Gar has found himself in a very particular situation. He has a date, a very cute unrealistic date with a human. He didn't think it was even possible given that he's well green.

He knows that he's cute he's reminded every day he looks in the mirror. But the fact that someone actually came up to him and asked him out as if it was normal. Yeah he had a lot of questions.

So he asked his teammates just to see if he was crazy. At first they didn't believe him and thought he was pulling their leg. At least that confirmed that he wasn't insane in thinking that was abnormal. But when he probably explained the situation to the other Titans his Robin was skeptical.

He knows that he should take this opportunity as good and amazing and cool. But he couldn't take chances and Robin drilled it into him that he couldn't take chances. There was always the chance that it was a setup and they were trying to kidnap him or something. It could be Hive too.

So gar sets up a date with this mysterious guy. But it's in a public place and the other Titans were going to be on standby. Honestly he's just hoping for the best.

Dash moved out of Amity, he was sort of used to dealing with bullshit constantly. Especially after graduation and his fellow classmates being either ghost or ghost adjacent. Living in a typical city was out of the question because he's used to peace. Hero City it is.

So when he found himself in jump City with a bunch of teen heroes he felt nostalgic. A good form of nostalgia. Honestly he would trust them more than he would trust anyone else.

Then he started developing a new crush he had a celebrity crush before but this one was different. Beast Boy as he would call himself reminded him of some of the ghosts back home. Quirky, sassy and overall fun to be around.

The difference between the teens heroes here and well Phantom was that the teens were still teenagers and they roamed around the streets like normal people. They could interact with the heroes like they were normal people. So Dash took his chances, asked him out on a date.

At first he said he was going to think about it but a few days later he ended up getting a text message. Score! Turns out living in a city like this isn't that bad.

As much as I love Danny in Gotham fics I feel like Danny in Fawcett city has crazy potential.

To start with, as a place for Danny to hide from the GIW in I think it has just as much going for it as Gotham.

At the bare minimum I could easily believe that all the Divine thunder and lightning that Captain Marvels throwing around could easily interfere with ghost sensors. If ectoplasms a form of magical goop than trying to track one traumatized teenage boys worth of the stuff while a mystic sun is moonwalking down the street to pimp slap Captain Nazi two blocks over probably wouldn’t work very well.

If Danny’s on the run in Fawcett and the GIW does show up to try and capture him it is not gonna go well for them. All Billy’s gonna see is a bunch of creepy adults trying to abduct a fellow homeless kid and suddenly Captain Marvels descending from the heavens to flick his wrist with a shout of “Brown Magic!”. In an instant the Agents pristine white suits arn’t so pristine anymore and they know for a fact they will Never Live This One Down.

But more than that, I think of all the more mystical versions of Fawcett as the single best kind of place for Danny to hide.

This is the city where Billy Batson, 10 year old radio host extraordinaire, is regularly giving out reminders when to cast certain types of rituals and playing “a message from our sponsor” segments about shops that sell magic doors, mystical candles for rituals and potion ingredients. I’ve seen fics where Batman’s loosing his mind while walking around Fawcett because there’s unicorn drawn carriages going through the streets, Fae folk run businesses on every corner, Vampires working at the local blood bank and a Werewolf girl (whom he can NOT allow Damien to meet under any circumstances) playing tag with a centaur in the local park while their parents watch and gossip together from a distance. A corpse with a heart beat will barely even register on the Weirdness Scale of Fawcett, so Danny’s gonna fit right in.

Agent K: I know it sounds crazy, but we’re looking for a Ghost.

Carol, a random citizen entertaining these outsiders because she’s bored waiting for the bus: You’re gonna have to a bit more specific man, what kind of ghost are we talking here? Poltergeist? Spirit? Shade? What are we dealing with?

Agent K: A menace to society!

Carol, whose little brother keeps stealing her fruit snacks every other day despite being dead for 13 years: Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?

Fawcett also got trapped in a time bubble, which opens up a lot of options with Clockwork. If it’s still in a time bubble than it’s pretty much the safest place in the entirety of the living realm for Danny to hide out in and Clockwork can just yeet him in when things go south in Amity. Even if it’s out of the time bubble it’d still make sense for Clockwork to be more aware of the goings on in the city, both because of the time bubble itself and because the Champion of Magic and Rock of Eternity are settled down there. Maybe the whole city getting trapped in time also makes it a grey area when it comes to the rules preventing Clockwork from interfering in the living realm too much.

Clockwork: you should go and live in Fawcett, you’ll be safe there.

Danny: Because the GIW won’t be able to find me there, right?

No no batman and superman are right.

They know him as a ghost. He lives in the Zone and comes to the living world. Which means no housing. Oxygen might be non existent over there for all they know, and that would kill the baby. If they DO know they can breathe there because they've been there before then they know they have no sun. We get vitamin D because we make it from the sun. We need sun or things that are fortified with it because the only food that naturally has it is mushrooms, provided u also put them in the sun beforehand. We need sun. That baby is gonna die of rickets in there.

Does Phantom have access to baby food there. Can human baby digest ghost baby food or get nutrition from it??? Most people regulate danger for baby based off their danger level. Too hot/cold for me if too hot/cold for baby. If it hurts me, it will hurt baby. Dangerous for me, and I need to not risk it because it is also dangerous to baby. Also baby rearing, a lot less in the West, tends to be communal. Phantom could pass baby on to trusted siblings, friends, cousins and older children if needed but those people need to also get human (and human baby) limits. Does he have this??? To the JL knowledge, those that Phantom could pass the baby to in an emergency, are them, who will also be busy with the emergency.

As a human, this solves a lot of instinctual problems but is still left with the resources problem. Man does not exist, his baby does not exist in a way connected to him. He has no house or money to their knowledge because he has never needed it before. If he transformed instead of shape shifted he will need to get used to his new limits. Someone needs to make sure he's not reported for kidnapping the first time he takes him to the doctor and he has nothing. He will need a job. Someone to babysit while he's out heroing or he will need to retire.

Someone will need to make sure the lady wasn't lying and this isn't a random stolen baby who has family or even the father looking for them.

