The World Central Kitchen is a global nonprofit but the recent earthquakes means they are mobilizing so please donate if you can and boost if you can't.
The back to back earthquakes have devastated Venezuela and there has been a lot of seismic activity overall today so the WCK is in need of more help right now. They have already mobilized and are already handing out meals in Venezuela. They will continue to mobilize so please boost if donating isn't possible
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fre
Danny: Your dad came by the apartment, found me walking out of the shower in only a towel when I was calling your name cause I thought it was you going through the bedroom cabinets. I don't want him knowing I'm a meta crashing at your place, so I let him think we're dating instead.
Jason:
Danny: I'm aware I could have said literally anything else but I panicked.
Jason: Bruce doesn't even have anything against metas
Danny gripping the steering wheel until his knuckles go white: He thought you were acting suspiciously and had been searching the apartment for drugs. I figured you being gay was better than a drug addict or hiding a meta.
Jason: He thought I was on drugs!?
Danny: To be fair my ectoplasm treatments have you singing musicals
Jason: I ALWAYS SANG MUSICALS.
Danny: Okay, well, now you always had a boyfriend that just got really serious, and we're having dinner with your family.
Jason: What?! No! Do you have any idea how many years I spent denying that I was dating Roy? This is going to set me back!
Danny: I'm sorry! You can break up with me and tell them you realized you were straight if you want
I thought of this for a crossover with assassin's Creed (Dark Danny/Desmond Miles) BUT I just realized the potential this au has for Bruce/Vlad.
Vlad who is sent to the DC universe because Danny is busy as the ghost king and decides to delegating this one task (cleaning up the fermenting ecto before it begins taking over that world). It just so happens that the City Spirit also needs help before she drowns from her curses that have begin to overwhelm her, and what do you know one of her Knights needs to be taken to the Yeti for treatment, the tears from the Speedsters need mending, the Speedsters also need a good talking to because Clockwork will give him a break if he does, and he is too tired to think of mischief in this world.
Meanwhile Batman noticed this entity early on and studied their movements. He doesn't believe in coincidences and eventually gets the Justice league to back him up as he initiates contact. What they find is a snarky guy who pops in every now and again to help them. He tries to maintain distance but tends to gravitate to the bats since they remind him of his alleged godson. What makes Bruce change his mind is how he reacts to Superboy.
Bruce is a little concerned as he doesn't have any contingencies for Vlad and watches as Vlad easily kicks Superman's ass because his maternal instincts act up and surprisingly, he is not on Lex's side but very much mad at Superman. "You have a perfectly healthy baby boy and you reject his entire being all because you are so into your head you can't see what is around you!"
They learn more about their cryptid sorta coworker that day as dots are connecting. Superboy is so confused but also the one who knows the most, but in solidarity of his new dad/mom, he doesn't share much but tells them Vlad is getting better. "He was talking to Superman and I think he was trying to talk to himself." He already won brownie points with Tim for this and the rest of the bats end up following him partly because curiosity and partly because Vlad is soft with them.
A "tsundere" someone calls him and Bruce feels himself fall for the mysterious entity the more he is there for his children. And seeing as they have no contingency despite their best attempts, Bruce thinks it might be a a natural progression to try and romance Vlad. Mostly because of his developing feelings but it doubles as a seduction method.
When Phantom shows up to tell him he served his time and can come back Vlad doesn't want to leave. His family is getting ready to square up with Phantom while someone runs to the Batman Vault to get the few ecto weapons Vlad made for Batman's contingencies because he refused to be with a man who only wanted to be with him to control him.
In the spirit of inflicting some of my irl misfortune on my favorite characters, I give you this:
Danny and Tim are on the last leg of a road trip - headed back to Gotham - when they're struck with some sudden vehicular failure. Tim, being the hypercompetent car guy he is at heart, is prepared for this. Danny, being a bit of a mess with a competence kink, is prepared to watch Tim deal with it, and maybe gets a bit riled up wile doing so.
