One day someone asked Sirius if he was bored with Remus because they are so different. Sirius was almost pissed that people saw them like that, but he answered anyway: boring? you must be joking. Remus is the funniest and most interesting person I've ever met (sorry James). But with him my soul rests and this is much more important than endless fun.

When Walburga found out that Regulus was dating James, she approached him before summer break and said all this bullshit about how they can't be a couple and Regulus doesn't love him. In fact, James did not believe this and tried to write letters all summer, but she intercepted them, convincing Regulus that James had abandoned him and he could trust only her. She didn't let Regulus go back to school. They never spoke again.
