Rio Talis "Kiskadee", often called just "Dee" is the youngest to ever be enlisted into Task Force 141, freshly graduated from the acasim,demy two years prior. During a training sim, she suffered a case of friendly fire: a blast left her with partial hearing loss in her left ear and chronic tinnitus that made her bound to headphones and music (Yess, like Baby Driver, shut up). Because of this condition, she was deemed unfit for frontline deployment (a crushing blow, since her dream was to be a field operative)

Instead, when she was then transferred to the task force, Price assigned her as a chairborne support specialist, where her technical expertise and wit earned respect despite her size and inexperience. Rio often assists Gaz, but is placed under Ghost’s supervision as part of her training (this intentionally similar to how Roach was mentored in the original MW2 game)

Initially, Ghost resents Rio’s presence. Still reeling from the loss of Soap (still thinking about mixing both canons to include Roach's death too), he views her as a liability. He imposes harsh rules, trying to push her out. But Rio’s stubbornness, wit, and resilience slowly break through his walls. Over time, Ghost stop seeing her like an attempt to replace Soap, and training her becomes part of his own healing process.

In this AU the current tf141 operatives are: Ghost (Mentor figure), Gaz (works closely with Rio, but not her direct mentor), Price (Assigns Rio to Ghost deliberately, hoping to rebuild Ghost’s trust in the team.)
