About Me
Pleased to meet ya! I am gocleau, which is pronounced like go-slow. I am an artist and content creator, originally from Colorado, but currently based out of Southern California.
I have been practicing art seriously since roughly 2001, and I got into digital art three years later in 2004. My first foray into 3D character art and digital assets was on a program called MilkShape3D, and hand painted UVs in Photoshop. I have gone to multiple art schools including Woodbury University, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and I also apprenticed at the Stan Winston School for monster art, painting and practical art, learning how to paint skin with acrylic paint on plaster. Today I use these skills together, along with programs like Substance Painter and the Arnold Render engine to create renders, assets and other digital art, Blender and Maya to create 3d hard-surface models, and Zbrush to create all the rest. I still do practical art as well, but not as much as I would like.
Finally, I would not be where I am right now if not for my wife, who inspires me in every way imaginable.
