I realised the best thing about the Rafa documentary isn't just about seeing the behind the scenes footage, it's a 4 episode long tennis nostalgia for the golden age of tennis.

The early 2000s tennis in all its intensity, physicality, rawness, and glory. It's all a bit crude, a whole lot less unpolished, no VAR nor fancy tech. Where Davis Cup still feels like the world cup and 5 set matches are regularly played in blinding heat.

It's a chance to remember the tennis we grew up with.

And boy have I missed it.
