a few things to keep in mind today:

election results won’t be coming in immediately. we won’t have a conclusive answer tonight, or tomorrow, or for a few days. it could take a week or more to count all mail-in ballots. don’t believe anyone calling a state tonight.

the initial results will likely have a republican lean, because republicans are more likely to vote in-person, but it doesn’t mean it’s conclusive. again, don’t believe anyone calling states tonight.

consider tagging election-related posts - it’s a very stressful time for people here in the states, and i’m sure those outside of it are sick of hearing about it.

find something to do today and do it. seriously, learn how to bake or cook something, or find a new game to get invested in, or get caught up on schoolwork, or listen to that podcast you’ve been meaning to try out, or watch some movies. if you can, spend time with friends and family. stay updated, but supergluing yourself to the news all day won’t help you.

if you can’t vote for whatever reason - suppression measures didn’t allow you, you were too busy, or you were too young, any reason - please don’t feel guilty. take a deep breath and know there are other ways to create positive change.

How does the Matsuno react if their crushes sleep on their lap?

I’m gonna do a little headcanon for this, because I like to think they all react differently. Osomatsu will laugh to himself a little bit, finding it really cute that you found his lap that comfortable. He tries his best to push back all the dirty thoughts of your head being that close to his lap, but there’s always that little devil on his shoulder that makes him smirk. He thankfully behaves himself though, and eventually drifts off to sleep with you.  Karamatsu feels a pang in his chest. And it’s one he almost can’t place. You’re angelic in your softened, sleepy features - a thing of beauty that can’t be captured other than right this second. His eyes take you all in; his heart, swollen at the thought of you being so comfortable with him that you can find it in yourself to rest...and then it hits him. Maybe he can place that feeling in his chest after all. Choromatsu finds himself quite nervous at first! He’s not sure what to do - should he wake you gently so you can sleep somewhere more comfortable? No, that’d be rude, right? Should he try to get comfortable until you wake up? What to do, what to do! He wracks his brain for answers, until you stir ever so slightly. And he pauses. He finds his answer. Choromatsu’s features melt into a soft smile as he watches a few strands of hair fall over your face. He finds peace and stillness in your features, so he decides to be the same.  Ichimatsu welcomes such a feat. No words necessary, as soon as you’re off to sleep in his lap, he shifts as gently as possible to make you comfortable. He will admit, at first he panicked, not knowing if this was okay or not for someone like him to even have something as nice as this happen. But when he tries to back away, your grip is surprisingly strong. He laughs at this, thus shifting in a position where he can either hug you from behind or allow you to truly sleep comfortably in his lap.  With Jyushimatsu he finds himself at a dilemma: what should he do? Much like Choromatsu he ponders his options, sleeved hand at his mouth with cat-like eyes to accompany his thoughtful expression. It isn’t until you curl a little more into a ball in his lap that his wide grin takes on a gentler tone. Feeling lighter now, Jyushimatsu simply chooses to wrap his noodle arms around you and cuddle you closer.  Todomatsu has to bite his tongue to keep from squealing at how cute you are. He so terribly wants to hold you or even take pictures of your adorable sleepy face, but he decides not to. The small giggle you let out in the midst of your sleep, had him letting out a sigh of adoration. In that moment, he felt incredibly, incredibly lucky.
