you need one of the og trevor/jamie warriors to go deep on this because i don't know all the details. but at one point jamie and trevor went to stagecoach together and were running around pretending to be college students (i think?) and they both got involved with girls and then trevor told the influencer girlie he was making out with that he could fill her lip fillers. what a time. men used to build things!!!!!!!

sorry i'm catching up and can't resist a chance to share stagecoach lore. for context they went together twice (2022 and 2023) and Trevor went in 2024 and 2025 as well.

2022 Stagecoach

Jamie and Trevor went with Trevor's then college situationship (Emma Macdonald, now married to a Celtics player) and Paige Lorenze (yes that Paige). Paige posted (then quickly deleted) Emma and Trevor together and somehow all the vlog footage got "lost"

Jamie was only confirmed in attendance based on a birthday post for Josh Mahura a few days later (Trevor posted, his only post from the event)

For fun additional context, Emma and Paige were in the Hamptons for the 4th this year and based on context clues, Emma and Trevor totally ended it for good that weekend

2023 Stagecoach

Jamie and Trevor (along with Cam York) attended Stagecoach this year and during this adventure, met Kelsey and Brynn (of Out of Line Podcast Fame) who did not know who tzjd were at time of meeting, because Trevor allegedly “mislead girls that they "playing hockey" meant they were like beer leaguers who worked in retail for their actual income” + “they said they dropped out of college to play hockey so maybe it was Trevor leading the conversation & speaking for both of them

Fun fact: TZ left Brynn on read once she learned who he was but Jamie and Kelsey had a ~9 month long fling

Trevor unfollowed them both ASAP and it took Jamie ~2 years to unfollow them

Brynn did shade Trevor about the lip filler complaint (source: out of line the infamous oregon trip (boy update) 08/11/2023)

While Cam York made the only official Insta post of the weekend, it is unclear where he was during the Brynn/Kelsey saga

Trevor, guy known for big relationship moves over the 4th of July, was first officially papped with Dixie Damelio this year over the 4th (at a CT aquarium)

Jamie, recently traded with only a mattress to his name, flew Kelsey out to Philly right before Valentines day who posted about it TWICE (x)

Denver: Yeah, I think Trevor obviously would be probably the first guy, just for going out of his way to take me into his house. And he's been great with everything, kind of teaching me the way.

Alex: I'd say Zegras the most. Obviously TK is - he's been talking to me too, but Z's really been trying to help me out.

Porter: We pretty much just spent most of our time over at Ziggy's place. I think I was there every single day of the year when I came. Me, Barks, and Bumper are kind of crashing there right now. So yeah, he's another awesome guy, kind of took me under his wing, teaching me the ins and outs about the league.

Hi!!! New Flyers fan and I was wondering about Jamie Drysdale and Trevor Zegras, did they play together in a team before the Flyers? I heard the "traded to a new team to be back with his boyfriend" but I don't have much lore.

Excited about the game tonight!

Oh boy. Oh BOY. How much time do you have?

Going to do my best to give a bit of an intro response, but this is one of my favorite things to yap about. Like, I recently presented an overview of their crazy Orange String of Fate situation for a friend’s powerpoint party and that barely fit within a 15-minute time limit, so.

tl;dr: YES. Jamie and Trevor were both originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks. They actually competed against each other at World Juniors on team Canada and team USA, respectively, and were then flown to SoCal almost immediately with the other prospects after the gold medal game (which the US team won). Trevor kind of annoyed/charmed his way into being Jamie’s friend once they got there in spite of the rocky start lmao.

They got called up from the San Diego Gulls about a month apart, and the two of them ended up scoring their first NHL goals back to back within 3 minutes of each other. By the end of the 21-22 season, they had moved into a house together. Key features For the Lore include fanart of them celebrating their first goals together and a rooftop where they frequently sat together to watch the sunset. In September of 2022, they started a truly load-bearing shared Spotify playlist called Rooftop.

But then: On January 8, 2024, the Ducks have flown into Nashville for a game the next day. While out with teammates, Jamie Drysdale gets a call informing him that he’s been traded to the Philadelphia Flyers (there is a whole subplot here about Cutter Gauthier that is important to Flyers lore but not tzjd lore so don’t worry about it). He gets on a plane at 5am that morning and leaves the Ducks forever. Trevor of course has to stay in Nashville and play the game against the Preds without him…Within the first 6 minutes of that game, Trevor breaks his ankle and the injury keeps him out for 31 games. (Fun fact: because of various injuries, Jamie and Trevor never end up playing a game against each other! Though Trevor does visit during a Flyers/Ducks game that season.)

Luckily, as you know, this is not the end of their story! Cursed gay elder Flyers GM Danny Briere (there’s a lot of lore here too) had another trick up his sleeve. A year and a half later, on June 23, 2025, it’s announced that Trevor Zegras is being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. The media is understandably very excited about this reunion (one notable announcement tweet re-prints the infamous “we pee together, we get injured together, we sleep together” quote). And Trevor? Two days later, on June 25, 2025, he announces his trade by posting an IG story with nothing but a previously unseen photo of him and Jamie cuddled up in a gondola in Aspen.

And now they are Philadelphia Flyers, together! Playing in the playoffs, together! It’s beautiful and I could talk about it forever, but there’s my attempt at a summary weeeeeeee

But also: I am a Philly fan who only fully adopted these men in 2025 because I simply did not care about the Ducks. So there are better archivists to turn to who also had to teach me the lore. @somewhatinvested has some really helpful and thorough Trevor/Jamie primers that I would recommend if you want to read/spiral some more.
