some of these is just reiteration of some phm posts i've seen floating by but i just wanted to draw them... i think, in minecraft terms, pearl's focus is more artsy (read: builder) than stem-y (read: redstoner). but being able to do both definitely translates to grace's school teacher persona, i can see her being more approachable when it comes to explaining and teacher science. and of course she fulfills a golden retriever-like role in cleo's life. welcome back vsmp

partially based on @strifesolution's shiny duo save stars au but i put my own PET twist on it... I'm a big fan of everyone acknowledging how smart and capable pearl is except herself. that and the overarching theme of loneliness

i just thought of people pearl absolutely admire and would feel guilty failing over. i love PET postal but there's also this distance in this group that comes from pearl timezones preventing them from hanging out and doing stuff together, which solidifies their roles for me in this au... she would love to get to know them and save stars together but she couldn't, even though both etho and tango have high opinions of her. having friends in different timezones than you is kind of like a dead wife

i need people to start caring about trans rights all around the world, not just american. the lok sabha (parliament of india) just passed the transgender amendment bill of 2026 according to which they're removing a person's right to self determination of gender unless they're examined & approved by a medical board. it's hard enough for people here to get a gender defining surgery because of poverty and being shunned by society as is, & now they're taking away their right to exist. the medical boards are bigoted as fuck. despite protests all around the country they passed it. it is so fucking bleak out here.
