Okay. It’s very simple: When the government disburses money to its employees in the form of a salary, the transaction where the taxpayer is concerned is concluded. The taxpayer has paid the employee for services rendered. What that employee does with that salary after that isn’t the taxpayer’s business, since the taxpayer already got what they paid for.

To put it another way, you wouldn’t argue that Doris from the DMV is “spending taxpayer money” when she spends some of her salary on a pedicure and claim it’s the equivalent of a presidential golfing trip, or that a soldier buying a case of beer with his salary is a waste of tax money. Because you are paying them for the job they did.

In other words, it’s not fucking taxpayer money anymore.

It is, however, still taxpayer money when it is part of an account set aside for expenses incurred in the execution of one’s duties, and the President uses it to pay himself for taking vacations, and to pay himself again for the taxpayer-provided security detail.

And even if I were to play your stupid false equivalence game: At $300 per console and a game price of $59.99, AOC would have to buy 369,455 Nintendo Switches with a copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons for each to reach the $133 million racked up by Trump’s golf trips. So even if you were to blubber about how it’s all a tragic loss of taxpayer money either way, there’s your fucking difference you goddamn moron.

So imagine you’re a gay top, right, and you’re out on a date with your partner, just having a fun time, and you’re about to head home, when you spot this kid passed out on the streets, your partner wants to help him, but you’re obviously a little worried that you could face severe repercussions if you help this random kid, then you realize that he could be a potential ally, so the two of you drag him out of the streets and into a safe space, and when he wakes up, he confesses that he’s homeless, so you and your partner go through the process of adopting him, you two take him home, you two give him a good meal, you two start to teach him some philosophies in life, he slowly grows up, you two help him through his bad dreams, you two help him through his bad memories, you two play games with him, he completely roasts you at an eating contest, he’s extremely active, you’re always on the move, you’re walking everywhere, like literally walking all the time, like so much walking, and you’re there for him and then all of a sudden, his childhood friend shows up on your doorstep and is like, “Your adopted son is really the king.” and then he falls in love with a woman in like 2.55 minutes which is definitely not something you two taught him how to do, so you’re confused, and the weather gets really weird, and you’re even more confused and in the end, all you really want to know is WHO’S THE MONKEY and by the time you’re dressing in drag and doing the hula, you’ve realized that maybe it’s better if you just don’t worry about it…

I started DMing a homebrew game of 5e Dungeons and Dragons. All of my friends are first time players and they're really starting to get into it! Lotus is a Firbolg who doesn't remember her past. Her oldest memory is waking up in the Sun Shadow monastery in Korith. After a while, her magic surged and she left the monastery to talk to a wizard. She learned a lot about magic there, but still couldn't find anything about where her magic comes from. She then went on the road toward Gardedia where knowledge overflows. On the road, she and a few other adventurers stopped a gnoll attack on some travelling merchants and now she's found new friends and hasn't had a strange surge...yet. Lotus is very kind and is always looking for more information, but she has a strange penchant for fire...and setting things on fire... Lotus is played by my friend Sarah. I'm getting back into digital art and trying to find my style.