So from their point of view it would be safer for the baby to be adopted by a batman approved family and checked on rather than Phantom going finders keepers. A baby is really hard work even with a support system, financial means, attuned instincts, and relatively similar limits, things they don't know he already has.

Batman: Previous excursions into the Infinite Realms left us with valid concerns about its suitability for an infant mortal human. Extreme temperatures and lack of sunlight to name a few.

Batman: We had additional concerns about a ghosts ability to intuit a baby’s needs. Baby’s are very delicate. Phantoms reduced body temperature could leave him unable to provide for the baby’s needs and comfort. Similarly his super strength could pose risks.

Susan: So by your logic metas with cryokinesis or enhanced strength are also unfit parents? 🤨

Vlad redemption can be good, but give some irredeemable Vlad. Enough to make everyone give up on him but nobody more than Dani. She hates being related to him and while she won't cross the line like Vlad she will stay within the limits to try and remove anything that connects her to him but most of all anything that could give him wiggle room to the crown since she is Danny's heir . This where Duke comes in.

He is either already dating Danny so it is easy for him to offer to incubate her core, OR she has been observing him and finds him good enough to incubate her core and good enough to date her template so she is using her reformation/rebirth to hook Danny up with the wholesome demi-god

Duke after the procedure now realizing he needs an excuse not to patrol for the next few weeks because he needs to save as much energy as possible for Ellie.

Duke: Hey Cass! Do you mind helping me get a schedule going to cover my day shifts! I’ll do any bat related chores for anyone who helps! I just need time to…study. The course I signed up for fun is more difficult than I thought but I made anew friend who has agreed to help me study so we can ace the mid term together.

Cass and everyone else just thinks this is an excuse for Duke to spend time with his potential crush. But since he agreed to handle bat stuff they don’t like everyone agrees.

Danny meanwhile is in fact helping Duke study and making sure he’s well feed and taking care of himself and their Daughter….Duke also passed the gauntlet of his protective friends and sister, so Danny is taking it as permission to woo Ellie’s second parent. Definitely doesn’t hurt that Duke is cute and a really great guy. Although he definitely doesn’t like how much Duke and his family of bats have all suffered at the hands of the joker…he should do something about that….

Months later Danny is taken hostage by the Joker who wanted to hurt the lil signal’s new Bo only for Danny to immediately kill him “in self defense” he made sure it was caught on camera that he looked like the joker had the upper hand before ensuring his neck snapped. It was classified as perfectly reasonable self defense against a mad man/Mass murderer.

Even after its revealed Danny could have used his powers to escape he uses the anti ecto acts which were not recified at the time and point out if his status was exposed it would have put him AND Duke in danger!

Danny followed the law to the letter and Bruce is both angry and respects him for it.

Meanwhile the rest of the batfam is treating Danny like the king he is for getting rid of the joker.

Duke and Danny will take care of those Bat chores everyone hates. Having your ghost king baby daddy takes a lot of the gross or tiresome out of those chores so he will be happy to negotiate other goodies and favors from the Batfam for as long as they think he is working on them alone 🤭

Danny taking preventive measures because when the Thomas couple gets cured (and everyone else) he does not see the Joker taking that well. And if he happens to avenge the Infinite realms's favorite undead vigilante that is between him and Lady Gotham who made it all possible.

Danny will be the fave "Wayne" of the family but that doesn't save him from being teased because he and Duke are so cute together 😌

Years later the parents tried to recreate that experiment. At first it was unsuccessful because they forgot to hit a button inside before connecting it to the power grid. Danny went down with his friends to show them and they convinced him to go inside so Sam could take a picture. Danny tripped and…fell on the button and thousands of bolts of electricity and Ecto surged in his body for at least a full minute before it stabilized and spat Danny out. He both survived but didn’t. His body is both Alive and Dead Schrödinder’s boy. Vlad falls on a similar part of the Death and Death touched spectrum. Meaning when he found out Danny had a similar accident as him he became obsessed with Danny becoming his son and evil apprentice. He obviously said no and when Vlad realized he wasn’t going to get Danny to say yes willingly, he turned to cloning. Ellie was the only remotely stable Clone to survive outside the pods. She was always unstable but it’s been getting we’re over the years.

That’s where I come in. If someone compatible incubates her Core and essentially becomes her second bio parent, she can finally be stable forever and Danny who is really powerful, would owe them forever. I was one choice…Klarion the witch boy was the other.

Tim: Klarion!

Dune nodding sagely: So you understand why I couldn’t say no to helping Ellie and Danny. It be giving Klarion a dangerous Favor on a silver platter! AND in exchange beyond being my new boyfriend…Danny’s not only going to heal my parents minds but make it so Babs will be able to walk again.

Our king has no rizz au

Danny in a surprising show of events begins his princely training while alive. His instructors are the kind of ghosts that denizens would drool over and maybe even have had wars started over them. They are tactile and very nice but Danny doesn't realize they are hitting on him. His favorite lessons were those with Princess Dorathea who can't stop laughing because of how much fun they have.

The Observants want to fully kill Danny because he is not noticing the attractive ghosts that would help him when he becomes king despite the Observants putting them right in front of him. Some of them were even in his arms yet still their boy king remains oblivious!

They go as far as to get Ghost Writer and have him Put Danny and the candidates in Cinderella but their prince remained oblivious. He thought it was 'ghost Sadie Hawkins' and danced with everyone to not let anyone feel left out.

The Observants are now desperate and try their hand at more alive candidates. The problem is, they don't know anyone aside from the prince's friends so the call goes out to all ghosts, find a princess candidate for their hopeless prince among the living. The criteria is someone who would not clash with a protection spirit and someone who would not belittle space. It goes as well as anything involving the Infinite Realms can go lol.

