it's so tiring to have diseases and ailments
Wanna hangout and maybe you can kill me or something
I've decided if people are going to call male characters babygirl then I can do it the other way around for female characters. She's my man now. That woman is my boyfriend. My boytoy even.
I have no idea who or what carhartt is but i always see big boys wearing em so they have my full support
expensive jackets for people who do out door labor thats oddly enough worth the high price.
To be fair it is a very nice looking jacket
They're not terribly expensive for the quality of Carhartt's products. In fact, Carhartt should be the standard.
A warm, durable canvas winter coat from Carhartt cost me about $200. But this thing will last forever. Because it's designed to be worn for work. After a few years, it's actually gotten more comfortable and better looking because it's broken in. I'm gonna have this coat for the rest of my life. It's made to last. I've never had a winter coat last more than a couple years because it rips or tears.
My friend with a pretty Burberry raincoat spent $2,000 and it's not designed to hold up that well or be punished like a Carhartt coat. That's expensive, and impractical. $200 for a coat that will last a lifetime is great if you can afford it.
Big boys love them cuz they fit. They're a little oversized and come in lots of sizes and as a big boy I don't have time or money anymore to waste on crappy clothes.
I have a Carhartt backpack. Carhartt boots and pants. My dog even has a Carhartt harness.
Carhartt is also women run, loudly supports the LGBTQ community, treats its workers well, and was one of the first and few companies to support mandatory COVID vaccines. It's not just a good product, it's a good American company.
CARHARTT!

shoutout to the guy who ran for "class president" (not a real role at this school) in 7th grade and just put up posters everywhere about how he would bring steam powered rail back. no other policy. hope you're doing well.

Wow, now there's a bot going around on Ao3 telling people that the "moderators" will delete works from "deprecated" fandoms and impose bans.
Fearmongering bullshit, but it's fearmongering bullshit that seems to be taking advantage of the recent spotlight series in order to trick authors into deleting their fics.
Just. Why.
What the hell does anyone get out of making these bots.
There's a theory already that this makes it easier for copyright infringers to steal fanfics because you can't prove the authorship of a deleted work.
This is pure evil
Spread the word
p.s. The comments look something like this:
p.p.s. There's no "new" policy that bans original works, either. Everything that was allowed, is still allowed. This is a "please read our TOS ffs" awareness campaign - not a surprise rugpull. Don't delete anything, please. It's an archive.
Note that all those different spam bots use GUEST accounts (this includes the bots insulting our works and the bots claiming that the author used AI). Which makes sense, as the way Ao3 gives out accounts doesn't really work for bot networks (too slow, too few, and actual accounts can much easier get banned and are then harder to retrieve/make).
I had one bot comment, about two years back (a "normal" insult one). Since the first AI scraping, I have locked all my fics to only be readable and commentable by registered users and have never seen any bot activity again, not even on a fic of mine that got surprisingly much attention. Bots with accounts might exist, but they obviously have to behave much more careful to not lose said accounts, thus rendering them ineffective (and more expensive in the long run, considering how much bot networks cost).
As much as it sucks and as much as its not a long-term solution, but locking comments to only registered users reduces bot comments. Locking fics reduces scrapers. Ao3 has the tools to improve an author's experience, at the cost of the readers who don't make an account. It's tragic, but genuine readers can and should consider making an account (authors can't see you've read their work unless you kudo/comment, if you simply wish to lurk). Because in the long run, unless we wish to see ourselves swamped with this ugliness, we might be forced to lock down at least in part, comparable to forums of the older internet. Back then, you could see a few public channels when not registered, and once you've made an account, the entire board opened to you and you could participate. It was a safe option to keep the ones interacting with the board in a controlled way (aka ban-able if breaking any rules).
A few fics being open for guests is fine to attract them, to me though the goal has long moved to "here's a preview, for the full experience get an account". The few genuine guest comments are just not worth the stress, disappointment and antagonism of the severe bot activity on Ao3 anymore, and if I could endure 2 weeks to a month to get my account to post fanfics, then I can expect that much patience of readers as well.
