thinking about ilya saying that he made sure his dad was buried next to his parents and also about ilya paying for every part of the funeral and therefore probably arranging a lot of it. which is to say that he is carrying so much #mentalload. and then thinking about him going to the cottage where shane has prepared literally everything for him and his visit so that all he has to do is chill and sleep and eat the food that shane cooks for him :'))) he doesn't even have to carry his own bag inside!!! and this is in fact something he deserves for the rest of his life
apparently youre supposed to perform. they love it when you perform. but it has to be authentic. they hate it when it's not authentic. but you have to perform.

I would not change it each time Heaven is not fit to house a love like you and I
I don’t like the U.S. military or their recruitment tactics but I feel very uncomfortable pretending that I’m morally superior to people who join, given the privileges I’ve had. Like am I supposed to pretend that my white ass who’s had six years of higher education paid for by parents who have always made well into six figures am an anti-imperialist queen meanwhile the students who I have worked with who are first and second gen immigrants of color are the greatest evils in the United States? I guess privilege is the experience of keeping your hands clean
