Since it's been a hot minute since I prompted this and I've released two fics recently with ambiguous endings that people have expressed interest in seeing continued, I figured I would call attention to my ko-fi again!

not my tweet or my fic (and there’s a good chance of this comment being a bot) but yeah, don’t do this. sure, some writers wouldn’t mind having fanfics (or direct continuation) of their fanfics written by someone else. some may even be thrilled and happy. but the fandom etiquette is that if you want to write a fanfic or a continuation of someone’s fanfic, YOU POLITELY ASK THE WRITER FOR THEIR PERMISSION. not their readers.

also 5 months isn’t long at all. 5 months is 5 minutes when it comes to fanfics. I’ve waited years for my favorite fics to get updated (one of my favorite fanfics was updated by the author after 13 years) and I’ve never said anything to them about “it’s been ___ years, I don’t think it will get updated anymore”. because another fandom / fanfic etiquette is that fanfic writers write for free in their free time, they don’t owe you anything. maybe they will update one day. maybe they won’t. if you want your favorite fic to get updated, you comment something like “this is good!! I’m excited for what happens next” and maybe your positive comment will motivate the author to update. but you don’t say “it’s been ___ months or years”. fanfics writers write for themselves and their own enjoyment. they’re just kind enough to let you read their works for free. stop being rude and entitled to fanfic writers.

so for one of my classes, i wrote an essay on 3rd life's plot from a structuralist point of view (specifically aristotle's), focusing of course on my favorite guys grian and scar

haven't seen anyone talk about this yet so you bet I'm gonna

thinking about Avery after those 13 hours at the church, placing flowers, breaking ferns, moving water, and drowning.

thinking about him seeing the signs and immediately falling to his knees and coughing up the water in his lungs, because before, he just let it sit there.

thinking about how wretched it would feel, the weight of his limbs, of his drenched clothing, the scratches on his hands from tearing up flowers, the fog in his mind

thinking about him finally snapping out of it and sobbing, because everything is too much and he's so tired and yet he needs to keep going, he needs to find d3rlord.

thinking about him, in this exhausted state, punching at netherite with his bare hands until it breaks

thinking about him finally coming face to face with Derek and just collapsing into a hug with him because it has been a hellish 15 hours and he just needs a moment. just a moment of peace.

anyway I love my minecraft critters. go watch searching for/destroying a world that doesn't exist, it's very good
