Afraid to wear some color? Take a cue from our Emmys 2016 fave Emily Ratajkowski and find out how to cop this wearable Jewel Toned look.
Jewel Toned eye makeup looks great on any skintone and it makes your eye color pop. I’m obsessed with this gorgeous winged look created by one of my fave celebrity makeup artists, Hung Vanngo for Emily Ratajkowski at the Emmys this year.

To cop this look, start by using a shimmery Teal-colored pencil like the Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil in Teal Malachite on the inner corners of your eyes and soften the edges with the smudger at the other end of the pencil. Use a darker blue shade like Lazuli Blue in the middle part for a gradient effect and then a dark navy on the outer corners like Scarab Sapphire and blend before pencil sets. Once it sets, it won’t budge unless you use a makeup remover and wash it off with warm water.
Keep the rest of your look clean and neutral. Groom your arches and set it with brow gel using the Eye of Horus Dual Brow Perfect. Keep your face flawless and shine-free using the Pop Beauty Velvet Powder Base, lightly contour with the Pop Beauty Pow Wow Powder in Beachin’ Bronze and swipe on a nude lippie like the Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Honey Bare.

Prep the lids and use base. The glossy color needs something to stick to to last the whole day and you need dewy and flawless looking skin to pull off this look. The Secret to Flawless Skin: Exfoliation + Hydration
Let’s cut to the chase: we all need our chemical products to look and feel younger. Proper exfoliators leave skin fresh, clean, rejuvenated. While most would prefer using a mild scrub, I would highly suggest using a mild acid toner for every day. For sensitive complexions, I find scrubs to be too abrasive and harsh on skin.
My top pick is, of course, the esteemed Pixi Glow Tonic. For starters, it contains 5% glycolic acid which has the smallest molecules and is able to penetrate skin better making it effective in treating fine lines, acne, oiliness, and blackheads (sounds like a winner already, doesn’t it?). At first I thought this seemed like an overrated product – just Google and you’ll find so many “glowing” reviews (sorry, pun intended). Well that was until I actually tried it. After a few weeks my blemish-prone, combination, and reactive skin started to actually look refined and even-toned. No kidding. And this is without any sort of embarrassing peeling, redness, or purging. Can I just say, wow? Now I have the Pixi Glow Tonic in ALL sizes – for travel, for overnight stays, for emergency pimple popping (I know, it’s a nasty habit). Hoard now, ladies, before it goes out of stock again.
Not wanting to leave skin raw and taut, a good hydrating product is also necessary to keep skin in tiptop shape. Another winner is the Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum, a non-greasy, fast-absorbing serum that combination/oily skin will love. It’s a far cry from all the emollient creams that feel warm and make skin look extra oily. When I landed in LA, I was greeted by the 38 degree weather. Wow, it was like I never left the Philippines. Of course, I was prepared as always. You Dew You has a golden/yellow undertone which suits those with olive and warm complexions best while You Glow Girl has a pink undertone perfect for pale and cool skin tones although to be honest they look great on every skintone (we tried them on the Glamourbox team and they looked great on everyone) They also looked fabulous mixed together according too our glam intern Shawn. This is a must-have if you’re looking for a super-pigmented, finelly milled highlighter that won’t break the bank.Â

Bavarian Beauty: What to Pack For a Summer Holiday in Germany
I’m traveling to the idyllic region of Bavaria, southeastern part of Germany, and coming to a place the 2nd time gives me an edge of knowing what to pack. The first I was in Bavaria, half the things I packed proved to be useless! I thought the summer will be hot all through out July. On the contrary, the sun may be out but the wind can be very cool or it can be hot in the morning but wet and cold in the afternoon. This time around, I have packed items suitable for the fickle weather, clothing and beauty products-wise.
My travel must-haves when traveling to Bavaria in the summer:
1.) Skincare – Apart from the usual suspects (facial wash, moisturizer, eye cream, day and night creams), I have my cutie patootie Pixi Glow Tonic to tone and exfoliate dead skin. SPF is a must when using this toner. Must I not forget, Bliss Hand Cream (with macadamia oil and grapeseed extract) to keep my hands soft and moisturized all day.Â
2.) Mask – I’m seriously addicted to masks and one of the things I purchased for this trip is the Pixi Glow Mud Mask (since my old tube was running out!). I use the mask the night I land to rejuvenate my skin after a long flight.  Loving the Leaders Eye Mask to de-puff bags. A box contains 4 pairs and I’m using them wisely for this trip.

5.) Eye Palette – This Eye of Horus Isis Sun Goddess palette has 3 pigmented shimmery shades (Enigma Mist, Chalice Bronze, and sacred Husk). The palette also doubles as a beautiful bronzer. I love the bronze the shade that brings out my morena skin.
6.) Hair – Sleek and handy Tangle Teezer Gold Compact Brush. I also have the travel sized My Amazing Blow Dry to cut blow-drying time.
7.) Tools – I trim down my brushes and select multi-purpose ones, including this Ofra cheek and powder brush. I never leave without my Shu Uemura Lash Curler.
8.) Fragrance – I tend not to bring a full bottle of perfume to save me so weight in my luggage. My mom gave me small Chloe perfumes that are perfect for travel. I can slip them in my day purse or evening clutch.
9.) Sunnies – I carry at least 2 when I travel and my current favorite is the Rayban polarized aviator.
10.) Scarf - A multi-tasking scarf can be  handy, you can use it as an accessory or headband. Picked up a peachy pink and black Bershka scarf to spruce up most of my outfit.
Rain or shine, Bavaria remains to be a gorgeous region filled with rich history and picturesque landscape. Pack ready for the fickle weather and have fun communing with nature!

Glamourbox had a pop-up shop where excited makeup artists got exclusive perks and discounts from Pixi by Petra, POP Beauty, Eye of Horus, and Ofra.Â
Meanwhile, Nong Chat showed his unique style and techniques in creating ethereal makeup looks that really bring out the intensity of the eyes.
Two techniques we learned was how he slightly extends the falsies, and highlights the bottom rim of the eyes to create an illusion of larger, brighter eyes.
