Harris will not lose because of third party voters and palestinians she will lose because this country is becoming further and further right wing. The white vote in this country is farther right. The democrats in trying to curry favor with this white populist rise abandoned their usual campaign policies and did so for nothing. Talks of being harder on the border, dismissal of trans rights, vague talking points on abortion, dick Cheney endorsement was all in response to the right wing rise happening even in the blue states. And they did it all for nothing.

Do people realize that choosing to deal with the outcome of this election by going into the inbox of minorities on Tumblr (particularly Arab people) and blaming them is probably not the look they want to go for if they want to dispute that they have internalized racism or view people of color as their punching bag for something that had nothing to do with them

I also can’t believe this needs to be said but why do people feel the need to be like “Is this what you wanted?? Are you you happy now??” Like no???? It was always a decision between two fascists. People of color (and esp Arabs) were dreading this election bc they knew that neither choice would herald any actual change. Now imagine being in a person of color’s shoes and knowing that no matter what you did you’re being fucked over anyway

its almost as if trumps loss in 2020 was in-fact a bellwether for the continued rise of neo-fascism... its almost like, just maybe, when a liberal party responds to reactionary ideologies with centrism and militant nationalism it doesn't exactly offer a counter to fascism but instead offers nutritive soil for its roots to grow... you could almost argue that a state that extracts its power from violent exploitation will inevitably fall to fascism... perhaps, just maybe, this is the inherent trajectory of a nation built on genocide... weird...

A Palestinian boy throws a rock during the first intifada

His name is Ramzi Abu Redwan. During the time the picture was taken he was 8 years old. Today he is 36 and has become a world-class solo musician and composer, playing the Oud, Buzuq, Violin and Viola. 

He was discovered by a Palestinian musician who recognized his natural talent at the viola, and later received a scholarship to study at a conservatory in France. He could have stayed there and lived a comfortable life in Paris, but instead, he chose to return home and give back the gift of music by openning music schools in Palestinian towns and refugee camps.