Ficlet under the cut (2200ish words):
Danny was confident when he offered to drive, at least for awhile. He and Tim had been on the road for - what, eleven hours, just in the last day - too long, and all of that time with Tim at the wheel. For his part, Tim claimed he didn’t mind. He liked driving, after all; he was a consummate car guy, liked feeling the engine purring under his hands, liked the handling of it, and liked as a matter of course the opportunity to be useful. To lead, to operate, to manage. It helped that he looked so good, too, while he did it, and Danny made no effort to hide his attraction to the way Tim looked driving. Reclined in his seat, head tilted at a birdlike angle, one hand draped with the wrist over the wheel, the other on Danny’s thigh more often than not, he looked like he’d been born with a gearshift in hand.
But - well, Danny liked to be helpful too, and he also liked not to contribute to Tim’s poor sleep habits when he could, and here on the last leg of their road trip they were both just sort of eager to be home. So he’d offered to drive for a few hours while Tim got a nap in. He wasn’t the best or most practiced driver, but he wasn’t nearly as bad as his dad was, so what was the harm?
That was his second mistake.
His first mistake - admittedly both of their mistake - was taking Danny’s car rather than Tim’s. It was a confluence of both circumstance and a smattering of stubbornness on Bruce’s and Tim’s - and, okay, also Danny’s - parts. Firstly, Bruce had forbidden them from taking the Redbird like Tim had initially desired to do, because someone had recently gotten photographs of Red Robin driving it through Gotham in daylight. It was now recognizable, even if the likelihood of that recognition being made outside Gotham was limited. Then, Tim had refused to use any of the Wayne clan’s other cars because Bruce had pissed him off and he didn’t trust their vehicles not to have trackers that he couldn’t find without dismantling them, and even his own vehicles weren’t free of suspicion.
Danny suggested they take his car, and Tim was reticent because Danny had never really let Tim overhaul it the way Tim really wanted to, because he still didn’t love letting Tim just do things for him. It was nearly an argument, but Danny had insisted that his car was fine, actually, and he’d confirmed the lack of trackers, and he was sure it didn’t need any more maintenance before they left than an oil change, and could they please go since all this squabbling over vehicles had already delayed their leaving by half a day -
This meant that when they were on the way back, eight-hundred miles from Gotham, still, and Tim was asleep and Danny was a little distracted at the wheel, it was enough to miss that their exit was coming up. He’d had to bank hard and brake harder in order to slot his car into the gap between two others while decelerating to the exit ramp’s speed, which - fifteen fucking miles per hour was much, much slower than he’d been going to try and pass the car he was now merging ahead of - but he made it without wrecking or flipping the vehicle or anything else that his brain was currently conjuring while he took them around the much-too-slow bend and tried to pretend that the drivers ahead and behind him must not be fuming at his audacity.
It was stressful enough that he may have forgotten to breathe, his hair whitening at the tips and his nails elongating with stress as he went a little ghostly.
Then the car shuddered, and the wheel slipped in his hands - fractionally before he renewed his grip and wrestled it back into the turn - as its handling became immediately sticky.
Then a rattling noise started up; when he merged onto the little state highway that was about to take them between interstates and pressed on the accelerator, the car - an automatic, to Tim’s immense distaste - tried to shift gears and that rattling turned into a louder and more concerning grinding.
Tim woke with a start. “Wha -”
“Everything’s fine,” Danny urged, maintaining his tone and choosing to ignore the expensive sound of what was probably his engine or transmission or something so that he could daringly merge into the middle lane anyway, easing off the accelerator and hoping that it would quiet down. “Go back to sleep, birdy.”
“It doesn’t sound fine,” Tim’s tone was sleep-rough but clearing by the second. He sat up, and when Danny chanced a glance over, there was that annoyingly handsome furrow in his brow and the slight moue that meant he was thinking through something. “You should pull over,” he said, already opening up something on his phone and peering at it. “There’s a gas station just ahead -”
“It’ll be fine,” Danny insisted. “Really. The car just does this sometimes and it always goes away -”
The check engine light came on. Then it blinked, went off, and came back again. He passed the gas station, coasted through a green light, and saw the highway turn to hills ahead of them.
“Danny,” Tim said, stress edging into his tone -
“I said it’s fine.”
