One of the funniest parts of iasip is how Mac is literally never working. I mean Charlie and Dee are the only ones who really do their jobs in general, but at least Frank actually seems to handle the business side of things and Dennis bartends and other assorted tasks on occasion. 5 seasons into my rewatch and I don’t think Mac has ever actually did his duties as a bouncer. Actually the one time they did kick someone out of the bar, it was Charlie who did it.

i cant stop thinking about them showing up this episode in the outfits that dennis all put them in for the lowest rated dinner party that made charmacdee miserable and gave dennis a mental breakdown. and then trying to stick to the script on camera. the implications of that are so delicious. at the end of prime time they literally learned that trying to make themselves palatable for the audience doesnt work and they start considering if they should just be themselves and then they watch frank replace them with a fake made for tv family so they show up to be recorded once again trying to make themselves palatable for an audience AAAAAH. they had a conversation off screen where they decided to do that!!! dennis convinced them that they need to not embarrass themselves on national television, they agreed to pretend to be normal, and then they failed in the same ways AGAIN, macdennis had a public spat about their relationship where mac punched dennis hard, dee made horrible cringey degrading jokes, charlie had a full mental breakdown because he was losing frank and his mother was now involved - built the sameee shit we saw them have problems with in prime time and they STILL chose to perform the same lie again and they STILL failed. in the end they keep trying to play roles that they cannot fulfill and humiliate themselves as a result. and then they go on to watch frank shed HIS role as sleazy businessman to choose the woman he had genuine feelings for. incredible.

iasip but vampires become a real thing and mac is one and dennis is human and vampires can turn humans BUT mac is adamant he’ll only turn his lover and dennis really REALLY wants to be a fucking vampire because what’s a better skincare routine than never fucking aging? only he can’t get anyone to turn him because he’s so desperate and scary for it that it turns off the other vampires he finds so his life becomes a ticking time bomb of getting old, older than mac especially, or having to point blank admit out loud in words that he loves mac and wants to be his boyfriend. bonus points if everyone else in the gang managed to be vampires too and refuse to turn dennis so mac is literally his only way into vampirism
