I don't know who my intended audience is here, so whoever needs to hear this, I am begging you to learn to participate in conversations that are about things you aren't interested in.

Part of socializing and having friends is being a good listener even when you don't actually give a shit about the subject.

Your are hurting other people's feelings when you bluntly respond with "Anyway..." and then change the topic.

It can not always be about your preferred topic.

You are being rude. Yes, even if you are neurodivergent. You can be both autistic and rude.

learning to notice an absence of people of color is crazy. you start seeing it everywhere. ill see a random pic of characters or people or whatever and be like "these are all white people. why"

I was recently watching a video made by a black person and they brought up an anecdote from their childhood and brought up a picture of a black baby. And I was like... surprised. And then I was surprised that I was surprised. I'm just so not used to babies being black and I immediately thought of this post. Like yeah. There's so little POC that I was *surprised* to see a black baby. What the hell.

They should just bite the bullet and make a female James Bond. Hot, athletic, suave. She wears tuxedos with a somewhat feminine cut, drinks vodka martinis, drives sports cars, and goes by "James", because why not.

Also, because this is incredibly important to Bond for some reason, she needs to be an incredibly predatory, womanizing lesbian. Some perfectly happy married straight woman needs to become gay by the end of the movie.

We live in the future, and we can admit that all of the cool things that a Male James Bond can do are things a Female James Bond can do. But at all costs, we need to avoid making this thing feel "woke" of self-aware. If Female Bond is not exactly as toxic and awesome as any of the male ones, we will have failed, and might as well be making another franchise.

I really hate when I have to unfollow someone because they decided to be transphobic. Can we all agree that there's no place to hate on trans men or trans women or nonbinary people? Like it's getting really old. Solidarity or nothing. I don't want fake ally-ship you either stand with each of us or none of us. You cannot say you support trans people and willingly hate one side of the trans spectrum. We can absolutely call each other out and hold each other accountable but this stereotyping and malicious behavior towards one another needs to fucking stop. It's concerning how easily people are falling into the fascist trans hate belief systems. Decolonize your thoughts.

been working on unlearning male defaultism in the ways I speak to people and I've replaces "guys" with "crew". and you know what? it's SO fun. addressing the readers of my posts with a "kia ora crew!" and saying farewell to my friends with a "bye crew!!" is so delightful. everyone should adopt a fun way to address people. peace and love

I’m not Christian, I don’t go to church anymore, and my pastor died, but when he was alive I’d sometimes go to his sermons and I remember one time he said “it feels good to hate, but we know that it isn’t allowed, so when we’re told that we’re allowed to hate someone we get so excited that we forget we’re supposed to love”, and if my humble atheist ass might borrow some church talk I’d like to perhaps submit that