Tim is put forth as a candidate with Lady Gotham as his Sponsor who points to his Neon Knights as a private army of Tim's that have a small blessing. The most devoted of them have begun to demonstrate defensive abilities

Poison Ivy talks her way out of it. Undergrowth wanted one of his children and presented her but she has a partner and was disqualified because she wouldn't break up with Harley

Pandora sponsors Wonder Woman who is flattered but refuses to wed a child (a lot of people are children in her eyes lol)

Wandering King DP x DC

{Aka, Danny on vacation causes some (a lot of) panic.}

{Inspired by Leviathan Danny and Eldritch Danny fics, though it'll probably go off its own way in the future if I decide to keep posting my writing. But for right now, this is just build up. Maybe in the future I'll post more of my wips or oneshots. There wont be any beta reading for this so it might be all over the place.}

After the incident, the Fenton household became all too much sometimes. Having to constantly pretend that, no, he wasn't a dead preteen, and no, his parents' negligence didn't kill him. He needed a place to go to just escape from the stress. The fear. Even if he insisted that he wasn't scared of his parents, there was that fear in the back of his head of if he was caught or if his parents ended up not taking him being half dead well.

Danny didn't know where he'd go in the beginning, following wherever his core took him. He followed it as if he already knew where he was going cause his core was confident in its own instincts.

Plenty of times, this led him to leaving out his window in the middle of the night only to return at the break of dawn or not at all. But while neither of his parents seemed to notice his escapades, Jazz definitely did. She didn't push, not much, considering when he came back, he seemed lighter than when he left. Once she confirmed it wasn't anything too illegal or dangerous, she let him have this.

Despite staying up most nights, his core was kept fed and it was enough to keep him up. But even that could only get him so far.

Since they were kids, Jazz was always the one to take care of Danny. Their parents tended to get so caught up in their own obsessions that they forgot all of their other responsibilities. Sure, it was worrying that Danny barely slept outside of mid class naps. But he was still eating and looked pretty healthy if not more so than before. She could only hope that Danny wasn't getting into trouble. Jazz knew hovering over his shoulders wouldn't help him, but she would be there for when he needed her.

Between his school life and hero life, Danny found himself wandering more. Finding himself on roofs or in the park, just staring up at what stars he could see. For now, it was plenty enough for him to satisfy his obsession. He had his books and star maps, and a well loved telescope, but there was something missing. It wouldn't be till his first time in the Ghost Zone that he would find what it was.

That weightless feeling. Sure he felt weightless when flying or floating just above the ground, but in the zone, somewhere as infinite as space, the experience felt new all over again. He was pretty sure that all the emotions in the realms were affecting him more than he thought. But it wasn't like he was complaining. Not when it came to space.

It turns out, even outside of the Infinite Realms there were ways of recreating the feeling of being untethered to the world around him.

The first time after the portal incident that the Fentons went on a vacation to the beach, he felt that familiar pull of his core. It wasn't often Maddie and Jack put down their current project for family bonding, but at the request (guilt tripping) of Jazz they agreed it wouldn't hurt to take time off for the summer.

So the odd family found themselves on a long awkward road trip. Despite their promises, there were a few gadgets and gizmos in their luggage, but it could've been worse. Not everything went as planned- awful traffic, running out of gas, getting a flat tire- it ended up being a long two day drive.

In the end it was worth it.

The whole idea of a vacation started to look up when they found themselves in Maine looking over the horizon of the coastline. It had been a few months since Danny half died. By now he came to accept that fact. He had mourned his short life despite somewhat being alive still. He had better control over his ghost form and the powers that came with it.

He enjoyed the time off. Both during the day and night. But at night, there was much less light pollution here than in Amity Park. He could see more stars in the sky than he had ever in his life. The view was enough to reignite his obsession with space. And at night, when he went out back to the beach to stare into the abyss, Danny found himself floating once more. Drifting not too far from shore. Staring at the stars above for hours till it was like he too was floating aimlessly with the stars and planets themselves.

The following morning, Maddie woke up to find Danny already out on the beach. It wasn't horribly early when she got up, so she just assumed he hadn't been out for long. And that was good enough for her. Though, she did seem to be happy with how much Danny was enjoying himself.

Maddie swore she hadn't seen him this happy for what felt like forever. He was as happy as the night Danny got his telescope, stars in his eyes and all. Perhaps this was what the family needed. It brought back the look of child like wonder that she loved. One she wished she had been the cause of, though seeing it again all but made up for that. Maddie was just happy to have found something they could bond over.

Watching Jack pick Danny up over his head and toss him in the water only to be followed by the laughter of both her kids and her husband was enough to make this part of their norm. Yeah, she loved every bit of her work life, but she loved her family more. No matter how many things she forgot to do or how many responsibilities she neglected in the process. In the end, she loved her family more than anything.

The sentiment was shared with Jack, who beamed at getting to have this much fun with his family. He was a little disappointed that neither Jazz nor Danny was this happy when it came to ghosts, oh but look at them! Even if Jack wasn't the most (emotionally) intelligent person ever, he could tell Danny had been down in the dumps for a bit. But look at him now, he was so happy!

Both Jack and Maddie had the same thought, "maybe they should do this more often."

On the second night of the oddly relaxing get away, Danny ventured a bit father than the night prior. relaxing to the point he felt one with the waves. He found himself lucky he didn't exactly need to breath anymore.

After some time, he started to sink into the watery depth, feeling his core expand to match the vastness of the briny deep. He hadn't even realized he went ghost up until then. The other thing he failed to notice was just how far he had floated this time. At least being this far from shore he didn't have to worry about getting caught by ghost hunters, his parents or otherwise.

He was already out this far, he might as well explore while traveling back. So in all his new massive forms glory, he allowed himself to sink further down. To his surprise, while he was still close enough to see the the massive light house from the shore, he was also far enough to come across a small pod of whales, along with many other schools of fish.

For a brief moment it felt like he belonged there. Remoras deemed him good enough to try to stick to him while still tangible. Like he was just another whale or shark they were hitching a ride on. The smaller of the life around him startled at him movements and the push of the water around him.

After minutes? Hours? of swimming, his core tug once more. Deeming the spot he had come across the perfect spot. To take in the surrounding wild life, the small groups and schools that found their way to him once he rested. It was deep enough to where the moon illuminated the water above him, yet, where he sat remained quite dark. Though, maybe that was from his shadow. Casting over the sand and drop offs.

