I know that when people say “now that byler isn’t canon Finn has a lot of explaining to do” and “if byler isn’t canon then Finn was just gay for Noah” most likely are just joking but I’m tired of those jokes. Because c’mon, Finn wasn’t just having fun doing whatever the hell he wanted, he was an actor and he was acting and it was his job and even if a lot of the things we caught Mike do was his own acting choices let’s not forget that all the other people onstage INCLUDING THE DUFFERS were right there watching him and telling him how to act and taking multiple shots AND APPARENTLY APPROVING HIS WORK because filming movies isn’t just fun and giggles it is a job and an industry and people study in universities for that and no way would they leave a lip glance which is SO OBVIOUSLY A ROMANTIC DETAIL (you can google it)—not to mention that there was quite a lot of them and also not to mention other stuff like Mike licking his lips near Will or the triple take in the desert in s4 and so much more—no way they would leave a shot like that IN THE FINAL MONTAGE if it wasn’t for their fucking planning.

I didn’t want to say it, because I DO think that it can be very misogynistic and homophobic for people (especially men) to automatically accuse women of fetishization for being interested in a gay ship. They hate fandom because it’s a predominantly female hobby, and they see queer relationships as inherently sexual.

HOWEVER, it’s only misogynistic if it’s untrue. And lately it’s been feeling like straight women have been abusing that very same “misogyny” argument to get away with fetishizing gay men.

I feel like a lot of people have had bad experiences with an unrequited crush and project their own feelings onto Will. Will does not think that Mike is evil. Will would never need to “escape” or take a break from Mike. Will would never resent Mike or hurt him out of spite. There IS no spite. They’re best friends.

There was no big fight between them. Mike has never hurt Will on purpose and Will knows that. I’m sorry that someone hurt you, but you are NOT Will. Your toxic crush was NOT Mike. That’s some weird, made up agenda that you’re pushing.

Will adores him. He’s not some incel that insults his crush the second his feelings aren’t returned because he feels entitled to Mike’s love. He respects Mike as a friend first and foremost.
