Maybe don’t assume a binary presentation for a nonbinary character at all! Maybe, the solution to “people assume masculinity for nonbinary characters a lot” is not “lets assume femininity instead.” maybe the solution is actually to stop assuming a nonbinary character has to present one out of two ways. its in the word. non-binary.