If he had to describe what he was feeling, it would be at peace. He may not be in space, but he felt just as weightless, save the pressure of the water. It was the closest thing he could find that felt like floating in the great beyond. Not like he actually knew what space was like, though if he had to say, it would be like this but better.

If he thought more on it, if he did get the chance to go to space, he was unsure if he'd ever come back down. Not only would he get this feeling and the view, both would be at the very least ten times better. He'd end up so entranced that he would never come back to earth or lose track of time. Knowing himself, he might forget that he's still half human and end up accidentally fully dying in space. Had to wonder how that development would turn for his ghost half, dying in the one place he dreamed of going to. The same place the became a part of him in the form of an obsession.

Case and point, time passing only registered to Danny as he watched the sun cast a brighter light over the water above. He hadn't even noticed the moon setting, let alone the sun beginning to rise. Once time made sense to him again, Danny was off back to the hotel. On the fly in the direction of the light house, he grew conscious of his new form and reverted back to his normal Phantom self. And what was left in his resting place were some few Atlanteans with bated breaths. Because What, the FUCK, was that?! A fucking Leviathan??? But it was small??? Only the size of a whale. Was it a baby. Oh gods it would get bigger! Was it dangerous? Did they have to fear the Leviathan, or would they be fine if it was left unbothered.

And it kept happening. After the first siting, the (probably baby) Leviathan came back. Always at night, the left in the morning. It barely even noticed them. It acknowledged the fish swimming around it and it was aware of how its movements sometimes made the fish shrink back and flee. To the few Atlanteans that decided it was better to understand the infant Levi than fear it right out the gates, it was almost endearing that the giant tried so hard to not disturb the ecosystem much. The thing was just so curious, even with its deep reflective eyes, they could see how taken it was with how the (in comparison) small fish reacted. And like the day before, it would "play" with the fish then grow still looking up to the surface, and at the break of dawn it would snap out of the trance and leave.

It would be twice more, making it a week, till the babe Levi didn't come back, leaving only the spot it laid. Nothing else was left behind but the imprint of it. But the few days it was watched, it painted Leviathans in a different light. It was young and curious, just as an Atlantean's young would be. Nothing from its actions painted it as a fearsome predator, nothing beside the sheer size of it. Not when it paid so much mind to the smaller life forms. It was as sentient as any other being of the sea was. Judging from its size, it was new to the world.

Danny didn't think anything of it. For the remainder of the Fenton's vacation, the family got on surprisingly well. No one was accused of being a ghost. Hell, Maddie and Jack both agreed to leave the gadgets and gear in the hotel room when they went into town for sight seeing and for meals.

The family ended up with tons of photos of their stay that Danny was sure to show off to Sam and Tucker when they went back. Speaking of which, the family were packing up preparing to go back home and back to their norms. It kinda bummed Danny out that they had to leave, but with Jazz's support of the idea, they asked if they could do this more to the delight of their parents.

This was a win for everyone. Jazz would get to enjoy more of her time as a kid, not worrying about her little brother. Danny was happier than ever, exploring during the day, spending time with his family with no mention of ghosts or getting torn apart molecule by molecule. Plus, Danny got pretty good at changing/controlling the change of his form. Jack got to have one on one time with both of his kids and his wife. And Maddie didn't drag Jack out of any trouble while also getting her baby boy back in the process. Even if it was brief due to this only being a week long trip. Point was, everyone had a blast. With the exception of the Atlanteans who had a heart attack or two when he first showed up. But he didn't even notice them.

That night, the same brave Atlanteans that observed the baby Levi waited for some time after nightfall for its arrival. Tonight would be the night they tried to get closer to nab a sample. One problem. The Levi never showed. Same with the next night and the one after that and the one after that. Soon the encounter was shrugged off as a one time thing. Was this just a thing that Leviathans did at a young age? Find a safe, secluded, place to rest then move to a new area? It was hard to tell for sure since this was the closest any of them had been to a Leviathan for an extended length of time without being in danger.

Yeah, it was disappointing that it left, but there wasn't much to be done about it. On the bright side, it was such a mellow subject. One could only wish that their young would be that calm. Pretty soon the Leviathan would once again be off the radar, the possibility of it returning was low in the opinion of the few that got near it. They had to assure that to plenty of people plenty of times. And plenty of times Aquaman had to assure the League that no harm was done.

After it's first appearance, Aquaman was understandably warry, giving a heads up to the League in case this took a turn for the worse. But worse for worse never came. From what was observed, it was an infant. Harmless to everything that came near it. He never tested whether or not that would be the same with him or his citizens since it payed no mind to any of them, choosing to not interact or it truly just didn't know they were there. Given how it was gentle to the fish-dozens of times smaller than it- he could only hope and assume it would act the same with them. Cause in the following days it was gone. Like it wasn't nesting outside of the kingdoms walls.

It remained gone for nearly a year before someone spotted it once more. Almost the same size as before, although worryingly small for it being a year older now, which raised both more questions and new found concerns. Was this poor Levi Calf not eating? Come to think of it, where had its mother been. A youngling that small should still be near its mother, but given it had barely grown since the last encounter, the possibility that it was abandoned or it's mother died was concerning. Not being taught to be a predator due to the death of its parent could explain its mellow actions and the lack of growth. But that also meant it wasn't taught to hunt nor defend itself. Poor thing.

Then that raised the concern of if there was something nearby that was big or strong enough to hunt and/or kill a full grown Leviathan. The thought was far more concerning than a harmless youngling that wandered a bit too close to the kingdom. As complicated as the subject was, for precaution sake, Aquaman had to inform the Trinity as a bare minimum. It was better for them to know to be ready to offer what help they could if needed and having their assistance might help with gaining a better understanding of the "small" Leviathan. Telling all of the JL immediately might cause a minor panic, but keeping it secret would likely be seen as withholding information.

