The contemporary version of the character is the alter-ego of Doris Zeul (1)who suffers from a fatal blood disease. She captures Wonder Woman and plans to put her "life-essence" into Wonder Woman's body using an experimental machine. Interrupted by Wonder Girl halfway through the experiment she ends up with her consciousness in a test animal gorilla named Giganta.(2)

Desperate to return her mind to a human body, Zeul the gorilla abducts a comatose circus strongwoman named Olga with size-changing abilities through unknown means (though Olga was comatose due to a mysterious shaman)(4) and uses the machine to successfully transfer her mind into that body, keeping the villain name "Giganta".

Giganta was created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in Wonder Woman #9 (1944).

Character Edits: Hello! A few citations for clarity.

1- Doctor Doris Zeul. I earned it. I will be addressed as it. Thank you.

2- The “test animal” was a Western Lowland named Molly and she was lovely. Nicer and better behaved than most humans, plus could reed together ladders.

3- I have not had sex with Grodd. Neither did Molly. Due to the transference, I share a bio-energy signature that simian males pick up on and become quite confused and aroused with. Gorilla City denizens consider me a “fetish” and it’s unflattering.

4- Olga was not “comatose due to a shaman”. She was a survivor of a circus train crash with no family to be found. Her muscles had atrophied due to the lack of movement and brain activity. It was also done by Dr Gerard Shugel, a pioneer in cerebral transference. Who happens to inhabit a white gorilla often. Yes I know. He also did my enhancement. And they’re fantastic. I have done the diligence in looking for the family. Anybody coming forward, you’ve had your chances. I know my rights.

Please refer to my pinned post. My mind was held in Molly’s body as a saving measure. As far as an echo , she and I simply see the world differently.

If I must once again indulge this perennial exercise, I suppose I can spare the cognitive effort. Curiously, I've been presented with a variation of this dilemma before. You've altered the variables, however, which means I'm now burdened with the administrative inconvenience of recalculating the outcome.

Though, out of professional concern, I do hope this isn't the question that's occupied your thoughts throughout the day as you waited for my reply. It would indicate a troubling allocation of cognitive resources.

The Joker remains the obvious candidate for execution. Whatever intellectual curiosity his psychology inspires is consistently outweighed by the practical inconvenience of allowing him to remain alive. He's an exceptionally poor collaborator. And his unpredictability is only interesting until it begins attempting to double-cross me. 

Previously, I was content assigning marriage to Mr. Wayne, if only for the practical advantages his resources would afford, when the alternative with Batman was…rather more intimate in nature. Now, don’t be encouraged to misunderstand me. I continue to regard the endeavor itself as fundamentally frivolous. Even so, if one were intent upon understanding a mind as carefully defended as the Batman's, there are very few circumstances under which even he could maintain complete psychological discipline. Physical and emotional intimacy seems, from a purely investigative standpoint, the more productive arrangement. 

A kiss, though, is almost entirely devoid of diagnostic value. Marriage, by contrast, could afford prolonged observation. So, Bruce Wayne is demoted to the kiss. Batman inherits the marriage. I wouldn't expect matrimony alone to produce any remarkable psychological revelations. He strikes me as the sort of man who would remain guarded even under those circumstances. 

And, given our history, establishing any meaningful degree of trust would be…ambitious. Nevertheless, it presents considerably greater research potential than a kiss ever could.

So. Kiss Bruce Wayne. Marry Batman. Kill the Joker.

Villainy Inc Headcanons: As I’m the one goofy these things are important to.

1- Doctor Maru (Poison) is quite the team nutritionist. And has the best recommendations for dining no matter where its members find themselves. And she’s never allowed to make tea.

2- Jinx keeps a bit of hero(villain?) worship. No matter how nice the team is to her, she’s going to question whether she belongs. Whereas the Fearsome Five are quite the pedigree themselves.

3- Clea loves trash television. To the point she can be distracted from team plans by a new episode or season drop.

4- Giganta is an unwilling Team Mom to the members. Each member goes to her first to share personal challenges, ask advice and bitch about one another.

5- The Group Chat is sensational. Cyborgirl keeps everyone’s devices quite difficult to track, to the point of confusing Lex Luthor and Mister Terrific. Which is a good thing, as they’ve made many a FMK list.

6- Team consensus is that Cheetah has the best ass in the underworld and even above. She’s the official “okay, Hear me Out”.

7- Begrudgingly, most don’t hate Diana. She’s preachy, holier than thou, and annoyingly persistent, but the members would rather have her around than not. Because Cheetah would be unbearable without her.

8- All the homies hate Donna.
