Hi, I don't know if you are still replying currently, but I want to try anyway.
I just read your Harry Potter AU YOI fic and I loved it. I knew I shouldn't read it because it clearly warned me that it was unfinished, but I couldn't resist and I don't regret reading it either.
I know you most likely won't pick it up again, but I was really left guessing.
So would it be possible for you to at least answer me with a summary of what was going to happen next? I'm not asking for a full chapter, just summaries of the situations you had in mind and the possible ending you had in mind.
I'm just asking for that to be calm hahaha, but if it bothers you I'm sorry, thanks for not deleting the fic anyway :)
Hi, just saw this! So glad you liked the fic and read it even if it’s incomplete and abandoned :) I went through my old files to look for what I had left of it.
I’m putting under a read more snippets from what would have been chapter 3 and how it would have gone!
Chap 3: "As the witch-hunts grew ever fiercer, wizarding families began to live double lives, using charms of concealment to protect themselves and their families. By the seventeenth century, any witch or wizard who chose to fraternise with Muggles became suspect, even an outcast in his or her own community."

[Yuuri goes to the doctor without telling Viktor]
"Are you on any medication?"
Yuuri swallowed. His throat was dry.
"I disagree, it's unprecedented. A brain scan would be proper."
No masses or lesions, but abnormal level of activity in memory center."

There’s someone in his house.
“There’s someone in my house,” Yuuri whispers, his voice shaking.
“I can hear them, Phichit, they’re going through my things!”
“Don’t move!” Yuuri yells, holding out the lamp.
“It’s me!” The stranger yells back, holding out his hands, the definition of nonthreatening. “It’s me, Viktor!”
Yuuri gapes. His grip loosens on the lamp—why had he grabbed the lamp?—and he stares.
“Viktor?” He echoes, voice coming out oddly vulnerable, the name strangely familiar on his lips. The stranger’s face slackens in relief, and he smiles.
“Yuuri,” he says, voice soft, and Yuuri doesn’t know if it’s the way he practically coos it, or the relief tinged with affection and love, but—
“Viktor,” Yuuri repeats, stunned, and this time he knows. He drops the lamp and it hits the carpet with a thud. His boyfrienderases the few feet distance in between them and wraps him up in a tight hug, the scent of him filling Yuuri’s nose.
Numb, Yuuri’s arms raise to tentatively touch the soft cloth of the back of Viktor’s shirt.

Viktor brings Yuuri to a Healer, the Healer is a friend and like tffff. Doesn’t even want to talk to viktor bcos he's the type to interact w muggles and shit. they pretend they're not magic.
Abnormal amount of build up of magic in memory part of brain.
Viktor's desperate and asks what he can do. Can't keep obliviating Yuuri, have to settle on something else. Hopefully the magic build up will go away.
"Did you know, there used to be this Muggleborn witch," Healer Rowan started abruptly. Viktor frowned at her, unsure of where she was going with this. "She had a brother who was sick, and at that time, she was training to be a Healer too. Do you know what she did?"
"No," Viktor replied uncertainly. He didn't know who she was speaking of. How would he know what she had done?
"She used a potion on him to get rid of his illness," Healer Rowan shared. Viktor furrowed his eyebrows.
"So he was healed?" He asked uncertainly, and Healer Rowan's face turned somber.
"No, he died."
"What?"
Healer Rowan sighed and rearranged the papers on her lap, a flick of her wand sending them flying into the cabinet as they sorted themselves
"Wizards and witches are born with magic inside of them. The potions and the spells we use work with it, or against it. Using a potion on a Muggle, on someone without magic… It's poison to them. Their bodies can't handle the sort of ingredients that we use."
Viktor's mouth dried, his face paling. He clenched his fists. "And Yuuri?"
Healer Rowan gave him a sad, sort of sympathetic look. "It's the same way with spells. Magic isn't meant to be continually done on them. Muggle wards and anti-Muggle spells work on houses or areas without having to directly affect those without magic. But your magic has built up in his brain, and his brain isn't meant to store all that magic."
"I never meant for this to happen," Viktor whispered, his voice pained. Hurting Yuuri was never anything he wanted to do. He loved Yuuri with everything.
"That Muggleborn witch I was talking about… She had the best intentions as well. It doesn't matter now what you did or did not mean to do," Healer Rowan said sternly. Viktor swallowed and nodded, closing his eyes.
"What matters now is what you do next."
"There's only one way to bypass the statute of secrecy with a Muggle."

[viktor and yuuri talk about getting married]
"It's not legal, it won't be recognized by the Ministry."
“But why does it need to be valid in Russia?”
Viktor’s eyebrows scrunch up, a look of confusion on his face before it abruptly passes and his expression clears. “Yes, Russia.” He pauses. “I’d want my family and friends to attend and see how much I love you.”

[Yuri comes by for a visit again, brings Otabek (a Muggleborn this time)]
"You may not be a pureblood supremacist, but you're almost as bad."
Otabek confronts Viktor and calls him out. "You think you're accepting of Muggles, but you're not. You still think that you're so above them, that you can just manipulate your boyfriend's memory as if it was nothing, as if it wasn't a breach of trust."
"Do you care about the laws that much? No one will even know if you just tell him!"
"What's stopping you, honestly?"
The kind of prejudice/supremacist thinking that's insidious. Subtle, u don't think much of it in comparison, but still very much harmful. The kind of ppl like "she's a great worker, not all women are like that." or "he's a good kind of black man", where there are Exceptions, when there shouldn't be a rule.
"This isn't fair to him. The next time you obliviate him--just erase your entire existence from him and leave him. Never see him again and don't put him through this shit. He's better without you."

-viktor tries not to use magic around yuuri, but it's such an intrinstic part of him that he eventually slips out. he considers for a brief moment doing what yuri suggested, just obliviating his entire existence from yuuri's memory, but he tells yuuri the truth finally (but not about how his memory problems are related to the magic.)
he keeps waiting and watching for yuuri to slip up and break his confidence and tell other people, but yuri's like ?? why are you so suspicious of him?? why can't you trust him?
viktor admits he's afraid. persecution + witch hunts, history of muggles viewing witches and wizards negatively, but he decides to love yuuri without fear and wholeheartedly
slowly, he learns to trust yuuri.
memory problems don’t fully resolve but yuuri makes new memories