Although he was still on the fence about spilling so soon, it was better to have the league on his side. That was the point of his appearance at the bi-weekly meeting. Arthur would have shown regardless of if he decided to tell or not. It was better to get it out of the way. Gods know how pissy Bruce would get if he wasn't aware of a giant ocean monster, more so if Bruce found out Arthur knew and didn't tell them. Man, B would tear him a new one.

Arthur, otherwise known as Aquaman, was sat around the table, mulling over how he was to tell the group. If he should run it by B first then tell the rest. Hell if he was supposed to know. Either way, his fellow heros would be made aware of the baby Levi's circumstances. He'd send his regards to that poor child who would soon be smothered with contingencies and monitoring until the heros were certain and satisfied. In the end this would prove to be the better choice. For everyone.

With the vaguest idea of a plan in mind he would inform the other members at the end of the standard meeting. If he wanted to tell Bruce first, he should have done so in advance. If he told him now, who knows, maybe Bruce would leave to do his own investigation and have Nightwing tag in for him. If not Nightwing, then one of the other members of his brood. That possibility couldn't be risked now.

All that was needed of him at the time being was to inform and assure that it would be handled accordingly. Not that he could stop Bruce's contingencies in the end. So long as the Levi remained calm and no blood was shed, he could consider it a win.

It wouldn't take much for any of the leaguers to act. Even the most sensible of them could be rash and impulsive, when it came to getting the job done and protecting their people.

Once the Zeta tube announced the last arrival, and the small talk and idle chatter was out of the way, the meeting would start. It was the basic stuff- tying off loose ends on incarcerated rogues, reports on the localized crime, how they could've done something better or worse- the usual. Only some minor setbacks in a bust, notes here and there for improvement. Then came Arthur's time to speak up, fill the rest of them in about the (potential) 'situation'. A low-stake, docile, seemingly parentless, infant Leviathan. He pulled from the reports of the last time it was spotted on the outskirts of Atlantis, time lapsed recordings of it doing nothing but resting and allowing the creatures around it to do as they pleased. On the occasion it would move, it did so slowly, seemingly conscious of its affect on the things around it. The youngling was considerate in that aspect. That was all it did, from night fall to sunrise, for a few days to a week at a time, then it left till the next summer came. What little was known about the Leviathan was that it deemed Atlantis safe enough to lower its guard to rest then migrated to a new place. The Ocean was a big place. Plenty of dark, secluded spots to hide and rest. Regardless of that, it returned for that week, then again a year later.

Finally was the consideration that no parent was spotted anywhere near the Calf at any point. When comparing the video from a year ago and the newer ones from the Levi resurfacing, it was painfully obvious it didn't grow much. If at all. They were sure it was the same one too. The chance that something killed its parent was at minimum concerning. Leviathans were always seen as aggressive predators, but this one seemed to be enough to disprove both parts of that sentiment. It wasn't aggressive and certainly no predator. If anything, at this state it was the prey to something else. Something bigger or simply more dangerous.

Nearing the end of the meeting, a live feed from where the baby Levi would sleep was playing, an Atlantean citizen was finishing putting the camera in place. It was coming up on the time it usually showed up. Once in place, the Atlantean swam off, and there was nothing for a few minutes. Then there was movement in the back. Far enough that it was just a blur. But sure enough it was the Leviathan, just something was off. It was acting sluggish, moving much slower than normal.

When it was within a few meters of it's resting place, it became clear that it was injured. Green liquid with splotches of red was pouring out of its side, mixing in with the water. The Leviathan's oddly humanoid hand was covering the injured side. Small chirp-like-gasps vibrated in the water, like it was crying out for it's mother.

Danny had come from a surprise encounter with Skulker, the latter getting the drop on him on his way out past the lighthouse. The rest of his family were already in bed when he was attacked, he was far enough that the attack wouldn't wake them either. But the league wouldn't know that. All they knew was the docile baby Leviathan was hurt bad, enough that it's blood was swirling idly in the surrounding waters. Bad enough that the baby was calling out for a parent that wouldn't show. For now though, they were operating on animal planet rules. Observe, don't interfere. But watching as something suffered was fundamentally against everything they, as heros and as protectors, stood for. They could do something, they could offer help, they could find what attacked it. But then what? Have what ever it's predator was go after them? How could they even help it when they didn't even know anything about it.

Were they really just going to let nature take it's course, yeah, Leviathans were dangerous, but everything that's dangerous doesn't deserve death. Causing danger and being dangerous weren't the same thing. It was only a baby that had done no harm.

Leaving the Levi to suffer would be no better than killing it themselves, it would sit just as heavy on their conscious if it were them killing it. Even with nothing said aloud, the decision was made. Making contact would be easy in theory, if Aquaman couldn't communicate with it with his marine telepathy then maybe Martian Manhunter could communicate telepathically or read its mind. In theory. But that only worked if it stayed calm while being approached and if their assumptions about it retaining a conscious mind was correct.

Those that could spare the time and resources returned to Atlantis with Arthur. They only had a few hours before the Leviathan, if it followed it's pattern, would leave. If it decided to do so, they had no way of stopping it. As planned, J'onn accompanied him, along with Barry and Bruce.

Equipped with flippers and oxygen masks, the three joined the Atlantean king to the Levi's resting place. It was in the same position as it had been last seen on the live feed. Curled into itself, making the same pained chirping sound. The liquid assumed to be it's blood started to settle around it's body, drifting with the movements of the group swimming closer.

Being this close, Arthur could see the Leviathan closed its eyes, lowering its guard even as it bled. In all it's time resting near Atlantis, it remained alert enough to watch the animals around it or gaze up to the surface. But it was too caught up in its own pain to keep its eyes open.

Arthur spoke to it first, alerting it of their presence. His voice reached the young spooking it at the suddenness of it. It became further startled seeing who was speaking to it. Regardless of its own agony, it jostled back away from the intimidating form.

How odd it was that something dozens of times bigger than them found the Leaguers to be intimidating. It was clear, in the reflective eyes of the Leviathan that it was scared. Perhaps that wasn't the right word. It felt unease at their presence. Something completely natural from a being that had been injured and didn't know who or what to trust. Given the sluggish movement observed earlier, it could probably barely stay conscious. But it didn't trust them. And that they couldn't blame it.

