“I didn’t ask you! It would have caught you off-guard too!” Loki shot back, just a bit sore that he had been caught off-guard at all.

“Not a chance,” Loki replied with a shake of his head. It was a little tempting, he would admit, but in any real dire situation Thor would have his back, and that was all that mattered. 

“I’d rather work on my reflexes and take my chances than not have dessert for a week.”

Thor snorted.

“Spoil sport,” he said. “Come on then, let’s get home so we can get you to your beloved training yards.” He set his shoulders. “I’m sick of these elves getting in our way.” Magic glittered on his fingertips and spread, knocking trees back, sending a few elves as yet unseen flying with cries of pain. Loki he kept safe with a carelessly muttered spell.

“Heimdall,” he called, to take advantage of the newly formed clearing.

I have several drafts saved, but my nanna died a couple of days ago, and so my muse is zero. I will get to them but, not just yet.

“I thought you did not fear my spells,” Thor said with a grin.

I did not hear a 'please' dear brother mine. Think you I fear your spells? Ask nicely and I shall come forth.

The spell was cast; for the next month, no matter what he did, Loki would have roaches crawling on his books and through the pages.

“I did not invite you into my room either,” Thor said. “Courtesy is not your concern, clearly, so I shall not concern myself with it either.”