“I don’t think it is fine, actually,” Tim said. He leaned over the console to peer at the dashboard. “The temp isn’t climbing,” he muttered, probably to himself, “no smoke or scent of burning. Battery isn’t low -”
“Tim,” Danny began, cresting the third hill -
Then the grinding pitched lower. Danny pressed harder on the accelerator and it did nothing.
“Dammit,” he said, scanning ahead of them - there was a gravel turnoff onto what looked like a pasture, just large enough to limp over onto. “Okay, hold on.”
A minute later, and Danny was sitting in his idling car - rattling lower, now, not grinding - with his head tipped back against the rest and his eyes closed while Tim rummaged through some compartment Danny hadn’t even known existed in his car.
“Birdy,” he pitched his voice just loud enough to be heard over the sound of his boyfriend rummaging through all their belongings to make space for all the random shit he was pulling from said compartment, “What are you doing?”
That was when Tim - having stripped off his sweatshirt down to just the black ribbed tank underneath as the car began to gently warm under the sun - climbed back over the console with the flexibility and grace that still sort of baffled Danny. “Make way,” Tim said, ignoring his question entirely, “I need under the dash.”
Danny huffed and decided to bail out the driver’s side door and let Tim do his thing. “I have roadside assistance,” he said, all too aware that Tim was diving headfirst into a pit of problem-solving focus. “We’ll get it towed to a mechanic -”
“No need,” Tim muttered. He was leaned over almost double, a red device with fluted silicon sides plugged into something, peering at the the readout with the same intensity he might use to stare down a rogue. “I can probably deal -”
Danny resigned himself to letting Tim solve it, as he was prone to do. Instead of meddling, he leaned against the side of the car, listening to the periodic rush of traffic passing by their little enclave and watching the muscles and tendons of Tim’s now-bared neck and shoulders strain.
In another minute, Tim was chattering idly about how this was probably something to do with his spark plug or ignition coils, and climbing back into the car. Danny watched his ass and his thighs work as he retrieved, from that same mystery compartment, a heavy-duty black box of who knew what and drag it out onto the ground -
“Did you install a secret compartment in my car?” Danny asked, bewildered, drawn from his idle admiration when Tim punched what was probably some Bat-code into a lock on the crate and opened it to reveal a large collection of some - random mechanical shit. And - look, Danny enjoyed tinkering, but rarely in a way that involved cars, so he didn’t necessarily recognize half of what was in this assortment of parts.
“Well, you wouldn’t let me fix it up,” Tim muttered as he pulled out a set of tools. “So, contingencies.”
“Contingencies,” Danny, despite injecting his tone with a certain level of done-ness, couldn’t help the fond expression that he knew was spreading across his face. Fuck, but it still never failed to make him feel so good, when Tim did shit like this. Shit that, to anyone else, might be concerning and invasive but, to Danny, just felt like care.
It helped that, again, he could watch Tim’s muscles at work when he turned the car off, pocketed the keys, popped open the hood, and started rummaging around.
“Phase this,” Tim said - Danny started in place, eyes widening when Tim pulled himself out from under the hood long enough to give him a knowing look and beckon him closer. Then he did as he was told, going intangible and phasing what looked like a set of four fused tubes up from over the top of his engine, and then letting it float to the side while Tim peered at the exposed guts underneath it.
Danny was quite content, in fact, to phase and float things around as Tim required, largely ignoring the man’s irate grumbling about when was the last time you had your spark plugs replaced, holy shit, and the coils too? Damnit, Danny - and whatever else he was getting irate over. Naturally, Tim already had the parts on hand and was content to use Danny’s tools where necessary or expedient to swap out some number - all six, Danny?? - of things that Danny might have identified if he weren’t all but entirely focused on -
On, well, the fine sheen of sweat that had broken out over Tim’s arms and shoulders, his brow, the back of his neck. On the warm glow of the sun where it hit him at an angle, on the black smudges that found their way all over Tim’s fingertips and forearms and, even, across the bridge of his nose.
The way that Tim’s hair went from fine and straight, with a neat middle part, to beachy and wavy and a little too frizzy as he ran sweaty hands through it.
And Danny, well, in addition to being helpful, he couldn’t help touching. Maybe he held Tim’s hair off his brow for a minute as he bent over double, muscles straining to hold him up over the engine block, or maybe he chilled a hand and stroked down Tim’s neck, his back, down one arm.