With the suggestion for Barry and Bruce to stay back for a moment while J'onn and Arthur tried to calm it, there were a few minutes of silence between the group as the latter two eased forward, lifting their hands in a surrendered motion. The moment of reasoning began with Arthur explaining that he was the king of the kingdom the infant rested by on the occasion. Then J'onn offered the explanation for them approaching making sure to specify to the baby Levi that they didn't intend to hurt or scare it.

Danny thought that being far enough away from Amity Park meant the ghost attacks wouldn't be as bad. Actually, he thought he could get a few days with no ghost business at all. Of course he had to jinx it. On the third night of their second family vacation, a year and a half after he died, Skulker had tracked him down. Still clearly dead set on completing his hunt, the fight would have been like any other if not for the new surroundings. With the stars above on full display and Danny being on the move to his new normal resting place, Danny wasn't as aware of his surroundings as he should have been.

He'd done this plenty of times. Going to the depths to float while getting lost in his obsession. Driven by the vary same obsession, he was distracted and Skulker used that to his advantage.

Skulker's attack landed, however, he didn't expect the halfa to grow in size seconds after hitting the water. This unexpected discovery would only act as fuel to the flame with Skulker's hunt. On top of being a prey that gave him meaningful fights and being half ghost-half living boy, he also held enough power to alter his physical form. Now that was a prey worth hunting.

Skulker followed Danny's trail for a few miles out till he lost him. Seemed like the Halfa could cover much more ground (or in this case sea) in a much shorter amount of time at this size. Too bad.

It took longer for Danny to reach his safe place, his adrenaline wearing out a block out from safety. Gradually his movements became sluggish like he could collapse at any moment. And he almost did once he was finally safe.

Danny found himself curling into a ball, pressing his enlarged hand against his side. This had been a closer call than any other attack made by Skulker. Way closer to a second death than he ever wanted to get.

There was movement near him, he assumed those blobs in his blurry vision were the usual life that found their way to him. Although, this time around they looked off. Bigger maybe. Moved more like people swimming. For all Danny knew, his head could have been hit during the altercation and he was seeing things as a result. Those human looking blobs were in the distance, by the top of a drop off behind some rocks and hadn't moved any farther or closer for the next fifteen minutes.

Danny wasn't actually sure how much time had passed. He was just taking a wild guess.

Those long fifteen minutes passed and in that time his eyes finally closed. He needed to heal. To focus. There wasn't any ecto near to use to heal. All he had to heal off of were his emotions: pain, panic, relief at getting away; The creatures-around-him's emotions: curiosity, hunger, but also worry and panic, which was odd, though possibly cause by him moving too fast and freaking them out; And his own obsession.

It wouldn't take long for Danny to figure out why he was feeling odd emotions from the surrounding creatures when one spoke to him. He didn't have that ability? He couldn't speak to animals, so why was one talking to him?

As his glossed over eyes opened, he was face to face with a human! No. That's not right. He was breathing under the water. He could hear it. That couldn't be a human.

Danny's eye began to focus as he saw long blonde hair flowing in the current and a yellow/green suit. He blinked once. Then twice.

Holy shit- Is that Aquaman?! This could not be happening. Oh Ancients- Did he do something? He could hear Aqua man speaking to him in a gentle tone. Okay, so he wasn't mad. Not out right. That's good.

Aquaman was introducing himself, saying he had been resting near his kingdom. That was an enough for a existential crisis by itself. Then there was a second voice and Danny's eyes couldn't widen any more, it was the Martian Manhunter. THE Martian Manhunter. Danny's all-time favorite Super Hero. Oh Ancients, he was using his telepathy on him! He could die for a second time happy now. Wait. Not the time. Did Martian Manhunter just say the Atlantean's had been keeping an eye on him since last summer?! At least the hero confirmed he wasn't in any trouble and they weren't going to hurt him. Nice to have that cleared up. Wait, if Danny was thinking this, could MM hear it?

J'onn could, in fact, hear his thoughts. And to his shock, the baby Leviathan knew what the Justice League was. Not just that, the Levi had favorites. J'onn felt slightly flattered.

The Leviathan being aware of them, enough so to have a favorite, meant it was much more sentient than initially thought. It was confusing. How could a young ocean predator know about the Justice League. Knowing about Aquaman and Atlantis would be one thing, but as it's eyes focused, it recognized each of them. It's thoughts were all over the place, it's emotions switching from excited at meeting them, concerned about having met them, and over all confusion.

It was almost worrying that the Leviathan knew about his powers. Knowing enough to worry if they were effected by it too. That displayed some intelligence. If this was just a baby, that could suggest that Leviathan as a whole weren't given enough credit. This young calf alone displayed actions similar to elephants returning to sources of food and water and taking migration routes. It being able to show favoritism was just even more fascinating, showing to be more human in the sense than that of Avian, Mammals, or any other Primates.

J'onn was getting distracted. He had to remember they were there for a reason. This first contact was important. J'onn introduced himself to the Leviathan, giving his proper name in place of his hero one seeing the calf already knew that one. He also happened to mention the uniqueness of the situation at hand, showing remorse to the calf for not having a parent. Now knowing that the calf was sentient, MM was more hesitant to go further than needed into it's mind. Therefore, until it was necessary, he would stick to using his telepathy as a means of communication.

Even in the mind, there could be mistranslations if a language didn't have a word for something in another language. The dialect of a Leviathan, however it was, was unknown to anything but a Leviathan. Contact with one was rare in and of itself, but communication was even more so. Encounters in the past had never been so bloodless. Well, this one wasn't exactly without blood either, but it wasn't from combat with the Leviathan and them.

From the quick dip in the Leviathan's mind, it was indeed young, only reaching sixteen in age. For a human, that was young, but a Leviathan, a creature that could live hundreds, if not thousands of years. This Leviathan shouldn't've been without a parent for another decade. When he took that quick look, he could hear the Leviathan telling him to stop. To get out.

