sometimes, people don’t understand that we are hated for being autistic. “But I don’t hate autistic people!”.
That’s right! Because you don’t know how autistic people are.
You know, people never bullied me for being autistic. Because neither me nor they had the terminology. Nah, they punished me for being weird. And what made me weird to their eyes? I spoke weird and often stumbled, and I spoke like a grownup anyway, and I wouldn’t shut up about Ancient Greece. I moved weird too, because I was (am) really clumsy, and I didn’t have any friends. I was boring and didn’t catch jokes (made at my expense) and I didn’t look them in the eye, and so on and on.
If you asked any of the people who bullied me for years whether they hate autistic people, they’d say “no!”. Because they don’t hate autistic people, but oh boy do they hate weird people. Perhaps they don’t hate autistic people, but surely they hated me for being obviously autistic.
I’ve been trying to explain this concept to a lot of people. You did a really good job summing it up.
I really like how the scientology speedrunning trend is developing, in this clip we see that the participants are
Not deterred by the closed door
Working as a group
Protecting their identities
Inflicting material costs to the institution via property destruction
Getting away at the end
These ideas were not all here from the beginning. They are genuinely gaining experience that can be applied elsewhere
The church of scientology is on tumblr and they are sending me anon asks telling me that they can't even commit to reporting a post
where is my favorite painting i need to find my favorite painting

I don’t think we’re rick rolling each other enough anymore. 1. it CANNOT die out 2. this under saturated market is perfect for unsuspecting victims who’ve been lulled into a false sense of security. be the person you hate. bring back the dastardly link
someone actually studied the falling Rick Roll rate for their Ph.D dissertation recently and published the paper
okay but this made me wonder if there was actually any academic literature on rickrolling and YES THERE IS this is a paper about rickrolling WITHIN academic literature. As in, studies that attempt to rickroll the people reading them. Best part is no one is going to believe me and click that link even though it’s 100% true.
My friend's book is mentioned in this paper!!
There is no earthy way of convincing anyone that the rickroll study link is real. But for what it's worth. It is
I clicked it fully persuaded it wouldn't be real. It is. I feel reverse rickrolled whatever my convictions are dead now
Oh, it's a real article, they're not kidding.
I need the 2 people who are going to see this to know that I am about to mail my friend a Rick roll :)
Dr. Melissa King + Dr. Trinity Santos in
THE PITT S2
just a reminder that it's fuck ICE forever
i wish everyone following me made enough money to not feel like they were being boiled alive and had the time and energy to clean their room at their own leisure
Feeling the room cleaning so much
Seeing Santos’ self harm scars brought up some feelings I do not want to be feeling and instead of going to therapy, I am posting on Tumblr like a normal person
please lord, take all of Perlah’s pain and discomfort and give it to Ogilvie. please lord, take all of Princess’s pain and discomfort and give it to Ogilvie. please lord, take all of Dana’s pain and discomfort and give it to Ogilvie. please lord, take all of Donnie’s pain and discomfort and give it to Ogilvie. please lord, take all of Emma’s pain and discomfort and give it to Ogilvie.
idk if i've told this story here but cis people knowing literally nothing about transitioning is insane. one time i was talking to my friend, she's a total sweetheart and i am not talking shit about her but she legitimately didn't know that estrogen did ANYTHING to change your body. she was shocked when i told her it literally changes your physiology. she didn't know about the fat redistribution or anything.
i was like "girl? I have boobs?" and she goes "oh well i don't wanna be offensive but i just thought you used to be fat and it just happened to work out well?" LIKE?????????????????????????? and then i realized 99.999999% of people are the same way, allies and bigots alike. nobody is working to understand, they're just taking stances
FALL OFF??
