9/21/15: 8am, Gotokuji
Naomichi(さん)gave us a cup of good coffee before we left. Definitely one of the friendliest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with.
9/20/15: 10pm, Gotokuji
Met up with my Airbnb host Naomichi at the station. He arranged a small birthday party for one of his friends and we had hot pot for the night. There were three of us staying the night (well, me for 7 more), a guy named Mark from Spain and a girl called Mina, who was a performer. Three of Naomichi’s friends spoke Spanish and I found it so odd: here we were, in the suburbs of Tokyo, conversing fluently in English, Spanish, Nihongo and Tagalog.
9/20/15: 9pm, Gotokuji Station
Me and my brother took the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku towards Gotokuji, where I was gonna be staying for the whole trip. There was some kind of festival right outside the station!

9/20/15: 5pm, somewhere in Shibuya
I enjoyed getting lost.
9/20/15: 3-4pm Shinjuku - Shibuya
Met up with my brother in Shinjuku after getting lost on the transfer from the Local to the Chuo Line. I bummed some internet from Yodabashi Camera while waiting, enjoying the sight of the city’s pulsating energy: everyone was going somewhere, and I dunno, being from Manila, I never really saw this kind of thing while walking: it was always either traffic or a mall.
We ate at a cheap restaurant (costing 500 yen for a rice meal) and went around the camera stores for awhile. He’d been in Japan since the start of September, so we talked about where he’d gone while wandering around Shinjuku and Shibuya. The air was crisp and cold.