The baby could feel him inside of his head. It's awareness was impressive. Yet worrying. J'onn apologized for the invasion, and with the help of the Levi's seeming favoritism, the apology was accepted.

Lex Luthor is the godfather to his favorite cousin on his mother’s side, Madeline’s first born, Jasmine “Jazz” Fenton. The red head has an analytical mind and should he not have children, he intends to pass ownership of his company to her from the day he accepted his role.

He can admit to being increasingly concerned whenever Danny’s own godparents are mentioned. Vlad reeked of a desperation even New Money rarely had, and his overt obsession was grating to say the least from the sparse times they’d interacted. Lex was also fairly certain that accident of his made the man a meta prone to possession—but as long as he avoided Lex’s goals he’d tolerate it. No proof, no case and all that.

He rarely heard from Jazz after she entered high school. Last he heard from the Fentons was their portal somehow worked, and he made a mental note to visit them as soon as his term as president was over.

Then he got a message from Jazz, for the first time in well over a year with a single message: GIW kidnapped Danny. Please send help. Please let this go through. Please. They’re going to—

Lex didn’t bother waiting to mobilize the country. He informed his VP he’d be back after handling a family matter: his honorary godson was kidnapped by a shady group and his goddaughter was in danger. He grabbed one of his suits designed to fight Superman and flew off.

He’s not losing anyone on the side of the family he likes. Now whoever these GIW were, were going to learn why you don’t cross a Luthor or their people.

Danny needs a few...odd things. A few dietary and emotional requirements unique to his physiology. Meat is one of them.

But like, raw meat. He doesn't have to eat it often, maybe twice a month, but it does need to be completely raw.

He also needs to eat non-sentient blob ghosts, which are very different from sentient ones. Same amount, maybe twice a month.

He's weak to hot temperatures, where most humans require some sort of positive contact he needs to fight, if he gets too much sunlight his dopamine levels drop, and oddly enough as he got older milk or products with a lot of milk started to affect him like alcohol affects humans.

Now that he's made it to college, hiding most of these things is easy enough.

He chose Gotham, because of minimal sunny days and naturally cold weather. He regularly goes for walks at night, to fill his need for fighting. He says he has a milk allergy, and avoids milk products.

The blobs and the raw meat are a little uh. Those are a little hard.

He's taken to ducking into a bathroom stall to just swallow the blobs whole. But the meat...

He decides to sear the outside and leave the inside entirely raw. Does this detract from the nutrients by cooking them off? Yes. Does it mean he needs to eat raw meat four times a month instead of twice? Yes. Does it mostly hide that he's doing this in front of humans? Kind of.

Until he got a vegan roommate.

Said roommate is far too sharp-eyed for his own good, and now the guy is being weird.

Or: Damian's roommate is a meta who clearly has dietary restrictions outside the norm. It's fine; Damian understands that like animals in the wild, people have different diets. But the cuts of meat Fenton is eating are...subpar. Damian isn't sure how to be...civil, or appear polite, or not be a "snob" if he suggests Fenton allow him to procure farm fresh cuts of steak from cows raised in an open pasture and were well taken care of.

Danny stared at his plate, looked up at Damian, and then looked back at his plate. “I know this is your turn to cook and all,” he started. “But I thought you were vegan, so I mean, the meat is already a little weird but like, this is raw. Like, somehow there is still blood dripping out of it onto my plate. Also, you don’t even have a plate, you just gave me this.”

When Danny looked at him again, Damian had that particular unimpressed look on his face like Danny had failed some weird test, which was rude because Danny was too busy trying not to drool over the cut of perfection in front of him. “I fail to see a question in your subpar descriptions, Fenton.”

He rolled his eyes. “What I’m trying to ask is why is it on my plate?”

“Last week,” Damian started, “you attempted to use a toaster to burn the meat. That was one of the most horrific mundane instances I’ve had the misfortune of watching. What’s more is that the meat you consume comes from subpar origins which both encourages cruel meat industry practices and gives you less nutritional value. I have a friend who lives on a family farm, and he was happy to provide adequate cuts of meat.”

Danny blinked as Damian leveled an expectant look towards him. That was a lot of effort to go through for just a roommate. “But it’s raw,” he said dumbly.

Damian let out the loudest sigh Danny ever heard. “Daniel”—oh this was serious, okay—“you do not have to hide how you crave raw meat. Obviously, you have different dietary restrictions than others. Considering how your teeth are shaped, you are most likely a meta with a mainly carnivorous diet. That did not bother me, but your refusal to actually stick with your diet is obviously having negative effects on you. So,” he gave a sharp gesture to the still bleeding meat, “eat. I can leave the room if that would make you more comfortable.”

Danny had not eaten meat since two weeks ago and that was gray-ish meat from the store a few blocks away that tasted like ash in his mouth. The meta bit was wrong but Damian did seem like he cared; and honestly, Danny was a bit too hungry to second guess his intentions. So, why not?

The first bite into the bloody meat made Danny realize just how hungry he was. He tore into it, disregarding any mess he made. It was so good, Danny felt a little drunk. His eating became faster; he forgot about the other person in the room. The blood tasted like the most divine thing in the entire world; he felt a dribble of it run down his chin but he was too busy to care.

He didn’t know how long it had been, but his frenzy died down as the last bite of meat disappeared. He sat there, feeling full for the first time in a long time, absently licking his lips and tasting blood.

A wet cloth touched his face, and Danny tried to focus on the hand attached to it but his mind felt hazy from the satisfaction eating gave him. The cloth wiped the lower half of his face where most of the blood was smeared. “Next time, Fenton, perhaps you will actually use the utensils beside the plate.”

Danny felt a purr build up at the affection. Ancients, when was the last time he actually purred? Years ago, probably.

The cloth paused, and then moved on to Danny’s bloody hands. “You’re definitely a meta, or at the very least not a base-line human. Maybe the next cut of meat should be less bloody.”

