‘    that  is  so  not  true.   ’    karolina  was  offended  by  that  statement.   she  liked  to  believe  that  she  was  independent  and  could  take  care  of  herself  despite  always  having  someone,  usually  a  church  member   (   but  rarely  her  parents  )   around  to  help  her.     ‘    thank  you  for  the  offer  but  i  don’t  need  your  help.   ’      her  tone  was  softer  now,  not  wanting  to  offend  the  other  but  to  prove  to  herself  that  she  can  do  this  on  her  own.

she  shakes  her  head  as  she  sits  down  at  the  stairs  of  the  hostel.   it’s  been  a  draining  day  for  all  of  them  and  karolina  has  definetely  overused  her  powers  but  she  can’t  rest  until  nico’s  back.    they  had  to  split  up  during  the  fight  and  decided  to  meet  back  at  the  hostel.    ‘   i’m  waiting  for  nico  to  come  home.   ’     she  couldn’t  rest  without  nico  coming  back  safe  in  their  home  even  if  she  forced  herself  to  lay  down.