I have had many conversations with my boss about what testosterone has done to me. I only met him mid last year and I’ve been on T for 4 years this year, so when I showed him a video of me pre-at he was so confused. People are weird
I love how Robby says "we're a safety net, and nets have holes" but then the entire episode is a love letter to nurses and how they keep patients from falling through the cracks. Dana immediately goes and interferes to make sure that Gus is admitted to the hospital. Perlah has the most emotional response to Louie's death, and it's the nurses who are all mourning his loss together. When Roxie is struggling with her bedpan and humiliated, Princess kindly reminds her that that's what she's here for. Dana and Emma take care of Louie's body and Dana tells Emma's that it's the last thing they can do for patients. When Joy asks Robby how Kim "already knows all that" he responds that "she just does" because she's an experienced nurse who knows what she's doing. They can't get an ASL translator so Princess tries her best with her less than perfect ASL just so a patient can know they haven't forgotten her. Donnie is taking time to teach the med students how to suture because he's better at it than the guy who's been a doctor for a week. Jesse immediately goes and gets Gus a drink because he's starving and holds the drink and straw for him. Princess comforts and holds the panicked sister of a patient as she worries about "what's wrong with him". And then, at the end, Emma holds Louie's hand because there's no one else there to hold it
I'm often really dedicated to the visual quality and authenticity of the memes I make, but like idk if I could ever make another human being care about that. I used the proper font and color picked the correct color and sized everything correctly and used the alignment tool to get the spacing right and redrew the nebula background and spent way too long messing with the drop shadow settings to mimic the original text. Skyrim media literacy 0 skill meme. If you care.
Your commitment to craftsmanship is appreciated. Years ago I spent way too long on this stupid meme to get the pull lines in the dark green and the fading of the lime color just right.
i am still stupidly proud of this lmao
I’m so glad we’re finally learning more about the nurses and seeing what they’re doing more.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the docs, but it’s nice to hear more about the nurses themselves and not just seeing the struggles of the doctors.
sharing seasons & episodes of "she-ra and the princesses of power" for download on google drive so that you don't have to give money to netflix (which you should stop doing anyway, really): s1 / s2 / s3 / s4 / s5 / intros

as with most pirates, it is asked for your own (and others') benefit that you save this media on a physical device; i.e. hard drives, DVDs, SD cards, etc. this way, it's yours forever and cannot be taken from you by a greedy streaming service.
EDIT SEPTEMBER (READ): please be warned that the first episode of season one is ~6GB compared to just a few hundred MB, probably related to the frame width being 3840x2160 instead of 1920x1080 like the rest. this may be a concern for some individuals due to storage space. i can confirm it is not malware as i have had it saved since the start of the year without affecting anything. if you need or prefer to find a smaller file size, i recommend skipping that one in the gdrive when going through it and torrenting just the single. ↓
EDIT OCTOBER (UPDATE): @grahminradarin has changed the file size of ep1 down to 800MB! here is the mega link for download. i can’t tell what the frame dimensions are but the quality appears to be the same.
in the meantime while my other blog is currently suspended and/or terminated indefinitely, i'll go ahead and add a google drive link i found that is a full collection of OST soundtracks (.mp3) from all five seasons of the show! it was ripped & reuploaded by waterwitch, who also made a playlist on youtube (.mp4) that you could download instead!
She Ra (2018) is leaving Netflix on February 21st, 2026
This is due to a licensing agreement between Dreamworks and Netflix expiring.
Showing how casual ableism can be by having one of the most easy-going and warm nurses ignore his patient and have a hard time addressing her even when he gets called out is a great choice I think. It tells us that we need to look out for these behaviors and pay attention to how we interact with those around as, and to listen to what they're telling us, because even if no harm is intended harm can be done. It's already hard to get the system to listen to you, if those that are supposed to take care of you won't even look? Yikes.
What got to me was he wasn’t talking to her, he was talking about her with the interpreter. Using an interpreter isn’t a ‘ask her this’ situation you speak normally to the person and the interpreter says what they’re saying it’s a direct conversation where you’re not talking to the interpreter unless they’re asking you to slow down or repeat something.
Talk to your patient.
Looking at people doesn’t come naturally to me (autistic) and it’s easier for me to stare off into space, which I’ve had to discuss with deaf clients as well as telling them my body language is abnormal so please don’t read into it.
So I can’t say I’d have done better, though I wouldn’t have been looking at the interpreter either. But like how is it not intuitive to talk to the person you’re having the conversation with instead of talking about them in front of them as though the interpreter is informing you about them instead of facilitating them speaking to you.
Like I don’t get the whole ‘look at me when you’re talking to me’ because I don’t like being looked at. I don’t care if someone is looking at me. But to have someone not talk to you and talk about you instead, that’s so disrespectful.
Whitaker is going to make it the whole season/ day without needing to change scrubs and then in the last episode/ hour he's going to get absolutely drenched in some godawful substance and they're going to make him use the outdoor shower like to charge reblog to cast
Whitaker ending the last episodes looking like the end of Iron Lung