He just couldn’t help it, alright? Tim was just so - so hot, and so competent, and Danny always loved to watch him at work. It had him tenting his sweatpants, eyes dilated, fangs grown fractionally sharper in his mouth and a little bit of that extra ghostliness just hitting him right in the core the way it did when he was aroused.
And Tim, the fucker, knew what he was doing to Danny.
He peered at Danny over his shoulder, one corner of his mouth quirked into a wry grin, forearm coming up to swipe across his brow. Danny watched him do it, transfixed by the dark smudge it left there, by the thatch of also-fine hair of his underarm where it’d gone dark with sweat, with the way Tim’s undershirt had gone a little loose with the heat of his body and the twist of his torso exposed one pert nipple -
Danny stopped breathing again. His core hummed with a vibration not unlike that of his car’s engine, low and grinding and interested.
“See something you like?”
“You know I do,” Danny said, and decided to step up behind Tim, to crowd him against the front of his car and run a hand up under that tank, sliding through the slick sweat over his stomach. Tim twitched, full-body, and that grin went sharp.
“I need to run another diagnostic,” Tim said. “Now that the coils and spark plugs are all swapped out. You gonna let me go, babe?”
Danny was hardly listening. Instead, he was now all but blanketing Tim with his larger body, fangs grazing the skin of his neck. Tim smelled - so good, like oil and smoke and mostly-clean sweat and the musk of his body.
“In a minute,” Danny smiled against the junction of Tim’s neck and the hard jut of his jaw. “First, I’ve got something else you can service.” A sharpened nail dragged over one of Tim’s nipples and his birdy - always so sensitive - gasped through the noise that might have otherwise been laughter at Danny’s always-cliche lines.
“Fucking -” Tim huffed, still laughing a little, but mostly reacting to Danny’s hands on him, “- horndog. Let me wrap this up first.”
Danny couldn’t help but chuckle himself, still straight into the sun-warmed, Living flesh under his teeth and tongue. He bit down on Tim’s muscular shoulder, worried it between his teeth, then released it and backed off. “Fine, babe,” he said. “I’ll quit distracting you.”
Tim just raised a brow at him as he eased down, relishing in the friction between them as he did.
You should all know that I have Two(2) Headcanons for Cujo that I use interchangeably depending on what I need him for.
One:
Cujo is the Ghost of a once living dog. He lived a long time ago, back when dogs that didn't take to training were put down rather than being put to a different task. Cujo(though he had a different name at the time) was bred and bought to be trained into being a Gaurd Dog/Attack Dog, but he just had too sweet a personality that he didn't understand the attacking part. Because Cujo wouldn't do what he was trained for, he was thus put down, as were the times.
When Danny gave Cujo his name, and was more than happy with Cujo's love-bug, mischievous personality, Cujo becme very attached to him, and especially that name, and though Cujo doesn't stay with Danny 24/7, he does consider Danny his boy.
Tiny, baby puppy Cujo is the true Cujo, who he is down to his core, Massive, angry, agressive Cujo is who Cujo's original masters wanted him to be.
Cujo's "first language" isn't English which is why its hard to train him with it, Danny has an easier time using Ghost Speak or Dead Languages in order to properly train him since he doesn't know Cujo's "first language".
--
Two:
Cujo was never a living dog, rather hes a spiritual dog "breed" known as a Cù-sìth.
Hailing from Irish and Scottish Folklore the Cù-sìth is a green Mythical Fairy Hound. Cù-sìth are known to take both the souls of the living, as well as the souls of the dead, and are used by Fae Folk as watchdogs or pets.
Being a Mythical Fairy Hound, Cujo responds better to Fae Languages rather than any human language.
Danny is so done with the eyeballs that he asks Dani to punch him so hard he knocks out, and that's how he passes the crown to Dani and fucks off on vacation because if they won't let him live his life before being a king then they can can try telling a queen what tomdo amdnsee how that goes. It goes badly, just like he knew it would but that's not his problem.
Flash: Hey Phantom, Ghosts have a core right? Can I see yours?
