(1/2) I'm sorry to be annoying in your ask box but ONE MORE THING (spoilers) How did people play through Ellie saving Abby and Lev then challenging Abby to a fight in the water in the fog (which wow, the fucking atmosphere in that scene) then watch Ellie try SO HARD to kill drown her and sob and yell at Abby to leave because she's just tired. She's so tired. She "never wanted anyone to die" we're talking about a KID. God she could only be 20 when this happens and she's so full of rage and trauma

(2/2) and then we go back to the farmhouse and see a physical manifestation of what this has done to her in how she can't even play the guitar anymore. She can't do that one physical thing that still made her feel close to Joel because she let the hate consume her (Neil Druckmann said forever ago this was a game about HATE). And we learn her last conversation with Joel was all about how she didn't want to hate anymore. She wanted to forgive. She wanted forgiveness the entire. fucking. time.
