Your aunt was happy you accepted the offer to say the least. But now that you're actually putting your luggage into the car, you're starting to have second thoughtsā¦and a stomach ache.
She turned to look at you. "Okay the flight leaves at 7 so we should leave within the next 10 minutes. Are you good to go?"
Despite the way your stomach was churning "I'm good, let's go before I change my mind."
The airport was about 40 minutes away and you wanted extra time for a long goodbye with your aunt.
She's basically the only family you have due to the fact that your mom was never really in the picture and your dad disappeared after you turned 7. Despite that, she made sure you had an amazing childhood and you're forever grateful for her.
You guess you ended up falling asleep during the drive judging by the fact that you were now being shaken awake by your aunt.
"We're here." She said softly.
You two stand near the boarding area now but neither one of you seem to be able to form any words. At least not without breaking into a fit of sobs.
Your voice was a whisper now. "Okay, we're going to hug and say goodbye. We are not going to cry and we are not going to make a scene." You could feel your eyes starting to water.
"Ok." She whispered back.
Both of your arms wrapped around on another like this was the last time you'd ever see each other again.
You stayed like that for as long as you could before finally pulling back a little. She cupped your face in her hands. "I-I'll call you every week alright? Be good and do amazing things."
She pulled you back in with a hand on your head. "I love you so much." You could hear her voice crack.
You were sure tears had started to fall from your eyes now. "I love you too." You managed to whimper out.
A full minute goes by before you finally let go and grab your bags. You let out a long sigh. "Bye."
"Goodbye love ." Her voice was quiet but filled with melancholy.
Once you were on the plane you tried to cheer yourself up with a nice movie so you plugged in your earbuds and clicked on Megamind. A classic.
Sometime during the flight however, the anxiety you had about your new school came back and you started to worry about what a rich school entails outside of better career paths. Are you getting a roommate? Will you make friends? Will you be able to keep up with your classes?
It's all too much right now so in an effort to push those thoughts down, you forced yourself to sleep.
By the time you arrived it was almost noon. You called an Uber to pick you up from the airport.
The school was finally within your view and the pictures online did not do it justice.
The building was like a castle sitting on hundreds of acres of bright green grass which was all being protected behind large gates.
The moment you got out of your Uber, you were approached by a tall woman who seemed to be no older than 40s in a black power suit. She must be a part of the admin staff.
"A new student I presume?"
"Right well let's get you checked in."
You followed her into the giant school, passing a few staff on the way. The hallway was magnificent to say the least. The floor was this beautiful white tile, the wooden walls were at least 20 feet tall and covered in trophies, awards, and pictures of people you figured must be really important.
She led you into her office and motioned for you to take a seat in one of the leather chairs in front of her desk. "My name is Melanie Bass but you'll call me Mrs.Bass." She offered her hand to shake.
You took her hand and gave a small smile. "Nice to meet you."
"Now let's see about your schedule." She began typing on her computer while mumbling your name under her breath.
"Ah found you. Shall we get started?"
After an hour you two were done going over the rules and your schedule.
Mrs.Bass was now walking you out. "The girls dorm is on the left wing and your dorm is on the second floor, room 202. Here's a physical copy of your schedule with your room number, student ID and the emails of any staff you'll need to get in contact with." She handed you a folded paper.
"Your uniform will be dropped off at your dorm later. If you have more questions feel free to email me later."
You can feel a headache coming on. "Ok I will. Thank you again."
Once you're out of her sight you open up the paper she handed you to see what exactly you'll be working with for the rest of the year.

At least you don't have an athletics class.
Unfortunately for you, arriving on a Saturday meant most of the girls were in the dorm building. Which means everyone gets a good look at the new girl.
One embarrassingly long walk later, you finally arrive at your room. You look at the plate next to the door.
You knocked on the door softly and waited for a response back. 'Please don't be a bitch. Please don't be a bitch. Please don't be a bitch.' As you waited you could hear light giggling behind you.
"She's in for it." You could hear someone whisper.
You unlocked the door with your key card. "Um hello? I'm your new room- Oh God sorry!" It's only fitting to walk in on your roommate making out with someone on your first day.
Both girls quickly separated from each other."Whoops. Sorry I didn't hear you knock." The girl with wavy black hair spoke up while adjusting her clothes.
"Uh yeah, it's cool." You looked over at the other girl who was doing everything in her power to avoid your gaze. Her face was redder than her hair.
The girl with black hair cleared her throat and walked up to you.
"Thea Calligaris. You said you're my new roommate?" She said while reaching around you to close the door.
"Mm hmm. Y/n L/n⦠sorry about ah y'know."
She smiled. "Oh it's fine, guess i'm just too used to rooming alone."
A moment of silence lingers for far too long.
The red haired girl finally speaks up albeit very faintly ."Umā¦I uh-I think I'm gonna go Thea."
Thea turned to face her. "You sure?"
The red head gave her a strained smile and nodded.
You grabbed your stuff and moved out of her way before she could run you over in her desperation to get out of the room.
After the door clicked shut Thea turned to you.