Constantine: *facepalm*
Deadman: *winces and shakes his head*
Jason(Blood): *hisses in pity*
Phantom: *pupils turn to slits as he stares down at Flash, and he grins showing off sharp teeth* Sure Flash, but only after I get have a peek of your brain. *pulls a hacksaw out of his chest* Does that sound fair?
Flash: *yelps and darts behind Batman*
Phantom: *huffs, puts the hacksaw away before floating off*
Constantine: For the record, next time just ask him to bare himself to you. That's far less offensive.
Duke, blushing: No! I didn't mean- I mean you are very p-pretty! But-But I meant! I meant-
Danny: *slowly getting redder and redder*
Damian, sighing: *walks past Duke, grabs their order, shoves a very generous tip into Danny's hand, and shuts the door before Duke can embarass himself further* That was disgusting to watch.
Rebcca as a joke sacrifices Desmond (he can be your intern just save hin and the world) to some obscure legend Shaun found except turns out the Ghost King is real and he really likes junk food and found their terms acceptable.
Desmond in the King's office surrounded by stacks of paper: ... why couldn't I have a normal life 😑
Idk why this gets hidden but hereafter the tags that made this too spicy I guess 😂
Vlad leaving the Fentons alone because distance makes the heart fonder but not so much that they forget him. He goes to Gotham because the Manson child accompanies her parents sometimes and can report to Daniel about him.
He did not realize it would he ao lonely and looks around to see who would make for a good target, money does make him happy but then there HE was. The ma who adopted so many children and who adored him in equal measure. Vlad introduces himself to Bruce wanting to know his tricks but Bruce is in full Brucie mode so Vlad sighs but goes to the next source, the children.
Tim is suspicious as he watches Vlad talk to Dick but as he ease drops he begins realizing Vlad CAN be dangerous, but there is another way to neutralize him and satisfy his curiosity.
Tim hanging out with Vlad and doing research and starts worrying about some similarities he is seeing because yeah, you ARE being taken for granted and maybe I am too 😦 Tim checking himself for tampering and finds nothing concerning. He is just compromised and Vlad is being seen for the first time in a long time. He feels paternal over Tim and decides he will speak up for young Tim (he has learned to listen) and schedules a meeting with Bruce only for the meeting to get canceled. The next one is montha away so Vlad gives him one more chance before he wil enact drastic measures.
Dick concerned about Tim begins joining in on the Vlad hang outs labeled as business dinners and meetings. Vlad is happy to get another perspective from an adopted child. Dick is confused because he was expecting many things but not this guy who all but bends backwards. Especially when Tim is measuring Masters that friendship is a two way street so none of that here. Vlad doesn't want to chase Tim away, unaware of a new obsession forming, so that is why he is being so accommodating per Tim's requests. Vlad does have a private chat with Dick seeing as the older brother is protective, and in that chat he mentions rhe reason he and Tim got along so well is they they were lonely people looking for family, "I am telking you this so you can do better before it's too late. Tim is aware he only needs to ask and I will make him my heir."
Dick is now conflicted but sees Vlad as a personal threat and not an actual threat. Cass joins him and is surprisingly dotted on by Vlad who says he learned too late how to be kind to his daughter but would like her assistance if given a chance. She can see and feel hia sincerity so that is another child Bruce has to share custody of without knowing because he delays talking to Vlad lol
By the time he realizes, Vlad haa enacted the extreme measures aka throwing a glove into his face and demanding a duel. He isn't sure if it's for a meeting ir for the children's custody, but Vlad has become annoyed with the pretty man thay has it all but squanders their affection 😠
Bruce: you think I'm pretty?
Vlad: not all of that can be accredited to your butler, anyone can see now back to the duel!
After the duel the batfam sees him around and are surprised he can get through Damian. It's the liminality in Damian that is more likely to listen to Vlad. Jason stoping by because he has to see this. They brawl to the worry of everyone and Jason gets the deepest bestest sleep ever. Duke is the shyest of Tim's siblings so he tries to offer homework help to speak to the young man in a setting where he can slowly get to know him. It becomes a headache to those around because he gets Duke interested in the application of his meta powers and science. Maybe even inventing tools to enhance them because he thinks with a little support we can get your powers up to the daytime hero's level. "It would greatly comfort us to know you can defend yourself if any oof those metahunters try to go after you. Not that they will have you for long as I will find them and they WILL regret having targeted one of my kids." Duke is touched and concerned but also how do you tell your step dad not to worry?
