with ao3 down i hope this reminds us of what a fanfic-less existence looks like. don’t take it for granted! because it sucks not to have it.

“Oh no,” she says immediately. “No, no, no. Don’t.”

“Hen, I need help,” Buck insists. “Eddie picked me up and it was hot. Then Ravi did it and it wasn’t. I just wanna know if it’s the lift that’s hot, or if it’s—” he gestures vaguely toward Eddie’s retreating back, “that man specifically who scrambles my brain like a microwave burrito.”

Hen squints at him. “Let me get this straight—”

“Wouldn’t that be nice,” Chimney mutters from the floor.

Hen ignores him. “—you want me, a married lesbian, to pick you up so you can measure how horny it does or doesn’t make you?”

Buck nods, all confidence and zero shame. “Exactly.”

Hen shrugs. “Fuck it. Let’s do it.”

Chim makes a strangled noise of betrayal.

Hen walks over, braces herself, and says, “Arms up, sweetheart. Let Mama Hen carry your confused ass to Jesus.”

keep thinking about those screenshots of buck's house after bobby died. no flowers. no one sent him flowers because it wasn't his dad who died, not really. just like chris leaving wasn't his son leaving, not really. eddie going to texas wasn't his partner leaving, not really. buck occupies all of these spaces unofficially and he knows who he is to them but when they leave he's always, always left with nothing. again. most important relationships of his life and he's empty-handed and wondering if he'd imagined it all in the first place.

Okay, so, I can't sleep, and I realized we got a shot of Buck's fridge on focus, and I know we all focused on the way Buck still has that picture of him and Chris from before the tsunami, but that shot meant that I could finally get answers and know EXACTLY which shots are in Buck's photo strip from May's graduation. And I found out something that's making me want to run a lap around the block even tho its 3:30 am.

When I talk about the pictures in Buck's fridge, I always run with the assumption that he has a picture of every character we see him take a picture with, so Maddie, Chris, Eddie, and the group picture. So I always add something like this and call it a day.

But NOW, I can confidently tell you what pictures are in it.
