Late night thoughts

I crave attention from the people around me, always wanting more, but they all seem to busy in their own lives to think about mine. They don't care about the fact that I got my nails painted. They don't care that I got a new dress, new ring, or new shoes. People are too wrapped up in their own worlds to pay attention to the people around them. This is a flaw because you get to know people better when you focus on the little things. Oh, you got new shoes. I love them. Oh you got your hair cut? It looks so good on you. These things shows that you truly appreciate the little decisions in peoples lives, which is a reflection of them. Choices are what define me. Anyway, this is just a 3am ramble, and the moral is: I want someone to truly focus on me like I focus on them. It's exhausting putting in more effort than people give, but that's the cruel reality of our world; people are selfish.

HELP!!!

Okok guys, I need some serious help. Imma explain the whole situation so buckle up your seatbelts and give this mofo some help.

SO, I broke up with my ex last may and in june I started liking smo else. Now, I wasn't looking for a relationship then because, yk, it was too soon. So I brushed it off during the summer, but I still found myself thinking about him. When school started, I had every intention of telling my friends about my crush BUT THEN my friend, who I've known since I was born, tells me that she likes him. so I brushed my feelings off and ignored them, but she kept talking about him. Little things like "damn he looks hot today" "we had a whole conversation and all I could notice were his eyes" AND I COULDN'T HELP BUT AGREE. I mean he does look hot today. anyway, she, not only likes him, but also likes someone else. AND she has a hallway crush. (Mind you, we're both in highschool so this will be insignificant in a few year). I told my bestfriend and she keeps on telling me to tell her. I have no clue what to do. Like I really like him. and if we dated, we would just fit. Also I think he likes me, like his mom saw me at parent-teacher interviews and they both smiled at me. Like??? Tell me he doesn't like me....

Anyway I need some serious, serious help.

insane here’s how can jegulus + hily + drarry + post war traumatized harry can still win:

picture this, when the golden trio discovers what happened with regulus they somehow discover that he didn’t die but instead got stuck in the horcrux when he tried to destroy it. When the golden trio manages to destroy the medallion out comes young Regulus Black.

the kids explain everything that happened since he got stuck in “limbo” and with his help they manage to find and the destroy the horcruxes and lord voldemort faster. after the war is over harry tries to give grimmaulds place to regulus but regulus refuses to live there by himself and invite harry to live with him since neither of them have families and they develop a stepdad/stepchild older brother/little brother dynamic and help each other heal from their respectives family traumas and grief by bonding, talking and just living trying to rebuilt what was left of their lives by living a simple life together (in the most parent/kid way possible) regulus gets a muggle job as a librarian and harry becomes a muggle kindergarten teacher and they commute home from work together and enjoying a routine of working, hanging out, talking and annoying kreacher (whom regulus hugged and cried on when they reunited but if you ask regulus he will flat out deny it).

Regulus eventually tells harry about the secret romantic relationship he had with james when he was 14/15 and how sirius getting diswoned made their parents attention turned exclusively to regulus and how the pressure to become the perfect pureblood son soured his relationship with james and how even after secretly rennouncing voldemort and deciding to destroy the horcruxs he didn't feel like he could approach sirius or james because they both looked so happy with their lives and partners and how he was very sure that lily and james were soulmates and how happy they became when they found out they were expecting harry (harry cries a little bit about it).

After the revelation about his dad's bisexuality and remus and sirius relationship harry feels confortable enough to end his relationship with ginny and truly explore himself as a person free of the eyes of the wizarding world and his friends well meaning but misguided advice and he starts to explore his personality and sexuality with muggles. He makes friends at his job and goes on dates and has a lot of fun.

During harry's distancing from the wizarding world, he decides to work on his own little family. He loved ron and hermione and he knew that they and the weasleys would always be there for him, but that ron and hermione needed space to grow and work on themselves as a couple

(ginny took the break up well and focused all her energy in helping her family grieve their brother and starting her career as a quiddtich player)

harry realizes how luck he is for having such a huge support group of people and starts to feel bad for regulus since his only company is harry, so he starts to talk regulus into tagging along his weekly teddy visits in hopes to reunite regulus and andromeda and after some arguments and one very ridiculous fight regulus gives in and goes to visit adromeda. Their reunion is tentative but frantic and it takes over three hours of talking about everything that happened since they last saw each other and some crying (but if you ask regulus he will flat out deny it) while harry and teddy make a mess with paint and flour in the other room, but they reconcile. Teddy becomes obsessed with regulus and uses his transfiguration powers to transform his hair into regulus long black pin straight hair to chew on it and andromeda and regulus manage to spend hours upon hours talking and gossiping about everything and everyone and for a few months the four of them are their own little found family, until harry decides to try and expand it.

in secret he sends a letter to the one and only daco malfoy inviting him and his mother for tea time at andromeda's house, not expecting much of it, but lo and behold one week later during tea time someone knocks and harry sprints to the door to find draco and his mom standing unconfortably in front of him. he invites them in and him, draco and teddy witness the very dramatic and explosive reunion between the black sisters and their only living cousin, going to the kitchen to hang out while the blacks scream, fight and hug each other.

Initially harry's waiting some kind of unfriendly, bitter behaviour from daco but them rapidly bond over teddy and making fun of the drama happening in the other room, but both feel their hearts full from getting to witness their loved ones finally reconciliating with their family. Behind his crybaby, catty and downright nasty behaviour draco is actually very funny and great to hang out with, so draco and his mom become a permanent part of tea time with andromeda and teddy on the weekends.

I am now getting more involved in feminism, using this platform to spread these messages, because it’s becoming realer and realer every day. As i get older, more things happen. it needs to stop. i have many stories of boys slapping my ass and being catcalled and i’m sick. i’m sick of being tired of walking around alone or with my sister. i’m sick of men staring and people telling me to cover up. i’m sick of the gouvernement ignoring everything that women say, simply because they are women. i don’t want my future daughters to feel like this. i am a feminist. i want equal right. i don’t want to fear being killed simply because i say no. so now i’m asking all girls and all women to stick together. we will only win this if we aren’t putting each other down. we are powerful and smart and we should be able to do as much as men can. it’s unfair so let’s make it fair. tear down the goddam patriarchy. it’s gone on for too long.

I was once out alone just getting some chips when this creepy guy started following me. obviously i was scared. i saw an older woman and stared at her until she saw how scared i was. at this point the guy was talking to me saying things like “hey beautiful” and trying to get me to go with him. she went up to me and told me “there you are. you found the chips i wanted.” and proceeded to buy me my chips and she walked me to my car. i drove her to hers since it was on the other side of the lot and only drove away when she did. that’s when i realized, once again, that women need women.

i propose we make july 11 the official AO3 volunteer holiday, to celebrate them once each year commemorating their incredible work in this battle!

(not to say we shouldn't celebrate them every day, ofc we should, but i'd be nice to have a tumblr holiday for them too!)