Alfred enjoys someone who appreciates his skills and is open to learning some of them. Steph asking him if he will turn evil again and he blinks before letting out a big belly chuckle and he tells her no my dear I have a family to think of. Steph does the I'm watching you and his core is almost purring with how much this family cares about him. Steph reminds him she is not adopted by him or Bruce and it makes him think of Danie-Danny. It's been ages since he thought of any of the Fentons but he thinks it might be better this way. He hopes there might still be a chance with him and Dani, but he will wait for them to reach out first since he has always done it in a way that hurt them.
Meanwhile back in Amity Park Danny feels like it's quite 😌, maybe a little too quiet... has anyone seen the fruitloop?
he bounces around from universe to universe making graves for the dead and putting them to rest. hes not king in this, he just knows how it feels to be without a place to put his bones
danny, of course, carries his own with him, so he is, essentially, his own grave, and its... unsettling. gives him the ghost version of adhd, makes it impossible to take 'settle down.'
and he could technically solve that with a headstone but... well. graves are supposed to be made FOR you. even if youre paying someone or the government is putting you in an incinerator or whatever else is arranged by your family, its supposed to be a mark of affection, of belonging.
Danny died but nobody noticed. Danny left home and nobody cared. Danny left the UNIVERSE, and nobody looked for him.
they call, yeah, and theyre all friends still, but some part of danny feels so distant. he loves his family. he loves his friends. but sometimes he cant help but wonder how much easier their lives are without him. how much safer. if they ever think back on their wild high school years and feel relief that hes not around to mess things up anymore.
so he keeps moving, long beyond the time it starts to feel like running.
and he carves and carves and carves
An Angela here, a Jeoffery there. A Dua and a Haoyu and a Peter. A Zitkala and an Assol and an Ahsan. A Kleio and a Fabian and a Bluebell and so many more he can't remember them all.
It takes longer than he wishes it had for him to start writing their names down in a little book he tucks close to his heart.
He goes to mass graves that makes his stomach roll and his ears ring from how many voices cry out to him, and spends weeks carving name after name into rocks he digs up and places like sentinels around every sliver of bone.
He goes to cities and engraves plaques and nails them to brick walls.
He finds himself in ruins and plains and icy cracks and the bottom of the sea.
His markers won't last forever, he knows. But they don't need to. The dead are, in many ways, similar to the living. They want to be heard, known, cherished. It doesn't matter if it's for a lifetime or a moment.
Danny can give them that moment. For many, it's enough to settle their clamoring and usher them gently on. So Danny keeps doing it, because it feels good, offering people this measure of peace. It feels good, to help without fighting.
eventually, he makes his way to a city called Gotham. He finds many, many unknown dead there. Restless dead. Violent dead.
Danny, after a close call with identities and the league: we have to tell them at some point, maybe they'll understand. . .
Billy holding Danny by the shoulders, trying to literally shake sense into him: Danny. We are two black-haired, blue-eyed, vigillante teenagers. I'm homeless and your parents are actively hunting you. My name is literally Batson. This is no longer just about age. Unless you want to become a rich Gotham kid, you better lie like your life depends on it!
Dick: What are we going to do? Half the world is on fire, and the Justice League is gone.
Jason: Plus our resources are dwindling fast. With all the refugees we've been taking in, we'll all go hungry in a month.
Tim: We're out of guns, out of men, and out of options. If only we could go back in time and change everything.
Duke: That's a great idea Tim. I'll arrange it.
Cass: I'm sorry. You'll arrange it?
Duke: Yeah, I got a guy who can help.
Damian: This isn't something as simple as you calling your cake guy! Father is dead! The world is ending!
Duke: Okay, first of all, my time travel guy is also my cake guy, so it is that simple. Second, when Danny takes us back in time, we will save Bruce, save the world, and we'll have an amazing three-layer cake to celebrate.
Dick: Wait, the cake guy was real?
Duke: Yeah why wouldn't he be?
