decided to be productive about all those feelings.
First thing I did was fix that lazy leaning-over-loose fencepost that had worried me for months. Made a sign to make sure my gate stays closed all the time when the neighbors go in and out.
And now I am begging you all…
BEGGING YOU
PLEASE
If you are a pet owner, to do a few things to keep your pets safe.
Training. If your pet is a dog, make sure they are well trained, obedient, listen. If you aren’t having success on your own, hire someone. It’s worth it.
Education. Educate yourself and the people around your home about dog safety. Particularly those kids across the street that like to call your dog. Before you get a dog, educate yourself about their breed so that you know what to expect and what the best ways to handle it are.
Emergencies. Get a tag for that collar! List two phone numbers. And a microchip. And a sticker for your door from the fire department. And register your dog with your town.
Awareness. Be aware of your surroundings, always. Get off the phone. Stop texting. Turn off the music. If your dog is off leash, train them to stay close… Particularly if you are in a densely populated area or an area with a nearby road. Train them to stop at street corners. Every time. You would never let your child walk into the street without looking, why should the standard be any less for your dog?
The best things you can do to protect your pets are simple and relatively inexpensive. Downright cheap if you weigh them against what the possible alternative is.

Rest in peace, buddy. You were well loved.
This comes from my personal blog. Please, please reblog and spread the word. Awareness is power.

SPRING IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you live in New England like we do (specifically, the south shore of Massachusetts) you are probably having a hard time believing it. But, even today, one of the colder days in recent weeks, it is still 50 degrees (give or take) warmer than the coldest it's been around here this year. So, it's all relative, and I'm trying really hard to keep a positive attitude. That said, again, spring is (at least theoretically) here!
I thought that this would be a good time to introduce you to our favorite place to have a romp with Maggie :)
Welcome to Bare Cove in Hingham, MA.
Bare cove is 480(ish) acres of land along Back River. It started out as privately owned land, was purchased by the Navy, and eventually divvied up and given to the town of Hingham. It is now maintained by the town as an animal sanctuary and recreation area.
It is not, to our infinite pleasure, not owned by the DCR.
Not that I really have anything against the Massachusetts DCR, but, like any other state-regulated program, it isn't particularly well organized, managed, or maintained. Any DCR properties also require leashes.
We love Bare Cove for all of those reasons; it is clean, there are trashcans all over the park, the paths are paved and/or well maintained, has thorough maps, is policed by not only park rangers but animal control, and does not require leashes. And as an added bonus, it is plowed (very well!) in the winter.
There are some regulations: no glass containers, carry in/carry out, no motor vehicles, no weapons or hunting of any kind. And overall, they are pretty well followed.
The leash rules are vague: either leash or control your dog. So, if your dog is good with other dogs and listens to you, please feel free to bring them and let them run off leash.
I would love to highlight our favorite loop for you... but we don't really have one. There is such a huge amount of space that we are constantly finding new paths, trails, open spaces... it's kind of like Disney World for dogs... every time you go, you find another reason to go back.
Go explore it! If you run into Lily, Lulu, or Will, tell them Maggie sent you! Do please, please, follow the rules and control your pup while you are there - there would be a lot of sad puppies if one bad guy ruined it all for us. If you have any thoughts or anything, please let me know in the Ask, comments, or with a personal message. I'd love to hear from you!
Love in the Outdoors,
Clutch, Frenchie and Maggie
P.S.: I don't know how well that image of the map will print, so here's a link to the Bare Cove printable map via the Town of Hingham.
