imo people try to pinpoint the issue with girlboss/malewife a lot but just end up reinforcing it by taking the stance that it is inherently pathetic or embarrassing for a man to submit to a woman or take on a more stereotypically feminine role in a relationship than her. and i think that sucks because the biggest issue with girlboss/malewife is that rather than framing it as a relationship between two people where the expected gender roles are reversed it's treated as humiliating for the man involved and therefore the woman is treated as being an object of humiliation for the man ("can you believe he submits to a WOMAN? how pathetic!") rather than a whole person with her own wants and needs. it's misogyny innit.
i found this manga called Club 9 at a used book store and i can’t get over it i’m gonna dream about it i swear to god