Tim: It's just that you would call him up at the oddest of times. Like that time when you called him at 3 am because you wanted coffee while on patrol and needed something to pair it with.
Duke: I get cravings when someone messes up my sleep schedule. Sue me!
Jason: Duke's bad eating habits aside, this time travel mission might be just what we need. The only reason we lost was that Earth was taken by surprise. If we go back and prevent the tragedy or even buy the past heroes time, we can save our world.
Duke: I'll dial Danny now
Cass watching him step away to make a call: Is this the same Danny, from Fenton Pastries?
Damian: Does it matter?
Cass: It does. He was trying very hard to get Duke's attention. I'm pretty sure he was attempting to seduce him with cake.
Dick: Was he successful?
Cass: No. Duke's only real love is bread.
Tim: Then we keep that to ourselves so the pastry chef/ time master helps us out as quickly and as effectively as possible.
Duke: Good news! Danny is on his way with Clockwork amulets and cake slices for us all! Isn't he the best? A true friend! Heck, he's practically family, like a brother!
Danny should form a goonion for fun, and then fall in love with the cute vigilante that gives him tips to make it more solid.
Red Robin started helping Danny the Goon to destabilize the Rogues workforce. He didn't expect to fall for the genuinely sweet goon who would help people evacuate from the scene because his boss has no business with them and made his fellow goons follow his example.
Red Hood is trying to recruit Danny but he is also living for the chaos as Scarecrow and Black Mask are facing a goon shortage lol
Danny and his goonion reps walking around at night with their vests, hats, and clipboards 😆
Danny talking into the Iceberg Lounge to set up a meeting with Penguin because he needs to see the working conditions for the goons. He assures him he is not here as health inspection, he just wants to check in on the goons and see if they have anything they want Danny to address on their behalf.
Black Mask tried to target him one time in retaliation of nit being cinsidered safe for any goonion members, but the local goons swarmed his guys and made it clear that if you mess with the goonion you mess with every single member regardless of boss affiliation 😡
The goonion evolving as Danny recruits Harley for their mental health coordinator and emergency counselor. Poison Ivy is not sold yet but she is open to helping create a community garden and maybe rooftop gardens as long as the people taking care of the plants are serious. She understands stuff happens but she cannot let them half ass that. The composting site is approved by her so he thinks he might be able to get her to become a goonion member 🤞
Waylon is a person Danny enjoys hanging around when he can. While not an official goonion member he is an informer for Danny and tells him anything concerning. He is hoping Waylon can eventually join as an internal resolutions guy because he is distant enough to be able to find solutions in between goonion members.
Danny setting up a table during the farmers market because 1 selling fudge there helps expand the treasury and the benefits for the goons and 2 the goons learning a craft get to earn money 3 he brings a goon and helps them talk to people outside of robbing them so it is personal development as a bonus 4 the more money he has the more he can expand Goonion Headquarters and the services that can be found on site. He could do without the Wayne fruitloops visiting his table, but they tend to pay extra so he tolerates the sorta cute Wayne. He did sorta make sure no body gave them trouble for setting up a table... so he isn't the worst BUT he is still a fruitloop 😒
Goonion Headquarters isn't at the stage he wants to be in, but he is able to coordinate with the local libraries and hire tutors that provide homework help for the local kids and members kids. Any kids that try to join the goonion are funneled here and with Red Hoods help, they are placed in a role that helps them develop non goon skills for the workforce and get back into school. Some libraries allowed Danny to put a fridge where he can store food. It is "only for goonion members" but Danny is soft and tells them to share with anyone who they know needs some. Especially during the summer when kids who don't have summer school face more food insecurity. Anytime it needs to be refilled they give him a call and he or a goonion rep refill it.
The goonion is also there when buildings get damaged since public services tend to take forever when it's near crime alley amd certain areas. Danny gets word and deploys the reserve goonion members that are in between jobs. They get paid and the city gets cleaned up so its a win win.
Damian, raising his eyebrow, unimpressed: What about them?
Jon: Well, you know a lot about them so...
Damian: Spit it out, dancing around the subject, as you are, is unbecoming!