“No,” Danny immediately denied, voice hoarse. “The blood is—it’s the best part.” He remembered his manners. “Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.” It was a mumbled slur of words Danny wasn’t entirely sure Damian caught.

Damian took the cloth and wiped away some missed blood on Danny’s jaw. “You are welcome.”

Well, if Danny is going to say that he’s not a meta, he better explain that he’s a halfa before Damian thinks he’s a vampire.

I mean, I doubt Damian would care, but it’d probably be better if he didn’t start bringing blood bags to Danny….

The other officers in the station just thought Dash’s comments on the matter was just the new guy talking shit. They ate their words when the newbie brought The fucking Joker into the station in handcuffs single-handedly.

Ages ago, I read a fic where Danny was the Ghost King and had been holding meetings with the Justice League for several months—not as a hero, but as the ruler of a race that had previously been unknown to them. The problem was that they treated ghosts as creatures that needed to be dealt with or eliminated.

Danny kept trying to reason with them, explaining that ghosts are emotional beings and that most of those who crossed into the human realm were just as confused and scared as the humans they encountered. However, the Justice League refused to listen.

At the same time, Danny already had far too much on his plate: dealing with ghost hunters (whom the Justice League wouldn’t stop), school, his parents, and his new duties as king. When Green Lantern started asking him for weapons that could permanently eliminate ghosts, Danny finally snapped and ended up threatening them.

The fic ended there, but I couldn’t help thinking that Danny should have ordered his subjects to treat humans with the same hostility and lack of understanding that humans showed toward ghosts.

Prompt idea where Danny goes back in time and meets Wonder Woman. It could be on Themyscira during the infini-map situation but I’m personally partial to him meeting Diana during the World Wars.

The basics of it is that for whatever reason, one of the speedsters, a random time traveler, a ghost, or because Clockwork needs Danny to learn something there, he sends him into the past and he quickly ends up meeting Wonder Woman and helping her. He decides to stay with her until he’s finished whatever mission Clockwork’s sent him on and she ends up all but adopting him.

She’s teaching him all her sword tricks and how to fight without relying on his powers as much. The end up getting closer and closer and quickly get to the point where Danny starts subconsciously seeing her as a mother figure. To the point where he accidentally calls her mom, to his eternal mortification. Diana takes this all in stride though, secretly happy that her little warrior called her mom.

Things happen and eventually Danny has to go back to his own time period and his actual life. It’s a very tearful goodbye but it ends with Diana giving Danny a golden wreath crown as a moment of her and her mentally promising to find her little warrior again. She’s fairly certain now that he’s going to be born some time in the future. She doesn’t have much to go off of but gods damn it is she going to try!

Cut to some years later and Diana has become one of the founding members of the Justice League. She still has not found her son but she doesn’t say anything to the other members because she honestly can’t be sure if he’s even been born yet. This all is thrown out the window though when one of the JL members bring up reports of this ghost boy in this little town in the middle of nowhere Illinois. She sees a picture of it an yep, that’s her little boy! He’s even wearing the wreath so that mean he’s met her! She can go see him without risk to the timeline!

She practically sprints all the way to Amity only to find that he’s not here? None of the townsfolk know anything but when she starts instead looking for his human persona she isn’t able to find anything. It’s only when she investigates his parents that she hears, holy shit he’s whimpering in the basement!? She bursts in, ready to defend her baby but the scene she come in on is worse than anything she can imagine. There, on an operating table, is her baby boy. Opened like a gods damned high school science class frog! She can see his organs and knows some of them have been removed.

She does her best to sew him back together and hopes to the gods that his healing will be enough to get him to the Watchtower, all the while he’s crying and calling her mom and saying it hurts, when his parents come back into the lab, guns blazing, ready to fight whatever ghost dared to take their specimen. They were not, however, ready for a very angry and protective mama Wonder Woman who’s fully ready to kill at this point.

After giving the Fentons a piece of her mind, Wonder woman carries Danny as carefully as she can, trying not to disturb his wounds too much. As soon as she gets to a place where she can, she asks through comms to be teleported up to the watchtower.

The JL is flabbergasted at Diana carrying a severely injured young teen boy, and even more confused as to why she brought him to the watchtower and not to a hospital (which is protocol). They soon realize that both, this isn't a normal boy, and Diana is VERY attached to him.

The medical team better not let him die or they're all gonna have to deal with an angry Wonder Woman.

I think it would be cool if when Danny gets better, he wants to train with his mom again, but she's too worried about his health, so he bullies other JL members into it instead.

I like this idea but I’d like to modify it. It was explained that Diana fought with Danny during one or both of the world wars. She knows just how durable Danny is and just how quickly he can bounce back from damage that would kill a normal human. That, and she would want to be the one to teach her baby.

Diana is worried. She knows it's irrational, she knows he'll heal, but she can't shake the image of him laying on that table, flayed open, blood dripping down his sides even as tears dripped down his face.

Her little warrior wants her to train him. And she wants to! She has seen him fight. He has some skill already, but also potential for much more. She could polish the rough edges of his techniques until he's a fine warrior, fit to stand against any Amazon.

It's just that....

She wants to wait.

Her little warrior is so impatient. He's barely standing, only just released from bed rest, and already pushing to start training now. And that? That, she cannot do. She will not train him until he is fully healed.

(Until she no longer sees the gruesome scene of his rescue every time she closes her eyes.)

Danny is disappointed, but seems to accept her reasoning. She breathes a sigh of relief. Now she has at least a little time until—

Did he just ask Green Arrow to start training him?!?

Oh, absolutely not!

Kids gang - DP x DC really short prompt

Jason has return to Gotham with a clear plan to take over Crime Alley's underworld. Only problem? He didn't consider the power dynamics could have changed so much from the last time he was there. Not his fault, really, it barely changed in the 15 years Jason had been in Gotham, and who in his right mind would have ever predicted that one day Crime Alley would be owned by a kid gang?

Or, Danny arrived in Crime Alley shortly after Jason died left, and somehow, accidentally, overthrows the whole undergrown crime hierarchy and created a kid gang that now took care of the place.

Jason has to greatly adjust all his plans.