Jon: Th-Theres a guy I really really like and he loves dogs, and is even looking into adopting one or getting one from a good breeder, and I offered to help him because I just wanted an excuse to talk to him! But I don't know anything about dogs! I mean, there's Krypto but does he even really count as a dog? I guess also Titus and Ace but I'm only around them when I'm with you, and all I ever do I pet them!
Damian: You can not be serious.
Jon: This dog thing is really important Damian! Apprentantly he couldn't have any pets when he lived with his parents, but there was this wild dog that he would play with sometimes. He, like, really loves dogs, he gets so excited when he so much as catches a glimpse of them! His eyes get all soft and his smile is so-so bright! And he is, like, obsessed with Krypto whenever Krypto is around, its so cute!
Damian, less judgemental: You are serious.
Jon: I just want his experience with his first dog to be perfect, yaknow? Sorry, I know I'm being unreasonable.
Damian: What is he looking for?
Jon: Huh?
Damian: This guy, what is he looking for with a dog? Does he have a specific breed in mind? Any allergies? What is his house like? Does he have a yard or live in an appartment? Does he live near a park or forest if he doesn't have a yard? Does he have any physical limitations? How much time can he alot to grooming? If we're going to help him, we need to know this information so we can help him properly.
Jon, tearfully: Damian! You're the bestest friend ever!*hugs him*
Damian, embarrassed: Unhand me!
Bonus
*6 weeks later*
Jon, postmission: Agh what are we going to do with this beast? Danny is going to be here in 5 minutes! He can't see this thing! He'll freak out!
Damian, pouting: If father would just see reason and let me keep him, we wouldn't be in this situation.
Jon: What even is it? It looks kinda dogish? Maybe it already has an owner?
Beast in question: *towering golden colored animal with a wrinkled dog like snout, massive dog like paws, scales going up its limbs, long, slightly curled fangs, a curly lion-like mane, and a long curly furred tail*
Jon: I don't see a collar, do you?
Damian: No. Perhaps-
Beast: *perks up*
Danny: Hey, sorry I'm a bit early, astronomy club let out early because Michael was stupid and did a back flip off the- *stops as he makes eye contact with the "beast"*
Jon: Uhhh Danny, listen this this is-is uh-
Damian: A statue. I had it commissioned and it just arrived-
Danny: How in all the afterlives did you find a Fu Dog puppy in America!*eyes glittering in awe*
Damian: Fu Dog?
Jon: Puppy?!
Danny: Hi baby! Oh you're just the cutest thing aren't you?
Fu Puppy: *wags and shoves his nose in Danny's hand, having decided Danny wasn't an evil spirit*
Danny: So how did you find him? Fu Dog breeders are suuuper touchy about where they send their puppies, they're almost unseen outside of China! *happy petting the massive puppy, ignorant to the bewildered looks he was getting*
Jon: Oh uh we jus-
Damian: Jon told me you were in search of a dog. My father has a friend that pulled some strings. He was supposed to be a surprise, but due to some miscommunication the puppy was delivered early.
Danny, eyes soft: Really? Jon thats the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me.
Jon, blushing: Oh uh it was-it was nothing!
Danny: Oh but this must have cost a fortune! How much do I owe you?
Damian: No need, my father happily payed, it barely made a dent. You can repay us by taking good care of him.
Danny: If you're sure. *laughs as the puppy licks him*
Jon: So, uh, not to be a party pooper but how is he going to fit in your house?
Danny, laughing: Uh, spirit shifting silly! All mythical dogs are able to do it, its how they blend in with their owners when they're masquerading as human or living. Its taught to all puppies as soon as they're old enough to be taught, since its so important to our part of the worlds secrecy. Watch, *clicks his tongue to grab the puppy's attention* P̸͚̦͌͆u̴̘̠̞̒͌p̸̡͖͛̈́͊͜p̸̠͉̠̒͘͘ÿ̵̫͚͓́̾͝,̴͕̼͖̓͌ m̸̺͕̘͋͠͝á̵̻͙͐́s̸̙͇̫̓́̚k̸̟̝͛̕͝.̴͓̠͉̐͌
Fu Puppy: *starts shimmering gold, and shinks down. the light dissipates revealing a tiny apricot colored Shar-Pei puppy*
Danny: See? *happily picks up his new puppy* Its fine!
